Born Feb. 3, 1924, in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Harold L. and Marion (Douglas) Waite. Elsie was a resident of Putnam Station for many years. She was employed by the International Paper Co. of Ticonderoga for 19 years before her retirement. She was a homemaker who loved her home in Putnam Station. She enjoyed cooking, crafting, walking on the mountain, and her family. She was creative of mind, gentle of spirit, and loving at heart. Elsie will be surely missed. She was predeceased by one daughter, Marion Goad; one sister, Mary Killian; and one brother Harold L. Waite II. Survivors include her loving husband of 59 years, Anders K. Andersen; her twin sons and daughters-in-law, Martin B. and Robin (Hill) Andersen, and Michael A. and Carolyn (Malaney) Andersen, all of Ticonderoga; and her daughter and son-in-law, Dawn Jess Maye and her husband, John of Cadyville. Published in the Post-Star on 6/28/2005. Bartlett, John William HUDSON FALLS -- John William Bartlett, 73, of Helen Street, died Sunday, June 26, 2005, at his home, after a long illness. Born on Nov. 24, 1931, in Hague, he was the son of the late Clayton H. and Margaret (Penders) Bartlett. John was Valedictorian of the Class of 1948 at Hague High School and he had the highest score in Regents exams in the North Country. He was very proud of his Air Force military career and the fact that he and his brothers had, combined, more than 100 years of military service. John was employed at International Paper Co. in Ticonderoga, then Finch, Pruyn & Co. in Glens Falls and finally as a private contractor in Virginia. He was a communicant of St. Mary's/St. Paul's Church in Hudson Falls. John was a great fisherman and loved fishing and hunting with his brothers. He was an all-around nice guy. He enjoyed his home, referring it as the "Wee House." LeBarron, 67, of Beccaris Drive, died Sunday, June 26, 2005, at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, Dover,. N.H. Born Feb. 3, 1938, in Milton, N.Y., he was the son of the late Elwin W. and Mary C. (Jones) LeBarron. Franklin moved to Rollinsford, N.H., area 15 years ago. He was a construction worker employed by Ronald Brust of Middlegrove, N.Y. Since living in this area he was employed at Carl's Upholstery of Wells, Maine. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran. Franklin enjoyed hunting, fishing and the great outdoors. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church of Rollinsford, N.H. Family members include his companion of 15 years, Diane M. Ashburner of Rollinsford, N.H.; three sons: Franklin D. LeBarron Jr. and his wife, Kimberly, of Corinth, Thomas M. LeBarron of Hudson, Fla., and Gary R. LeBarron of Glens Falls; three daughters: Linda M. LeBarron-Hamn and her husband, Keith, of Panama City, Fla., Karen J. LeBarron of Tarpon Springs, Fla., and Charmaine D. LeBarron of Lebanon, Maine; a stepson, Anthony M. Liberty-Jones, Mary Jane FORT EDWARD -- Mary Jane Liberty-Jones, 70, of Fort Edward, passed away Monday, June 27, 2005, at Glens Falls Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born Aug. 10, 1934, in Glens Falls. Mary Jane was a graduate of St. Mary's Academy of Glens Falls in 1953. She is survived by her husband, Matthew, of 16 years; her six children: John Judson and his wife, Connie, of Alaska, Julie Durkee and her husband, Rick, of Hudson Falls, Jeffrey Judson and his wife, Diane, of Massachusetts, Jeanne Stoy of Glens Falls, William Judson Jr. and his companion, Kellie McNamara, of Glens Falls, and Matthew Judson of Glens Falls. She enjoyed her 11 grandchildren: Jasmine Pattison, David Cutler, Theresa Fish, Michael Durkee, Christopher Judson, Robert Judson, Natalie Judson, James Tenner Jr., Jeffery Tenner, Michelle Judson and Heather Judson; seven great-grandchildren; and other loving family members and friends. She was born in Whitehall, the daughter of the late Owen and Margaret Owens. Jane had resided in the Albany area for many years and was employed by Niagara Mohawk Power Co. in Albany for 45 years, retiring in 1982. Her husband, Richard McGarty, died before her. She was also predeceased by a brother, Robert Owen, and a sister, Catherine Bacher. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Mary McGarty of Burnt Hills; a nephew, John (Nancy) McGarty; great nieces, Alison, Jessica, Kelly and Lisa; and her best friend, Esther Ross. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today, June 29, at Frederick Funeral Home, 633 Central Ave., Albany. Monroe, Lester R. WEVERTOWN -- Lester R. Monroe, 86, of state Route 8, passed away peacefully Monday, June 27, 2005, at his home with his loving family at his side. Born Aug. 1, 1918, in Wevertown, he was the son of the late Harvey and Nora (Olden) Monroe. Lester was a lifelong resident of the area. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1944. He served as a gunner's mate aboard the USS McCaffery in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater of operations before his honorable discharge in 1946. He married Agnes Walker on Dec. 27, 1941, in Schenectady. He was a career pipe fitter for more than 30 years with Local 773 in Glens Falls, retiring in 1981. Lester was a longtime member of the North Creek American Legion Post 629, member of the former Glendale Lode Free & Accepted Maspms in Pottersville, and presently a member of the Warrensburgh Lodge 425 Free & Accepted Masons. He was also a charter member of the Wevertown Volunteer Fire Co. Besides spending time with his family, he also enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and helping his neighbors whenever there was a need. His beloved wife, Agnes, passed away on July 3, 2003, after 62 years of marriage. His eight siblings, Mabel, Gertrude, Ernest, Leonard, Elwin, Foster, Kenneth and Jordan, have all predeceased him. He leaves his daughter, Hilda M. Alexander and her husband, Jack, of North Creek; his grandson, Jack L. Alexander, MD and his wife, Brenda Lawrence, MD, both of Rochester; a brother-in-law, George Morehouse of Bolton Landing; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Ogle, Fannie "Frances" (Milack) QUEENSBURY -- Fannie "Frances" Margaret (Milack) Ogle died at Glens Falls Hospital on Saturday, June 25, 2005, following a short illness, surrounded by her loving family. She had been a resident of the Stanton Nursing and Rehab. Center for the past six months and prior to that resided at the Glen at Hiland Meadows for three years, and Zenas Drive in Queensbury since 1980. Born Aug. 6, 1918, in Jamaica , N.Y. she was the daughter of the late Joseph Milack and Mary (Cione) Milack. Her husband, Elbert C. Ogle predeceased her. She was also predeceased by her sister, Mary Kickerer, and five brothers: Peter, Michael, Joseph, Patrick and Richard. Survivors include her son, Donald Ogle and his wife, Julianne, of Queensbury; two granddaughters, Alicia Morell and her husband, David, of Randolph, N.J., and Jaurice Ann Ogle of Medford, Mass.; and a great-grandson, Carson David Morell. Survivors also include a sister, Nancy Sterling of Merrick, Long Island; two brothers, Vincent and his wife, Anne, of Merrick, Long Island, and Paul and his wife, Ruth, of Dix Hills, Long Island. Shearer, Janet Isabel Queensbury -- Janet Isabel Shearer, 54, of Queensbury, went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Friday, June 24, 2005, at Albany Medical Center, following a short illness. Born on May 16, 1951, in Glens Falls, Janet was the daughter of the late John F. and Josephine (Merrill/Grover) Flower of Queensbury. Janet grew up at Lake Sunnyside and graduated from Queensbury High School in 1969. She attended Adirondack Community College and received a dental technician license from Bryman Institute in Los Angeles, Calif. She worked as a dental assistant in the dental office of Dr. Brostoff in Los Angeles. Janet married Michael William Shearer on Aug. 19, 1972, at the Church Of Our Lady of the Annunciation, Queensbury. Besides her parents, Janet was predeceased by her grandparents, Alice (Lane) and Burton Merrill of Easton, N.Y., and Isabel (Murray) and Henry Flower of Johnsonville, N.Y., and a daughter, Erin Mary Shearer.
