Marian was born July 24, 1927, in Rutland, Vt., the daughter of Catherine (Wade) and Francais Jeannotte. She worked for more than 20 years at Troy Shirt Guild in Glens Falls. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by one son, Bruce Evans, who died April 23, 2002; two daughters, Nancy Winney, who died Feb. 7, 2002, and Bonnie (Evans) Sumner, who died March 30, 2004. She was also predeceased by three brothers and one sister. Survivors include one son, Gary Evans of Glens Falls; two daughters, Elizabeth Finch and her husband, John, of Glens Falls, and Tammy Evans of Manchester, N.H. She is also survived by one brother, Raymond Kew and his wife, Phyllis, of Hudson Falls. Marian also leaves behind eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. One of Marian's greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, on whom she doted. She was a lifelong jigsaw and crossword puzzle fan, and a Johnny Cash fan. She also enjoyed working in her flower bed and reading the paper daily. She has left her footprints behind in the sands of time, in the moonlight, and in those who love her. She wouldn't want too many tears shed over her passing. Rather, remember that she now lives with the angels, spending eternity in the Lord's presence. Marian was one of a kind, a treasure among treasures, a unique soul that has never passed this way before. Her impact is unique to her, bringing so many things to those around her; and to God's creation, that only she could have done. "In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust ... bow down your ear to me; be thou my strong rock and my fortress... mine eye is consumed with grief ... be of good courage and He shall strengthen your heart (ps. 31)." As she drew near to heaven's door, God reached out, took her hand, and said, "Come, my dear, precious child, and share eternity with me." And, for our beloved Marian, there is now the peace of eternity, with no pain, no sorrow, and no grief. Cremation is under the auspices of Conner-Healy Funeral Home, 537 Union St., Manchester, N.H., 03104. Graveside services will be conducted at 12 noon, Saturday, May 21, at Maple Hill Cemetery, Route 30, Dorset, Vt. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, tokens of remembrances may be sent in Marian's name to the American Cancer Society, 959 Route 9 Mount Royal Plaza, Queensbury, NY 12804, or to a charity of your choice.
