Born on Oct. 10, 1908, in Gallupville, she was the daughter of the late James. L. Gage, who died in 1946, and Viola Snyder Gage, who died in 1970. She graduated from Oneonta Normal School. Elizabeth started her teaching career in several one-room school houses in Schoharie Valley. She taught in the Albany City Schools and finished her career as the elementary school teacher in the South Colonie School system, where she retired in 1973, as a fourth grade teacher. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Forrest M. Brownell, who died in 1977; a brother, James L. Gage in 1987, her sister, Ida Gage Lamp on May 7, 2005; and a cousin, Chester Zimmer in 2003. Survivors include one son, Forrest "Terry" M. Brownell Jr. of Hanawa Falls; a sister, Genevieve Gage of Hoosick Falls; nephews: Gordon Gage of Stillwater, James Gage of Mechanicville, and Robert Gage of Florida; nieces: Linda Gage Curtis of Hamlin, Jane Gage Smodell of Stillwater, Donna Gage of Stillwater, and Karen Gage Ellsworth of Schuylerville; several great nieces and nephews; and close friends, Noel and Caroline Ashton of Cambridge. Elizabeth donated her body to the Albany Medical Center. Burial will be at a later date at Old Stone Fort Cemetery in Schoharie. Corsall, Pauline Massaro FORT EDWARD -- Pauline Massaro Corsall, 99, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, June 9, 2005, at Eden Park Nursing Home, Glens Falls. Born in Fort Edward on July 19, 1905, she was the second child of the late Pasquall and Carmella Massaro of Naples, Italy. Pauline lived and worked in Fort Edward all her life while raising her children. She loved to dance and performed for many years in the minstrel shows in Fort Edward. Pauline loved crocheting, knitting and especially cooking. She made Italian cookies for numerous weddings and parties. She was a wonderful loving and kind person always willing to help anyone. She loved cooking and sharing with her neighbors and will be missed by many. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Anthony Corsall; a daughter, Carmel Corsall Parisi; a son-in-law, Dominick Parisi; a daughter-in-law, Betty Nassaviera Corsall; a son-in-law, James Clear; and a brother,Alphonse Massaro. Survivors include her three children: Genevieve Connie Barber and her husband, Raymond, of Lake George, Joseph A. Corsall and his wife, Elaine, of Fort Edward, and Katherine Clear of Lake George; 18 grandchildren; 25 great- grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. Published in the Post-Star on 6/11/2005. Mitchell, Shirley M. QUEENSBURY -- Shirley M. Mitchell, 75, of Vaughn Road, Queensbury, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2005, at home. She was the beloved wife of Roland Mitchell. Born on Aug. 21, 1929, Shirley was the daughter of the late Louis and Frances (Jenkins) Payne. She was born and raised on Jenkinsville Road, Queensbury, where she would later raise her own children. She attended the schoolhouse at Oneida Corners. Her ancestors include some of the earliest settlers in Queensbury as well as in the Raquette Lake area. Besides her parents, Shirley was predeceased by her first husband, Robert Beswick; her daughter, Linda Mitchell; her sister, Geraldine Banta; and her stepgrandson, Alfie Sutch. Shirley spent much of her time in the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. She and her husband, Robert, built a camp on Loon Lake, Chestertown, where she raised her children in the summers during the 1950s and 60s. After her marriage to Roland, they traveled extensively in their various campers and RVs. They spent many winters in the South, with friends in Florida and South Carolina. In the summers they motored throughout the Adirondacks and Northeast. One summer they traveled to Alaska and back. Children and grandchildren were often on board for their journeys. While she enjoyed her travels in the camper, there was no place like home for her. She was always eager to get back to her children and grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Roland, she leaves behind a large family who will miss her very much, including her children, Colleen Cook and her husband, David, of Queensbury, Kathleen Williams and her husband, Mark, of Loon Lake, Holly Vaughn and her husband, David, of Queensbury, and Roland Mitchell II and his wife, Kerry, of Queensbury. She also leaves stepchildren: Doug Mitchell and his wife, Lynn, of Fort Ann, Susan Sutch and her husband, Fred, of Galway, and Kathleen Mitchell of Tribes Hill. She is survived by grandchildren: Scott Mitchell, Stacy Balcom, Jeremy Williams, Ryan Vaughn, Travis Cook, Justin Vaughn, Amanda Mitchell, Abigail Mitchell, and Starlett Cook; and stepgrandchildren, Jenny, Andy, Kylee, Lance, and Rosie. She leaves 11 great-grandchildren as well. She is also survived by her brother, Sidney Payne and his wife, Marion, of Argyle; and her sister-in-law, Ethelyn Belanger of Connecticut. She leaves many nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Gary Banta of Queensbury, many cousins, and many dear friends. Her family meant everything to her, and she to them. Price, George Whiton "Whit" HINGHAM, Mass. -- George Whiton "Whit" Price, age 76, of Hingham, Mass., and Lighthouse Point, Fla., died on Thursday, June 9, 2005, at the Southwood Nursing Center in Norwell after a long illness. Mr. Price was born, raised and educated in Hingham, Mass. He graduated from Hingham High School in 1946. He then graduated from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in 1951, and was well known as the owner and pharmacist at the Hingham Centre Pharmacy. He was associated with the pharmacy from the age of 14 until his retirement in 1993. Mr. Price was a former trustee of the Hingham Centre Cemetery Association, a member of Old Colony Masonic Lodge and the Bare Cove Fire Museum, all in Hingham. For many years he also maintained a residence in Lighthouse Point, Florida. For 52 years he was the loving husband of Margery (Hunt) Price of Hingham, Mass.; he was the cherished father of Linda P. Heinzelman and her husband, Thomas, of Queensbury, Nancy W. Devine and her husband, Matthew, of Scituate, and Robert W. Price of Cocoa, Fla; he was the devoted grandfather of Erin Devine of Boston, Mass., Kerry Devine and Tracy Devine both of Scituate, Mark Heinzelman of Boston, Mass. and Kevin Heinzelman of Queensbury. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, June 13, at the Hingham Congregational Church, 38 Main St., (Route 228) Hingham. Friends may visit at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond St., Hingham on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory would be preferred to the charity of one's choice. Robichaud, Stanley Joseph "Tiny" QUEENSBURY -- Stanley Joseph "Tiny" Robichaud, 78, of West Mountain Road, passed away Wednesday evening June 8, 2005, at Glens Falls Hospital. Born March 23, 1927, at his family home on Ridge Road in Queensbury, he was the son of the late Eli and Rose (North) Robichaud Sr. "Tiny" met and later married Evelyn Hall on Aug. 24, 1952. He was employed with Finch Pruyn of Glens Falls as a laborer unloading the pulp trucks for many years. "Tiny" was a big lovable teddy bear that truly enjoyed taking day trips, and especially traveling to Maine with his wife, sister, Bev, and her husband, Louie. Besides his parents, three sisters, Frances Conway, Loretta Donohue, and Shirley Young, along with two brothers, Vernon and Eli "Sam" Robichaud Jr., all predeceased him. Survivors include his loving wife of almost 53 years, Evelyn Robichaud; one daughter, Cheryl Hull and her husband, Ricky, of Houston, Texas; two grandsons, Ricky and Joshua also of Houston, Texas; one sister, Beverly Gauthier of Glens Falls; one brother, Robert Robichaud and his wife, Pat, of Queensbury; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends, with special mention of Beverly Cleavland of Glens Falls. At Tiny's request, there will be no calling hours or funeral service. Friends are invited to join his family for a graveside committal service today, June 11, at 11 a.m. at West Glens Falls Cemetery, next to West Glens Falls Rescue Squad near Northway Exit 18 with the Rev. PLATTSBURGH -- Mary A. Wodjenski, 98, of Oak Street, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2005, at the home of her daughter in Queensbury. She was born in Plattsburgh on Dec. 24, 1906, the daughter of the late Daniel and Elizabeth (Quinn) Ryan. Mary was a lifelong member of St. John's Church in Plattsburgh, a member of St. John's Altar and Rosary Society, and the Catholic Daughters for 61 years. Mary was very active as an Eucharistic minister and lector. She is survived by two daughters, Joan Jarvis and her husband, John, of Plattsburgh, and Kathleen Miller of Queensbury; two sons, Joseph Wodjenski of Florida, and Thomas Wodjenski and his wife, Mildred, of Fairhope, Ala.; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Alex; three sisters and one brother. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, June 12, at Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh.
