Kathryn was born Oct. 16, 1917, in Valley Falls, the daughter of the late Harry and Paraska Molesky. She was the wife, of 51 years, to the late Harry Bartolucci. Kathryn is the mother of eight children. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, JoAnn Bartolucci, and three brothers: Victor, Frank, and Peter Molesky. Katheryn is survived by sons, Donald Bartolucci of Schuylerville and Jerry Bartolucci of Venice, Fla.; daughters: Ellen Vohnoutka of Schaghticoke; Nancy Brock of Rogersville, Tenn.; Patricia Morford of Apollo Beach, Fla.; June Marie Cushman of Tallahassee, Fla.; and Judy Mosso of Pascagoula, Miss.; a brother: Paul Molesky of Schaghticoke; two sisters, Helen Wasielewski of Schaghticoke and Martha Mallioux of Valley Falls. Kathryn is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren; A Mass of Christian Death and Burial will be celebrated at noon Saturday, Feb. 26, at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Schaghticoke, with the Rev. DiLorenzo, 42, of Hunter Lane, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005, in Glens Falls. Born on Nov. 7, 1962, in Rutland, Vt., she was the daughter of Marcel and Lorraine (Gordon) Allaire. Laurie was a graduate of Whitehall Central School, Class of 1981 and Adirondack Community College. She was an employee at the Glens Falls Hospital as a lab technician in the GI lab for over 20 years. Laurie was a devoted mother, daughter and sister. She enjoyed camping, spending time with her family, her many friends and her pets, Sammy and Hersey. Besides her parents of Whitehall, she is survived by one son, Christopher R. DiLorenzo and his girlfriend, Lucia Ruiz, of Glens Falls; one daughter, Christin DiLorenzo of Queensbury; one sister, Gail Duncan and her husband, Robert, of Whitehall; Laurie's special friend, Peter Keenan and his daughter, Olivia; a nephew, James M. LaGoy; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. A Rite of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 25, at Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church in Whitehall, with Father David LeFort, pastor, officiating. Published in the Post-Star on 2/23/2005. Guerin Sr., Leo J. CAMBRIDGE -- Leo J. Guerin Sr., 92, of Rouse Road, died Monday, Feb. 21, 2005, at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center. He was the widower of Agnes H. Dernoga Guerin, who died Aug. 2, 1996. Born Monday, Aug. 12, 1912, in Cohoes, he was the son of Rock and Anesi Fife Guerin. Leo served his country in the United States Army from 1942 to 1946. He was awarded the ATO Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. He and Agnes were married on Nov.r 10, 1949. Leo worked as a carpenter in the tri-city area. In 1950, they bought a dairy farm in West Hoosick. He eventually gave up carpenter and became a full time dairy farmer. He farmed until the early 80s and continued to live in West Hoosick until 2002. He then moved to Cambridge and lived at Big Valley Farm on Rouse Road with his daughter and her family. He moved to the Vermont Veteran's Home last July. Leo was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Cambridge. Reading was a passion of his. Survivors include three daughters and their spouses: Anise and Thomas Burke of Stillwater, Michelle and Ed Rouse of Cambridge, and Nina and Edward Leffler of Grafton; a son, Leo and Deborah Guerin Jr. of Hoosick Falls, a sister, Margarete Guerin of Troy; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Ingoldsby, Brooke Ashlee ST. PETERSBURG , Fla. -- Brooke Ashlee Ingoldsby, 8, of St. Petersburg, Fla., went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Feb. 11, 2005. She died from internal injuries after being struck by a car. She was born April 27, 1996, in Glens Falls. She had lived in Saratoga Springs, and then Fort Edward until January 2004, when her family relocated to St. Petersburg, Fla. Brooke was predeceased by her father, Shawn Ingoldsby Sr., and her maternal grandfather, Douglas Senn. Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Michelle and Christopher Allen; a brother, Shawn Ingoldsby Jr.; and a sister, Janessa Allen, all of St.Petersburg, Fla. She is also survived by her paternal grandparents, Peter and Kandance Morris of Stillwater, and Timothy Ingoldsby Sr., of Guilderland Center; her maternal grandmother, Susan Senn of Saratoga Springs; and her steppaternal grandparents, Steven and Nacy Allen, of Fort Edward; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins in the Capital District area. GANSEVOORT -- Scott N. Lortie, 37, of Fortsville Road, Gansevoort, died unexpectedly Monday, Feb. 21, 2005, at his home. Born on April 21, 1967, in Spokane, Wash., he was the son of the late Norman Lortie, and Roberta (Morse) Lortie -Durphey. Scott loved animals, and enjoyed fishing in Maine and hunting. He was the owner and operator of the Outback Sports Shop in Gansevoort. He was also a self employed carpet installer. Survivors include his son, Scott Hunter Lortie of Gansevoort; his mother, Roberta Lortie-Durphey and her husband, Frank, of South Glens Falls; his sister, Bethney Denno and her husband, Jason, of Gansevoort; Scott's longtime companion of over 20 years, Anastasia White of Gansevoort; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and many long time friends in the area. Markey, 65, of Rockside Drive, died Monday, Feb. 21st, 2005, at Glens Falls Hospital after a long, difficult struggle with cancer. A lifelong resident of Cambridge, she was born Monday, March 20, 1939, the daughter of Frank and Mary Reilly Mullen. She worked for various companies in the area. Most recently, Mary worked as a seamstress at R. John Wright Dolls in Varak Park. Mary loved collecting antiques and frequenting tag sales and auctions. Animals and music were important parts of her life. She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church. Mary was predeceased by five brothers: Thomas, Hugh, Robert, Edmund, and Francis Mullen. Survivors include a devoted daughter, Kimberly Ann Markey of Cambridge; a sister, Alice R. Jeskie of Cambridge; a brother, James Mullen and his wife, Marion, of Greenwich; two sisters-in law, Hazel Mullen and Carolyn Mullen; and several nieces, nephews and numerous friends. Feb. 21, 2005, at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam after a long illness. Thomas was born on Feb. 24, 1932 in Amsterdam. He was the son to Martin and Mabel (Davison) Pemrick. Mr. Pemrick served in the U.S. Coast Guard from Sept. 12, 1949, to Dec. 17, 1952. He graduated from SUNY at Oneonta in 1959. He worked as a school teacher for the Boulevard Elementary School in Gloversville. Mr. Pemrick was a life member of VFW in Hadley Post No. 5836, Johnstown Moose, life member of the Concordia Club and the American Legion Post No. 0337 in Broadalbin. He was married to Elizabeth Swears on April 17, 1954, in Johnstown. Mr. Pemrick was the beloved husband of Elizabeth Swears Pemrick of Root; father of Kriste Barnette and her husband, Jim, of Mesa, Ariz., Thomas Joseph Pemrick III and his wife, Terry, of Rose Hill, Kan. and Kyle Pemrick and his wife, Ellen, of Colonie. He is also survived by two sisters, Ann Crippen of Johnstown and Margaret Emanule of Gloversville; and six grandchildren. Silliman, Emily WHITEHALL -- Emily Silliman, 102, formerly of Adams Street, passed away Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005, at Indian River Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Granville, following a long illness. She would have celebrated her 103 birthday on Feb. 24. Born on Feb. 24, 1902, in South Kortright, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late James and Sarah (Proper) Silliman. Emily graduated from Oneonta Normal and taught in the Hobart area before coming to Whitehall in 1930, where she taught for 34 years at the Adams Street School, retiring in 1964 to give her full time to an ill friend. She was a member of the Whitehall United Methodist Church and held many offices. She was also the chairperson of the Pastor Parish for many years. Emily was a life member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and held offices in the Rebekah's, including district deputy president. She turned in her drivers license at the age of 90, as had several other members of her family before her. Emily is survived by a niece, Florence Breitbeck of Greenfield Center and Lafayette, Tenn.; and one great-niece, Sandra Hollenbeck. A memorial service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 27, at the Whitehall United Methodist Church, with the Rev. C. Don Wheeler, pastor, officiating, and assisted by the Rev. Roberta Proper, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Whitehall. Interment will be in the spring at Bloomville Cemetery in Bloomville, N.Y. There will be no calling hours. Thomas, Alice Irene (Brooks) COMSTOCK -- Alice Irene (Brooks) Thomas, of Comstock, passed away Monday, Feb. 21, 2005, at Glens Falls Hospital. Alice was born on July 17, 1925, in Whitehall, the daughter of the late John and Alice (Hale) Brooks. Alice married Kenneth L. Thomas on July 31, 1943, at the Episcopal parsonage in Whitehall. They were married for 61 1/2 wonderful years. Her lifework was taking care of her family and working side by side with Ken on the family dairy farm. Alice was a member of the North Granville Grange, the North Granville Methodist Church and a former Town of Fort Ann Election Board member. She was talented at crocheting, and as a seamstress. She will always be remembered for her many Sunday pies. Alice was predeceased by three children: Richard E. Thomas (Sept. 10, 1951), Elaine Thomas (July 27, 1951), and Betsy A. Thomas Darius (Dec. 9, 1978); two sisters, Sarah M. Green and Jane Brooks; and one brother, John A. Brooks. In addition to her husband, Kenneth Thomas Sr., Alice is survived by four sons: K. Lee Thomas Jr. and his wife, Marilyn, of Middle Granville, Leslie E. Thomas of Hampton, George E. Thomas and his partner, Laurie Morehouse, of Comstock, and Joseph E. Thomas and his wife, Jennifer, of Truthville; three daughters: Jean M. Guyette and her husband, Richard, of Queensbury, Susan A. Shovah and her husband, Edward, of Fort Ann, and Nancy E. Lunt and her husband, William, of Fort Ann; a special son-in-law, John Darius and his wife, Sandy, of Granville; a brother, Marvin Brooks and his wife, Lorraine, of Whitehall; and two sisters-in-law, Rosalie Brooks of Whitehall and Pearl Thomas of Vermont. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren: Kenny, David and Sheri Thomas, Beth Goodspeed, Tammy DeLorme, Rich and Jim Guyette, Aaron, Brian and Lisa Darius, Adam and Laura Stoddard, Devin Shovah, Jennifer McDermott, Owen Lunt, Carrie Wright, Heather and Joshua Thomas, Bridget, Gavin and Tyler Kelley; 23 great-grandchildren, and t wo more on the way; and many nieces and nephews. Young, 72, of Wells, Vt., passed away on Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005, at Rutland Regional Medical Center in Rutland, Vt., following a short illness. Born on Jan. 29, 1933, in Whitehall, he was the son of Ruth Jackson and the late Vernon Young. Jack was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, serving from 1952-1956. He retired as a truck driver for J. J. Lingerie in Glens Falls. Jack enjoyed playing golf. Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Felicia Dunbar Young of Wells; one son, Carl J.
