Born Dec. 27, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Claire (Collins) Grogan. Patricia was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Glens Falls. She was a 1958 graduate of St. Mary's Academy and attended the College of Saint Rose. She was an active member of St. Mary's Alumnae. Patricia was homebound with a debilitating illness for many years. She was a great fan of the soaps, but her greatest enjoyment was her nieces, nephew and friends. Survivors include her brother, Michael J. Grogan of Glens Falls; five nieces and one nephew: Vanessa J. Sperry of Grifton, N.C., JoAnne M. Sperry of Boston, Spc. Michael P. Grogan, U.S. Army, of Fort Campbell Ky., Jamie L. Grogan of Cortland, Hanna L. Wolfe of Grifton, N.C., and Sarah M. Wolfe of Grifton, N.C.; and a longtime friend, Jerry Seeley. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Church, Glens Falls. The Rite of Committal will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, South Glens Falls. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today, March 13, at Singleton-Healy Funeral Home, 407 Bay Road, Queensbury. The family gratefully acknowledges the care and support from the Warren County Departments of Public Health and Social Services. Deo, Albert Gene North Granville -- Mr. Albert G. Deo, 62, died suddenly March 9, 2005, at his home in North Granville, N.Y. Albert was born Jan. 6, 1943, in Middlebury, Vt., the son of the late Walter and Leora (Malloy) Deo. He married Beverly (Wade) Deo on Sept. 9, 1967, in Poultney, Vt. Albert has been employed as a Slate Splitter for Tatko Brothers Slate Company in Wells, Vt., for the past 30 years. He was a former member of the Poultney Rescue Squad and an avid bowler on various leagues at Fairwood Lanes in Fair Haven. Along with bowling, he enjoyed watching his favorite sports teams, the Dallas Cowboys and Baltimore Orioles, and most of all spending time with his grandchildren. Albert is survived by his wife, of 37 years, Beverly Deo of North Granville; his daughter, Lisa Lynn Sumner and her husband, Jeff, of North Granville; his son, Joseph M. Deo and his wife, Linda, of Granville; his three sisters, Dorothy Brown of Benson, Vt., Florence Fontaine of Gantt, Ala., and Elaine Daigle of South Granville; his brother, David LaPoint of Gantt, Ala.; his three grandchildren, Nicholas Deo, Deziraeh Sumner, Gregory Rollins; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, David Edward Deo, who died June 10, 1970; and also by his four sisters, two brothers and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, March 14, 2005, at 11 a.m. at Durfee Funeral Home, 119 No. Main St., Fair Haven, Vt. The Rev. Robert Flower, pastor of the South Granville Congregational Church, will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Middletown Springs, Vt. Fitzpatrick, Kathryn "Ann" (Keays) HUDSON FALLS -- Kathryn "Ann" (Keays) Fitzpatrick, 63, of Briwood Circle in Queensbury, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2005, at Glens Falls Hospital after complications arising from a successful battle with cancer. Born on Aug. 28, 1941, in Hudson Falls, she was the daughter of the late John and Eunice (Cook) Keays. Ann was a 1959 graduate of Hudson Falls High School. She was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy, after serving from 1960 to 1961. On April 14, 1961, she married Dennis J. Fitzpatrick in Rhode Island. Ann was formerly a regional branch manager at Glens Falls National Bank and Trust. Her most recent employment was at the Hudson Falls Village Hall, where she was a clerk for 10 years. She was a communicant of St. Mary's/St. Paul's Church in Hudson Falls, as well as a member of the Hudson Falls American Legion Post 574, the Modern Woodsman of America, and the Business and Professional Women's Association of Hudson Falls and Fort Edward. Ann enjoyed bowling, bingo, trips to Foxwood, playing cards, dancing, watching her Redskins play football, reading and watching game shows. Her greatest enjoyment was her family. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who would open her heart or door for anyone. Ann and Dennis selflessly took in and cared for Esther Humiston, Chuck Vrooman, Wayne, Wade and Denise Marchese, Julie Girard and Mark Fitzpatrick. In addition to her parents, other family members who passed away before her include her two brothers, David and Patrick Keays. Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Dennis J. Fitzpatrick of Queensbury; her children: Kellie Fitzpatrick and her fianc‚, Thomas Cottone, of Gansevoort; Kortney Fitzpatrick of Hudson Falls, Jason Fitzpatrick and his wife, Lori, of Queensbury, and Justin "Bubba" Fitzpatrick and his wife, Jennifer, of Hudson Falls. Also surviving are her pride and joy, her grandchildren: Stefanie Fitzpatrick, Matthew and Shea Ball, Whitney Boothby, Devin and Emily Fitzpatrick, Grae Fitzpatrick-Peterson and Dustin Fitzpatrick; her brothers and sisters, John "Skip" Keays and his wife, Elaine, Elizabeth Davis, Rich Keays and his wife, Louise, all of Hudson Falls, Margaret Vaughn and her husband, Bernard, of Kingsbury, Noma Bump, Robert Keays and his wife, Marie, and Joseph Keays and his wife, Virginia, all of Hudson Falls; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. . Published in the Post-Star on 3/12/2005. Hayes, Lorenzo C. CHESTERTOWN -- Lorenzo C. Hayes, 93, died Friday, March 11, 2005, at Stanton Nursing Center in Queensbury. Born Nov. 13, 1911, in Brant Lake, he was the son of the late Jared and Pearl (Balch) Hayes. Mr. Hayes was a self-employed excavating contractor for 50 years. He was employed as a logging foreman in the Adirondacks for 12 years, before starting his own business. He lived in Chestertown for 60 years. He was a member of the Brant Lake Wesleyan Church and attended services at Faith Bible Church in Chestertown. Besides being a devoted husband and father, he will be remembered as an honest and hardworking man. He was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Helen Gregory Hayes, whom he married April 4, 1941, and passed away on Oct. 2, 1994. He was also predeceased by one brother, Leon Hayes; and one sister, Lena Mae Randlett. Survivors include one son, Bradford Hayes and his wife, Claudia, of Chestertown; three brothers: Lester Hayes and his wife, Doris, of Brant Lake, Edgar Hayes of Brant Lake, and Ray Hayes of Brant Lake; one sister, Leta Hayes of Warrensburg; two grandchildren, Norman Hayes and his fiance‚, Georgene, of Chestertown, Kimberly Hayes-Borden and her husband, Eric, of Saratoga Springs; one great-grandson, Ethan Lorenzo Hayes; one niece, and many nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, March 14, at Faith Bible Church, Foster Flats Road, Chestertown, with the Rev. Roger Richards officiating. Mitchison, Catherine E. WHITEHALL -- Catherine E. Mitchison, 95, formerly of county Route 12, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2005, at Indian River Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Granville. Orisek, Elizabeth Cleaves "Betty" GREENFIELD CENTER -- Elizabeth "Betty" Cleaves Orisek of Greene Road, and also of Edgewater, Fla., died Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at Hospice Center of Volusia/Flagler in Port Orange, Fla., after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 68. Born on April 30, 1936, in Saratoga Springs, she was a lifelong area resident and daughter of the late Clarence and Margaret (Briggs) Cleaves. Betty was an active member and past president of the Greenfield Fire Auxiliary and member and past president of the Brookhaven Women's Golf League. She was also a member of the Gurtler Brothers Post No. 420 Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary as well as the Eagles Club and the Moose Lodge. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, June Williams and Patricia Gaudreau; her brothers, John and Clarence Cleaves; and two granddaughters, Gabriella and Francesca Giordano. She is survived by her husband of almost 50 years, Frank Orisek of Greenfield Center; her daughters, Lynda Giordano and her husband, Leo, of Corinth, Deborah Hopkins of Greenfield Center, Kathy Cresswell and her husband, David, of Waterford, and Carol Osborne of Greenfield Center; five grandchildren: Erik, Kevin and Jessica Hopkins and Nicholas and Lexi Stack (Cresswell); and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 14, at William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs. Burial will follow at Gerald B.H.
