Born on Dec. 17, 1925, in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of William E. and Lulu (Martin) Thompson. She married William Beaulien on Jan. 12, 1957, in Brooklyn. Muriel and William moved to Lake Luzerne in 1992, after spending summers there since 1971. She was a faithful member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church, Lake Luzerne. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, cooking, playing pinochle, and traveling. She especially enjoyed their trips to Hawaii. Muriel was predeceased by one sister, Edith Donohoe and two brothers, Edward Thompson and Stanley Thompson. Survivors include her loving husband of 48 years, William Beaulien; one son, Charles Beaulien and his wife, Rona, of Kendall Park, N.J.; three daughters, Susan Beaulien and her husband, Ed Lusnich, of Daly City, Calif., Nancy Hauser and her husband, Kevin, of Nashua, N.H., and Carol Williams of Bull Head City, Ariz.; six grandchildren: Connor Beaulien, Kristin Beaulien, Jenny Hauser, Kathy Hauser, Anson "Bobby" Williams and Emily Williams; a special son-in-law, Anson Williams of Lake Luzerne; and several nieces and nephews. Watters "Liz" TROY -- Elizabeth "Liz" Betty A. Watters Dahl, died Monday Aug. 22, 2005, at the Springs Nursing Home in Troy. Born in Sudbury, Vt., she was the daughter of the late Amos Marsceill and Marcia (Hurlbert) Marsceill Ryan. Liz resided in Cambridge for many years prior to moving to Troy in April of 2000. She was employed for many years as a waitress, worked for Sherwood Catheter Co. in Argyle and retired from the Cable Wire Co. in Bennington, Vt. While in Cambridge, Liz was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Cambridge. Survivors include a son, George L. Watters of Tennessee; two daughters, Patricia Watters Bentley (Darwin) of Tennessee, and Rhonda Watters Krall (Glenn) of Pennsylvania; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 13 great- great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and two cousins. She was predeceased by her mother and father; three sisters, Shirley Briggs, Ursula Ward, and Leida DeCoursey; and one brother, Clarence Marsceill; a daughter, Carole G Watters Nichols and her granddaughter, Annette Balistreri, who were killed on Aug. 7, 2005, in an automobile accident in Florida; three grandsons, Donnie Nichols, Grant Bentley, and Scott Bentley. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Liz lived life to the fullest, was a warm and loving person, and will be missed by her family and friends. Hall, Ralph C. SALEM -- Ralph C. Hall, 79, of Salem, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Aug., 24, 2005, at Glens Falls Hospital with his family at his side. He was born in Belcher, N.Y., on Nov. 23, 1925, the son of Clayton L. and Rubie McKernon Hall. Ralph worked on the family farm until it was sold. He worked for years as a rural mail carrier until his retirement. He was an integral part of the community of Salem. He served as a village trustee for many years. He particularly supported the Salem Rescue Squad, the Salem Fire Department and the Bancroft Public Library. He knew almost everyone in Salem and they knew him. Ralph will be remembered best for his generous spirit. He was an avid gardener and every year he could be seen sharing his harvest with family, friends and neighbors. He especially cared for community residents who were elderly or on fixed incomes. He would act as a handyman shoveling snow, repairing squeaky doors and defrosting water pipes, always helping those in need. He was a loving, caring family man. He worked very hard but always found time to spend with his wife, children and grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two grandchildren, Justin Gillis and Gregory Filer. Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Mary McCann Hall; his three daughters: Deborah Hall, Denise Gillis, and Diane Arnold and her husband, Bo, of Salem. He also has six grandchildren: Jessica, Jeremy and Brittany Gillis, Evan Black, and Cameron and Audra Arnold, all of Salem. Ralph is also survived by one sister, Marjorie Hall Barkley; two brothers, Glenn and Robert Hall, as well as several nieces and nephews. Monroe, 58, formerly of Corinth, passed away Thursday, Aug. 25, 2005, at Saratoga Hospital following a long illness. Born on May 16, 1947, in Corinth, she was the daughter of the late Alex and Marion (Carter) Winslow. Susan graduated from Corinth Central Schools in 1965, and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Corinth. She was always up for adventure and moved to Fairbanks, Alaska, in 1991, and then Grand Forks, N.D., before returning to Corinth in 1997. Susan was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include two daughters, Sandra and her fiance, Tony Cuthrell and their children, Alex, Autum, and Anthony, all of Glens Falls, and Sheryl and her fiance, Joe Goldson and their children, Dearian, Joe Jr., and Caleb, all of Glens Falls; one son, Robbie Millington of Glens Falls; her stepmother, Annie Winslow of Kirkville, N.Y.; two sisters, Darlene Walker and her husband, Jim, of Zephyr Hills, Fla., and Joyce Mann of Utica; special nieces, Dianne Bunting, Jeanne Monin, Lori Carte, Sunny Nealey, Joanne Catzin and Dawn Bick; special nephews, Jim Walker Jr., David Mann Jr., and Jon Mann Jr.; several great-nieces and nephews; and a special cousin, Mary Fuller and her husband, Bill, of Corinth. Patten, 66, formerly of Adamsville, died Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2005, at the Stanton Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre, Queensbury. Born on Sept. 25, 1938, she was the daughter of the late James and Evelyn (Walsh) Patten. She was a 1959 graduate from Hartford Central School, and a member of the Adamsville Baptist Church. One of Kay's many enjoyments was playing bingo at the nursing home with her friends. She also loved to play Scrabble with her friend, Kay. Besides her parents, Kathleen was also predeceased by her brothers, Richard Patten, Clifford Patten and James Patten. Survivors include her brothers: Robert Patten and his wife, Jane, of Hudson Falls, Edward Patten of Hudson Falls, Howard Patten and his wife, Lois, of Hudson Falls, and Raymond Patten and his wife, Darlene, of Interlaken, N.Y.; her sisters: Ida Dessaint of Argyle, Betty Duell of Hartford, Mildred Paradis and her husband, Romie, of South Glens Falls, Dorothy Claire of Northville, N.Y., Gladys Flynn and her husband, Donald, of South Glens Falls, and Elaine Benson of Fort Edward; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Ruggles, 80, of Gulfport, Fla., and formerly of Glens Falls, died Monday, Aug. 22, 2005, at Bayfront Medical Center. Born in Fort Edward, he moved to Florida in 1991. He was an Army Corporal, serving in Europe during World War II as chaplain assistant. Mr. Ruggles was a member of Maximo Presbyterian Church in St. Petersburg, Fla., was a deacon for three years and very active with the church men's group. He was a new car manager for 39 years with Queensbury Motors in Glens Falls, and from 1996 to March 2005, he was a Gulfport City employee at the library. He was predeceased by his wife of 44 years, Elizabeth White Ruggles, and his son, Robert C. Ruggles. Survivors include a daughter, Jane Lawler, of Gulfport, Fla.; a son and daughter-in-law, Allan W. and Mary Ruggles of Essex Junction, Vt.; two brothers, Robert E. Ruggles of Glens Falls and Donald Ruggles of Rhinebeck, N.Y.; two sisters, Millicent Pruyn of Garden City, N.Y., and Judith Ritchie of Coronado, Calif.; one granddaughter, Stephanie Lawler; and many nieces and nephews. Smith, 37, a resident of South Glens Falls, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2005, at Glens Falls Hospital following a long illness. Born on July 22, 1968, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of Gerald and Helen (Robinson) Girard. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Glens Falls. Kim was a loving and devoted wife and mother who enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling to the ocean with her family. She was a graduate of St. Mary's Academy in Glens Falls, and attended the Junior College of Albany, majoring in art. Kim was a teacher's aide for the South Glens Falls school system, Harrison Avenue, where she enjoyed working with children who had special needs. Her hobbies included being a cheerleading coach for Pop Warner football, painting, dancing, camping and bowling. She was also an avid reader. Kim was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, James and Anna Robinson; paternal grandparents, Anthony and Dorothy Girard; an aunt, Patricia LaPointe, and uncles, Randy LaPointe and Alfred Robinson. Survivors include her husband, Richard D. Smith of South Glens Falls, whom she married on July 8, 1989; her children, Jacqueline Smith, Richard Smith Jr. and Danielle Smith, all of South Glens Falls; her parents, Gerald and Helen Girard of Glens Falls; her sister, Tammy Dean and her husband, Steven, of Norfolk, Va.; her brother, Randy Girard of Glens Falls; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Michael and Angela Smith Sr. of Glens Falls; her brother-in-law, Michael Smith Jr. and his wife, Kimberly, of Queensbury; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her special companion and loyal dog, Candie. Born on July 7, 1930, in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Henry and Mary (Penders) Washburn. He attended South Glens Falls High School, and then joined the Army in 1949. He is a veteran of the Korean War, and was awarded the Purple Heart and Good Conduct Medal. Robert loved building boats in his spare time and one of his boats was selected to be shown at the Schenectady Museum. Survivors include his brothers and sisters: Seward Washburn and his wife, Elva, of Hudson Falls, June Salerno, of Ballston Spa, John Washburn and his wife, Hansi, of South Glens Falls, and Clayton Washburn and his wife, Judy, of South Glens Falls; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. GANSEVOORT -- Ada L. White, 93, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2005, at her home. Born July 14, 1912, in Fort Ann, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Mabel (Coon) White. She had been employed by McMullens and the Troy Shirt Factory, retiring in the 70s. In her earlier years, she enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking and sewing. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Harold White; three sisters, Gladys and Dorothy White and Thelma Billington; two nephews, Donald Billington and Harold White; and two nieces, Roseanne and Peanuts Billington. Survivors include one nephew, Floyd Billington Sr. of Warrensburg; two nieces, Dorothy Hammond of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., and Eunice Kennedy of Queensbury; and several great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.
