He was born on Jan. 20, 1931, in Glens Falls, the daughter of Floyd and Elsie (Brewster) Campney. Mr. Campney served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and retired from the Glens Falls National Guard after 23 years. He was a member of the Mendon Community Methodist Church. Survivors include three sons, Arnold T. Campney of Wallingford, Vt., Michael F. Campney of South Glens Falls, and Daryl B. Campney of Burlington, Vt.; two daughters, Roxanne L. Altrui of Rutland, Vt., and Audrey D. Evens of Lewis, N.Y.; a sister, Wanda Wells of Buffalo, N.Y.; a brother Douglas Campney of Montana; his ex-wife, Frances Felkl of Rutland, Vt.; three stepdaughters, Dorothy Haviland of Hudson Falls, Joyce Robinson and her husband, David of Bennington, Vt., and Linda Giroux and her husband, Philip of Gansevoort; three stepsons, James Bailey and his wife, Shirley of Hartford, Frank Bailey of Kingsbury, and Dennis Bailey and his wife, Donna of Warrensburg; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Jenny Harrington, in 2003; a sister, Charlotte Hayward; and a brother, Lester Campney. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Tossing Funeral Home, Inc., 39 Washington St., Rutland, Vt. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Mendon Community Methodist Church. The Rev. Ray Lex, pastor, will officiate. Burial is pending at Gerald B. H. Eno, 73, a longtime resident of Corinth, died Thursday, June 9, 2005, at Glens Falls Hospital following a lengthy illness. Born on October 18, 1931, in Saratoga Springs, she was the daughter of the late Eldric and Thelma (O'Brien) Eno. Miss Eno graduated from Corinth High School and from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh with a bachelor's degree in pharmacy and received a master's degree in pharmacy from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind. She was employed as a pharmacist for more than 40 years at several locations, working in several area hospitals and retail locations, including Glens Falls Hospital and Russells Pharmacy and Warings Pharmacy, both in Corinth. Miss Eno attended the Church of the Immaculate Conception of Corinth. She was an avid reader and enjoyed fly fishing. Besides her parents, one infant brother died before her. Survivors include one brother, Thomas Eno, and his wife, Elfie, of Stillwater; two nieces; and three cousins, Kevin O'Brien and his wife, Sherry, of Goddard, Kansas, Bill St. Lawrence of Florida and Betty Lou Willett of California. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2005, at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 409 Palmer Ave., Corinth, with the Rev. Richard Severson, officiating. Locke, Amaryllis "Anne" SOUTH GLENS FALLS -- Amaryllis "Anne" Locke, 75, of 1672 state Route 9, South Glens Falls, died Friday, June 10, 2005, at Glens Falls Hospital. McCabe, Doris Rita (Young) South Glens Falls -- Doris Rita (Young) McCabe, 77, of Wilson Avenue, died Saturday, June 11, 2005, at Glens Falls Hospital after a long illness. Born on Sept. 24, 1927, in Hoosick Falls, she was the daughter of the late Walter Benjamin and Rita (Murphy) Young. Doris graduated from Hoosick Falls High School class of 1944. She then went on to receive her associate degree from Green Mountain College graduating in 1947. She worked for the South Glens Falls School District as a tax collector, secretary for H&R Block and retired in 1991 as a Court Clerk with the town of Moreau. Doris was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Glens Falls. She enjoyed traveling with the town of Moreau seniors and was a member of the town of Moreau Board of Elections. She was a member of the town of Moreau Recreation Commission, the Glens Falls Hospital Guild and was past president of the Harrison Avenue PTA. Doris, along with her husband, enjoyed league bowling for many years. She was an avid Red Wings season ticket holder and particularly enjoyed attending her children's and grandchildren's numerous activities. Doris married Eugene K. McCabe on May 6, 1950, in Hoosick Falls. He passed away Sept. 17, 1982. Besides her parents and husband, a brother-in-law, Loren E. McCabe, also predeceased her. Survivors include her children: a son, Raymond W. McCabe and his life partner, Robert Frame, of Sacramento, Calif.; a daughter, Doris J. Lemery and her husband, Charles E. Jr., of Queensbury and their children, Brian J. Lemery and his wife, Sandra, of Queensbury, and Janice K. Lemery; a daughter, Lucinda M. Trombley and her husband, Paul K., of South Glens Falls and their children, Elizabeth B. Trombley and her fianc‚, Travis Wildes, of Blackstone, Mass., and Benjamin E.C. Trombley and his girlfriend, Melissa Foos, of Queen Creek, Ariz.; a son, Richard E. McCabe and his wife, Nancy L., of South Glens Falls and their children, Scott E. McCabe and Kari L. McCabe; a son, Robert W. McCabe of Saratoga Springs and his children, Robert J. McCabe, stationed with the U.S. Air Force in Monterey, Calif. and Sara E. Born June 1, 1933, in West Fort Ann, she was the daughter of the late William and Leona (Chase) Lanfear. Alma married Thomas L. McDermott in Virginia on Sept. 2, 1953. They enjoyed 51 years of marriage. She was co-owner of McDermott's Harley-Davidson since 1957. Alma was devoted to her husband and supported his racing and business endeavors. She was a loving mother, grandmother and aunt. She loved her animals and leaves behind her dog, Sam. Alma was an avid Yankees and NASCAR fan. Besides her parents, her grandson, Richard Thomas McDermott, predeceased her. Survivors include her husband, Thomas of Fort Ann; her children, Mary Hoertkorn and her husband, Steven, of Queensbury, Martin McDermott and his wife, Janet, of Chipley, Fla., Paula Harrold and her husband, Thomas, of Lake Luzerne, Patrick McDermott and his friend, Alise Oakman, of Fort Ann, Toni McQuate and her husband, Ed, of Queensbury, Thomas McDermott and his wife, Amy, of Fort Ann, Paul McDermott and his wife, Julie, of Queensbury, and Kathleen Spieldenner and her husband, Alan, of Lake Luzerne; 20 grandchildren, David and Martin McDermott, Catherine, Kelly and Charles Hoertkorn, Rebecca and Brandi Robichaud, Tomas Harrold, Melissa and Kimberley McDermott, Mallory and Morgan McQuate, Casey, Kody, Hannah, Madison, Aaron and Kassidy McDermott, Rachel and Abigail Spieldenner; three sisters, Helen McDermott of South Glens Falls, Margaret Batease and her husband, Floyd, of Queensbury, and Patricia Shippee of Glens Falls; two brothers, Robert Lanfear of Lake George and Craig Lanfear and his wife, Valerie, of Warrensburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. "Betty" Rocklin, 85, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2005, at Glens Falls Hospital following a short illness. She was born Sept. 19, 1919, in Schenectady. Betty was a past graduate of Draper High School and Mildred Elly Business School. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Harold "Rocky" Rocklin of Queensbury; her daughter, Francetta Gantz, of Rhode Island; and her son, Dennis Rocklin, and his wife, Ginger, of North Carolina; she is also survived by her special granddaughter, Donna Sousa of Massachusetts; along with several grandchildren and great- grandchildren; and many friends from The Glen of Hiland Meadows. A memorial service will be held Monday, June 13, 2005, at 3 p.m. in the Conklin Room at The Glen at Hiland Meadows, 39 Longview Drive, Queensbury, with Father Michael Abraham officiating. Burial will follow at Pine View Cemetery, Quaker Road, Queensbury. At Betty's request, memorials in her honor are suggested to be made to the charity of one's choice, in lieu of flowers.
