PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Nell Irene Prouty Collamer, 94, of St. Petersburg, Fla., died Saturday, May 7, 2005, at Bayside Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. Nell was born on June 19, 1910, in West Glens Falls. She was the daughter of Charles Alva and Eliza Palmer Prouty. She graduated from Glens Falls High School in the Class of 1929. She was employed by the Glens Falls Insurance Company through the 1930s, until her marriage to Leslie C. Collamer of Glens Falls in 1937. Nell was very active in the Republican Party in the city of Glens Falls and Warren County during the late 1940s and early 1950s, serving as both the Glens Falls City vice chairperson and Warren County vice-chairperson. She was subsequently employed by the city of Glens Falls Building Department and later in the city Water Department. After retirement, she and Leslie played golf, traveled and generally enjoyed themselves. Nell was an avid reader, enjoyed history, crossword puzzles and sewing. Nell was predeceased by her son, David Collamer; her husband Leslie C. Collamer; her brothers, Alva Prouty and Donald Prouty of Sunderland, Vt.; and her sister, Ruth P. Drake of Whitesboro, N.Y. She is survived by her sons and their wives, Alva R. and Mary Lou Collamer of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Dean R. and Jeanette Collamer of East Nassau, N.Y.; her sister, Dorothy Prouty O'Beirne Hart of Fort Edward. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Joshua J. and his wife, Dr. Angelique Collamer of Kettering, Ohio, Marion M. Collamer of Arcata, Calif., and Sarah A. Collamer, of Lake Tahoe, Calif., as well as several O'Beirne and Drake nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at the First Presbyterian Church. DiNucci passed away on Monday, July 4, 2005, at the Indian River Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Granville. Amelia was born on Jan. 13, 1910, in Granville, the daughter of Gaeatono and Rachal (Farzone) Visconti. Amelia had worked for many years as a seamstress at Nora Lee in Granville. She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary No. 1653 and Catholic Daughters. Amelia was a communicant of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Bennie DiNucci, and two brothers, Anthony and Arthur. Survivors are her nephew Arthur Visconti of Las Vegas and six great-nephews: Joseph Mitchell Visconti of Las Vegas, James Michael Visconti of Ghent, N.Y., James Catone of Berlin, Vt., David Catone of Hopkinton, Mass., Louis Catone of Valley Falls, N.Y., and Paul Catone of Malta, N.Y., and four great-nieces: Jessica Marie Visconti of Las Vegas, Joanne Wood of New Bern, N.C., Rose Mary Nutting of Ballston Spa, N.Y., and Catherine Jane Callahan of Sarasota, Fla. Also several great-great-nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 8, 2005, at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 23 Bulkley Ave., Granville, with the Rev. Faller, Dr. Henry J. BOLTON LANDING -- Dr. Henry J. Faller, 74, of Lake Shore Drive, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2005, at his home. Born Sept. 5, 1930, in Philadelphia, Pa., he was the son of the late Joseph and Emma (Friedrich) Faller. He was a U.S. Korean War Army veteran. He earned the rank of sergeant and was awarded a 1st medal sharpshooter. Dr. Faller practiced dentistry in Williamstown, N.J., for 35 years, retiring in 1992. He was a member and past president of the American Dental Fraternity, a member of the New Jersey Dental Association, A.D.A. Dental Society, past president of the Williamstown Rotary, a member of the Knights of Columbus 4th degree, Adirondack 46ers, and the New Jersey Skeeter Ski Club. Dr. Faller was an avid hiker - in the Adirondack 46ers; skier - downhill and cross country; snowshoer; runner; fisherman - salmon and lake trout and ice fishing; wood craftsman; artist; USA and European traveler; and amateur cook. He was a sincere and loving husband, father and opa. Dr. Faller was most proud of his children: Greg, Karen and Heidi, and grandsons, Henrik, Max and Benjamin. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Sophia Faller. Survivors include his wife, Dawn Faller of Bolton Landing; one son, Greg Faller and his wife, Rita, and their son, Henrik, all of Towson, Md.; two daughters, Karen Emerle and her husband, Len, and their son, Maximilian, all of Williamstown, N.J., and Heidi Joe Meister and her husband, Michael, and their son Benjamin, all of Bensheim, Germany; seven cousins: Kathryn Streater of Williamstown, N.J., Anna Mae Holland of Maine, Eva Frekot of Williamstown, N.J., Edward Friedrich of Blackwood, N.J., Louise Blount of Stratford, N.J., Herb Guenter of Warminster, Pa., and Dr. Norbert Fritsch of Germany. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today, July 6, at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, Goodman Avenue, Bolton Landing. A Rite of Committal will follow at Bolton Rural Cemetery. Gallup, Martin George "Marty" FRANKLIN, N.C. and HUDSON FALLS -- Martin George "Marty" Gallup, 73, of Franklin, N.C., passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2005, at his home. Son of the late Loren and Marguerite (Martin) Gallup, Marty was born and raised in the village of Hudson Falls. He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served in Germany, playing trombone for the Army Band. Upon his return to the United States, Marty was an engineer and manager in the paper making industry. Eventually he started his own business, Dometrics, locating parts worldwide for the paper industry. Marty's interests varied greatly. He loved Big Band Jazz; antique clocks; tractors and engines; ballroom dancing; and spending summers at his Glen Lake camp. As a member of the Hudson Falls United Methodist Church, Marty sang in the choir and enjoyed fellowship with his church family. Marty is survived by three daughters, Claire Suminski and her husband, Joe of Franklin, N.C.; Amy Kuster and her husband, Val. of Kingsbury; and Jane Futch and her husband, Lyle. of Elon, N.C.; one son, Martin Andrew Gallup and his wife, Guylaine. of Clifton Park; two sisters also survive, Kay Kuebler of Corinth and Marilyn Matriccino of Lake George. Marty was a devoted grandfather to his eleven grandchildren. Marty's family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday evening at Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main St., in Hudson Falls. A Celebration of Life will be held at the United Methodist Church, 227 Main St., Hudson Falls on Saturday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. David Lefurgey, pastor, officiating. Lanfair, 57, of East Schroon River Road, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2005, at Glens Falls Hospital following a long illness, surrounded by her loving family. Born July 23, 1947, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Forrest and Virginia (Pratt) Lanfair. Donna was a lifelong resident of the area and attended the Warrensburg High School. She began her working years spending nine years with the Glens Falls Hospital pharmacy department. She went on to become a home health aide in the Warrensburg and Bolton area and also worked at the Warren County Residential Hall, the Warrensburg Health Center and as a receptionist at The Sagamore resort on Lake George. Donna enjoyed working in the health care field. She loved painting, especially wildlife scenes on handsaws, crafts, her animals, but most of all she adored her daughters and grandchildren. Besides her parents, the love of her life, Barry E. Aldrich, passed away in 1991. Survivors include her three daughters, Stephanie Ackley of Warrensburg, Melanie Groff and her husband, Joseph, of Thurman, Joni Ellifritz and her husband, Timmy, of North Creek; her brother, Melvin Lanfair of Lake George; 10 grandchildren, Joshua, Cody, Jesse, Colson, Shelby, Calli, Nathan, Tate, Tessonna and Tavia; two aunts, Ina Beeler and her husband, Frank, of Stony Creek, Lois Smith of Oklahoma; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Putnam, Rose "Pat" Warrensburg -- Rose "Pat" Putnam, 87, of Hudson Street, passed away Monday, July 4, 2005, at her home with her son and granddaughter by her side. Born Nov. 22, 1917, in Central Falls, R.I., she was the daughter of the late Antonia and Mary (Loski) Potocki. Pat, as she was known by her family and friends, spent most of her early working years in the Schenectady area, working for General Electric during the war. She went on to become a hair stylist and worked for the Wallace Company for several years. In 1984, Pat moved to Florida and worked in Orlando as a hair stylist. She returned to the North Country upon her retirement. She loved classical music and took many art courses throughout her life. She was a lover of nature, books and animals. Pat had an adventurous sprit and loved to travel. She also enjoyed family gatherings and loved a good party. Her siblings, Kitty Lockard, Jean Jaffee, John Potocki and Joan Anderson have all predeceased her. Survivors include her son, Richard J. Putnam and his wife, Donna, of Diamond Point; her granddaughter, Kelly Putnam-Czuba and her husband, Michael, and her beloved great-grandson, Jackson Czuba, all of Warrensburg, her grandson, James R. Sullivan, 61, of 414 Glen St., died early Monday morning July 4, 2005, at his home surrounded by his loving family after an extended illness. John was born Feb. 29, 1944, in Corinth, N.Y., the son of the late Norman T. and Marjory Wendell Sullivan. John was a graduate of Johnsburg Central School; he became a computer programmer and analyst and was involved in several computer-related inventions. He was employed by many firms all over the country, including IBM, GE, Pitney Bowes and for a period of time with the U.S. Department of Defense. John was an exceptionally talented musician who played multiple instruments, but loved the piano and saxophone. He frequently volunteered his musical talents for many local church and civic functions. John enjoyed bowling and was very good at it. John was a communicant of St. Joseph's Catholic Church where he served as a cantor and played the piano and sang in the choir. John is survived by his daughter, Kimberley Klinker of Richmond, Va.; two sons, John M. Sullivan of Weisbaden, Germany, and Timothy J. Sullivan of Las Vegas, Nev.; his brothers, Norman J. Sullivan of Waldorf, Md., and Brian Sullivan of Minerva; his grandchildren, Tyler, Skye and Bryce Sullivan, Anna and Katy Klinker, and Timothy, Christina and Christopher Sullivan; his dear friend, Ron Lugrezia, and his constant companion, his dog, Charlie. He is also survived by his uncle, Thomas J. Sullivan of Lady Lake, Fla.; his aunts, Jean Hall of Schroon Lake, and Betty Gregory of Vero Beach, Fla.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Friday, July 8, 2005, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Olmstedville, by the Rev. Richard Sturtz, pastor, officiating. South Glens Falls -- Edward J. Wood, 52, passed away surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, July 5, 2005, at his home. Born on Sept. 8, 1952, in Glens Falls, he was the son of Joseph T. and Lorraine M. (Ormsby) Wood. Ed served with the U. S. Air Force. He enjoyed hockey, softball, golf, bicycling and off-roading as well as rebuilding automobiles and classic Jeeps. One of the things that made Ed feel good and smile was to have his children and grandchildren around him. He enjoyed playing and interacting with them all and loved having them around him. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his mother and father-in-law, Dorothy A. and John B. Carpenter, his two brothers-in-law, John (Jack) C. Carpenter and Lanny St. John. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Kathy Wood of South Glens Falls; his children, Eddie Wood Jr. of Lake George and Carrie Wood and her fianc‚, Joe Phillips, of Glens Falls; grandchildren, Rylee (his silly goose) Dean of Glens Falls, Jayden Phillips of Glens Falls, and Drew Wood of Lake George; sisters, Linda Plummer and Joann St. John of Queensbury, Carol Cagle and her husband, Tom, of Brownwood, Texas, and Kim Sullivan and her husband, Chris, of Queensbury; brothers, Joseph Wood Jr. of Glens Falls and Tim Wood and his wife, Kim, of Queensbury; sisters-in-law, Laura Mease and Alice Dorvee; brother-in-law, David Carpenter and his wife, Renee; sister-in-law, Susan Camp and her husband, Bill; several aunts, an uncle and many nieces and nephews as well as grandnieces and nephews.
