"Bo Bo" QUEENSBURY -- Anthony B. "Bo Bo" Barber, 44, of Queensbury, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005, at his home. Born Oct. 9, 1960, in New York City, he was the son of Lucille Barber and the late Dennis Barber. He was employed at B.D.P. as a certified Welder. Anthony loved listening to music and playing sports; he would play basketball in the summer with friends. Most of all, he was happiest being a loving husband and stepfather. Anthony was a fun-loving guy who would brighten up a room. We may have lost an incredible man, but Anthony B. Barber will always be remembered and loved. Besides his mother, he also left behind a loving wife, Billie-Jo Barber and two stepdaughters, Sara Bennett and Tara Bennett; and a cat, Cookie. Anthony also had seven brothers and sisters, Kim Barber, Lisa Barber, Denise Barber, Sheila Barber, Dennis Barber, Jack Barber and Christopher Barber; 21 nieces and nephews and five great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., today, Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005, at Regan & Denny Funeral Home, 53 Quaker Road, Queensbury, with the Rev. Flossie Gage Bates officiating. Burial will follow at Pine View Cemetery, Queensbury. Family and friends are invited and may call from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the funeral home prior to the funeral services. Bourgault, Nina (Harrington) HUDSON FALLS -- Nina (Harrington) Bourgault, 72, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, went into the arms of the Lord, surrounded by her loving family and friends, at the Glens Falls Hospital on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005. Born on March 30, 1932, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Marion (Griffin) Harrington. Nina graduated from Hudson Falls High School. After graduation, she was employed by the Glens Falls Telephone Company and later at the Glens Falls Insurance Company. On March 24, 1951, she married David J. Bourgault at the Hudson Falls First Baptist Church. While raising her children with her husband, Nina worked at the Hudson Falls Free Library. Nina was a very active member of the Hudson Falls First Baptist Church, where she served in all offices. Her strong commitment and dedication to her church and the Lord has been reflected in the many lives she has touched. Her two grandchildren, Luc and Daniel, were the light of her life. Nina enjoyed tending to her beautiful flower gardens, quilting, crafting and making spaghetti sauce with her grandsons and family. She was an excellent seamstress and cook. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Daniel Harrington and Charles Fitch Harrington and her sister, Ruth Fletcher. Survivors include her loving husband of 54 years, David J. Bourgault of Hudson Falls; three daughters, Linda Bourgault of Walpole, N.H., and her companion, Dr. James White III, Sandy Cleveland of Ballston Spa and Donna Bourgault and her husband, Al Nielsen, of Queensbury; two grandsons, Luc Bourgault and Daniel Nielsen, both of Queensbury; one sister, Laura Howard of Glens Falls; and several nieces and nephews. Bristol, Kenneth G. ARGYLE -- Kenneth G. Bristol, 79, of Pleasant Valley Road, passed away unexpectedly Monday, Jan. 31, 2005, at the Glens Falls Hospital. Born on Sept. 8, 1925, in Argyle, he was the son of the late Everett and Lizzie (Barker) Bristol. Kenneth was a 1942 graduate of Argyle High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1946 to 1947 in the Alaska Communication Division, and was stationed in Seattle, Wash. From 1947 until his retirement in 1987, Ken was employed by the National Bank of Argyle, which is presently known as HSBC, retiring as the assistant vice president. He was a member of the Herschel Argyle Lodge No. 508 Free and Accepted Masons since 1957 and served as Master and as District Deputy Grand Master of Washington Masonic District in 1988. He was presently the treasurer. Ken was a member of the Argyle Volunteer Fire Co. since 1945 and served as chief from 1962 to 1987. He was the Washington County Deputy Fire Coordinator from 1983 to present. He served on Committee with the Washington County Extension Service, was a member of the Board of Directors of the Prospect Hill Cemetery Association and a member of the Argyle American Legion post 1518. He enjoyed spending time with his family and with his friends for coffee. In addition to his parents, Ken was also predeceased by his first wife, Betty (Fisher) Bristol who died in 1989; his three brothers, Donald, Leslie, and Ralph; and three sisters, Ruth Stott, Doris Sweet, and Kathryn Bristol; and his son-in-law, George C. Davis, also all predeceased him. Survivors include his wife, Anna (Hughes) Conkey Bristol of Argyle; his children, George Bristol and his wife, Patti, Greg Bristol and his wife, Janet, and Glenn Bristol and his wife, Terri, all of Argyle, Betsy Bristol of Argyle, Patricia Davis of Argyle, Darlene Tripp and her husband, Michael, of Fort Edward, and Tom Conkey and his wife, Shirley, of Vista, Calif.; his sister, Marion Johnson of Cossayuna; 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Gates, 83, of McGillis Avenue, died Monday, Jan. 31, 2005, at Glens Falls Hospital following a brief illness. Born Oct. 16, 1921, at home (Top of the World), Lake George, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Gracie (Weaver) Burch. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Silas Gates, in 1992 and her granddaughter, Vicki Mitchell, in 1965. Survivors include two daughters, Eva Backus and her husband, Les, of South Glens Falls, and Fay Samuel and her husband, Eddie, of Fort Pierce, Fla.; one son, Robert Gates and his wife, Kelly, of Chalmette, La.; one sister, Mary Hammond of Lake Worth, Fla.; one sister-in-law, Marilyn Gates of Queensbury; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Lyons, 71, of Hudson Drive, went home to the arms of the Lord on Monday, Jan. 31, 2005, at the Glens Falls Hospital after a long illness. Born in Westfield, N.J., on May 15, 1933, she was the daughter of Reginald and Marjorie (Conner) Turner. Elizabeth graduated from Cranford High School in Cranford, N.J. in 1951. Elizabeth married John F. Lyons on Sept. 19, 1953, at St. Michael's Church in Cranford, N.J. She was a member of the South Glens Falls United Methodist Church. Elizabeth was a homemaker and mother. She enjoyed watching and feeding the birds and squirrels. Elizabeth was especially fond of spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends, knitting, gardening and playing with her dog "Babe" and her parakeet Charlie. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Mary May. Survivors besides her husband of 51 years are her two sons, Stephen Lyons and his wife, Marlana, and Gregory Lyons; and her two grandsons, Derek and Patrick, all of South Glens Falls; her brothers and sisters: John Turner and his wife, June, of Edison, N.J., Ernest Turner and his wife, Mary, of Milo, Mo.; Barbara Scillitoe of Belvidere, N.J.; Edith Balland and her husband, Robert, of Georgetown, Del.; Robert Turner and his wife, Lee of Marcus Island, Fla; David Turner and his wife, Jill, of Cape Coral, Fla.; Margaret Langwasser of Middlesex, N.J.; George Turner and his wife, Marge, of Edison, N.J.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Martin, 84, of 608 county Route 12, died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005, at the Glens Falls Hospital. Born in Granville, March 5, 1920, she was the daughter of Nathan and Della Crouch. Mrs. Martin had been a cook at the Emma Laing Stevens Hospital in Granville as well as a past employee of Bloom's Department Store in Granville. Her main interest was feeding and watching birds. She was predeceased by two brothers, Clifford and Charles Crouch and a sister, Bessie Parks. Survivors include her husband, Fred H. Martin Sr.; a son, Fred H. Martin Jr. and his wife, Jean, of Fort Ann; two sisters, Emma Ayres of North Granville and Rachael Taylor of Granville; six grandchildren, Fred L. Martin, Vicky Tifft, Shelly Barker, Tammy Tavenier, Donald and Cory Martin, six great-grandchildren, Pamela Martin, Jonathan Martin, Nicholas Martin, Tori Barker, Thomas Barker and Anthony Tifft. The funeral will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be at the Truthville Cemetery. "Betty" Millham, age 63, of Main Street, died unexpectedly, Monday morning, Jan. 31, 2005, at her home. Born on Sept. 28, 1941, she was the daughter of Charles and Elizabeth (Martin) Muller. She was a graduate of Freeport High School on Long Island and attended New Paltz College. Betty married George H. Millham on May 7, 1966, at the New Paltz Methodist Church. She had served on the New Paltz Rescue Squad for several years and had also served as the New Paltz Police Commissioner. Betty was employed at SUNY New Paltz and New Paltz High School for many years before her retirement in 1994. In 1995, after many years of vacationing in the Lake George and Lake Luzerne area, Betty and George purchased their home on Main Street in Lake Luzerne. Following an extensive remodeling project, Betty lovingly decorated it with the many antiques she had collected. She enjoyed painting, antiques and going to yard sales. Betty was predeceased by her parents and one brother, Charles Muller. Survivors include her husband of 38 years, George H. Millham; two daughters, Deborah Panek of New Paltz, Nancy Galvin and her husband, Daniel of Medford, Mass.; three sons, Joseph Millham and his wife, Carol, of Pine Bush, Thomas Millham of Milton, Patrick Millham and his wife, Heidi, of Huntington, Md.; one brother, Allan Muller and his wife, Ellen, of Wading River; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; several nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Brewer Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Church St., Lake Luzerne, with the Rev. Myron Ducharme, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Lake Luzerne and the Very Rev. William Love, rector of St. Mary's Episcopal Church, co-officiating. Quackenbush, 55, of Union Street, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2005, at her home. Born on Sept. 9, 1949, in Troy, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Robert and Ada Quackenbush. Linda was one of nine siblings. Linda resided at the Rome State School in Rome, N.Y., until she was 15. Then she moved to the Wilton Developmental Center. In the early 1970s, she resided at the Ridge Street Group Home in Glens Falls and after that she moved to Hudson Falls, where she lived independently for many years. Linda was employed at ARoxy Cleaners for 12 years and at East Side Center for the past three years. Linda was determined to learn how to read and worked diligently for years with her tutors, Mr. Neil and Mary Ann Northrup. At the time of her death, Linda had learned to recognize several site words, of which she was very proud. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Jimmy Quackenbush and her very good friend for 19 years, Henry Tifft. Survivors include her brothers, Willard, Robert and Bernard Quackenbush; and her four sisters, Lois, Shirley, Sharon and Cathy Quackenbush. Linda also had many special friends for several years, which include, Robin, Maureen and Kristen Temple, all of Fort Ann and Betty Benson of Glens Falls. Linda also considered many of her service providers as family, especially Pat Hurley, Donna Gilman and Diane Graham. She also is survived by many friends at East Side Center, where she actively participated in all the events. Linda leaves behind her three cats, which were the love of her life, Splinter, Sassy and Frogger. (Rock) Trudeau, 88, of Ticonderoga, passed away Monday, Jan. 31, 2005, at the Moses-Ludington Hospital of Ticonderoga. Born in Peru, N.Y., Aug. 25, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary (LaPann) Rock. Mrs. Trudeau was a resident of Ticonderoga for most of her life. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Ticonderoga and a life member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Court of St. Mary's No. 794 of Ticonderoga. She and her husband, Louis Trudeau, owned and operated the Gibson House & Motel for many years. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her husband, Louis, died before her on April 12, 1978. She was also predeceased by three sons, Richard Trudeau, Donald Trudeau and Howard Trudeau, and one daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Nancy) Streeter. Survivors include two sons, Robert H. Trudeau of San Francisco, Calif., and Norman J. Trudeau of Ticonderoga and Florida; one daughter, Mrs. James (Jean) McKee of Ticonderoga; and one sister, Margaret Falcone of Peru. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Watkins, Cristina Malta -- Cristina Watkins, 29, of Rowley Road, Malta, died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2005, suddenly, while driving on Route 9 in Malta. Ms. Watkins was a graduate of Niskayuna High School and SUNY Plattsburgh. She was a reading specialist and a second-grade teacher at Harrison Elementary School in South Glens Falls. She was a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. Ms. Watkins is survived by her mother, JulieAnn Watkins, of Glenville; her father, Ron Watkins, of Niskayuna; two sisters, Monica Herold of Scotia and Amber Watkins of Schenectady; nephew, Jerad Watkins; niece, Isabella Herold born on Jan. 31, and extended family in California and Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, at 11 a.m., at Griswold Funeral Home, 1867 State St., Schenectady. Friends are also invited to call at the funeral home, Friday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in Park View Cemetery.
