She resided at the Crescent Manor in Bennington, Vt., since 2004. Prior to that, she lived in Hudson Falls for most of her life. Kay was born on Nov. 30, 1927, in Fort Ann. She worked at the W. T. Grant Store in Hudson Falls and was a housewife. Kay loved getting her grandchildren off the bus and enjoyed country music. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Agnes Brown; her husband, Bernard Blanchard; a brother, Bernard Brown; a sister, Irean Joiner; her mother-in-law, Eva Blanchard; and a grandson, Thomas "T. J." Burke. She is survived by two daughters, Doreen Ryder and her husband, LeRoy, of Bolton Landing, and June Borden and her husband, Robert, of Hudson Falls; a son, Larry Blanchard and his wife, Sue, of Hudson Falls; seven grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; two sisters, Marilyn LaPoint of South Glens Falls and Geri Rivers of Hudson Falls; a brother, Kenneth Brown of Kingsbury; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, at Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main St. in Hudson Falls. After the calling hour at the funeral home, a funeral service will take place there at 2 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rite of Committal will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery in the town of Kingsbury. Campbell, Olive Hope GRANVILLE -- Olive Hope Campbell went peacefully into the loving arms of the Lord on Mother's Day, May 8, 2005, while a resident at the Orchard Nursing Home in Granville. Olive was born on Sept. 23, 1916, in Troy, the daughter of Clarance and Mary Dunbar, and sister to Marie. Mrs. Campbell was a homemaker, raising her three sons in Granville. In the early days, Olive enjoyed trips with her family to Lake Saint Catherine, Vt., visits to her father's farm in Petersburg, N.Y., and Sunday Mass at Saint Mary's Church in Granville. She especially enjoyed gardening and the numerous flowers she planted and nurtured at her home on Emerald Hill in Truthville. Mrs. Campbell was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Dr. Daniel J. Campbell, D.M.D. II; a son, Daniel J. Campbell III, and an infant daughter, Sharon Marie Campbell. Survivors include her sons, Dennis J. Campbell and Michael "Craig" Campbell, both of Granville; as well as her daughters-in-law, Sandra E. Campbell of Granville and Gitta "Judy" Campbell of Naples, Fla. Her grandchildren include: Daniel J. Campbell IV, Michael C. Campbell II, Scott Campbell, Christopher Campbell, Shelley Campbell, Crystal Crossman, Julie Taylor, Sheri Bourn, and a stepgranddaughter, Evelyn Williams; great-grandchilldren include Daniel J. Chapman, 82, died Saturday, May 7, 2005, at Columbia Memorial Hospital, Hudson, following a long illness. Born March 14, 1923, in Truthville, he was the son of Delbert and Florence (Thomas) Chapman. A 1941 graduate of Granville High School, he served in the U.S. Air Force in England during World War II. He was a correction officer at Great Meadow Correctional Facility in Comstock. Mr. Chapman graduated from the Bowman Watch School and enjoyed working on watches, gardening and music. He was a member and Elder of the Middle Granville Presbyterian Church, a member of American Legion Post No. 323 in Granville and a former member of the Penrhyn Engine & Hose Co., Middle Granville. Besides his parents, his brother, Wilbur Chapman, and his sister, Alice Pepper, died before him. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Patricia (Ware) Chapman; two daughters, Kathy Chapman of Hartford, and Susan Whitney and her husband, Peter, of Granville; one sister, Nellie Liebig of Middle Granville; his granddaughter, Jennifer Whitney; and several nieces and nephews. Private services will be conducted at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery, Middle Granville. No calling hours will be scheduled. Dombrowski, Anna GRANVILLE -- Anna Dombrowski, 89, a resident of the Orchard Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for several years in Granville, died Saturday, May 7, 2005, at the facility. Born in Granville on Jan. 21, 1916, she was the daughter of Michael and Katherine (Biros) Lobo. Mrs. Dombrowski had been a resident of the Bridgeport, Conn., area for many years. Her husband, John Dombrowski, died in 1989. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by three brothers: Stephen Lobo, Andrew Lobo and John Lobo. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Veronica Lobo of Granville; seven nieces, Debra Lobo of Comstock, Cathy Pekar of Granville, Linda Cooper of Rutland, Vt., Sandra Redmond of Whitehall, Patricia Mack of Gafton, Vt., Carolyn Lobo of Newtown, Conn., and Lorraine Curley of Columbus, Ohio; two nephews, Michael Lobo of Hudson Falls and Edward Lobo of Granville; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Dunigan, 82, died Sunday, May 8, 2005, at his residence in Salem after a long illness. He was born Jan. 17, 1923, in Salem, the son of the late Peter and Catherine (Shields) Dunigan. John was a 1940 graduate of Salem Washington Academy. He was an Army veteran of World War II and participated in the invasion of Normandy. John was a retired employee of the custodial staff at the Salem Central School, had also worked at the Salem Mobil Station and the Salem Town Highway Department. He was a lifelong communicant of the Holy Cross Church in Salem. John was dedicated to his family and work and will be remembered for his great sense of humor. Besides his parents, John was predeceased by two sisters, Margaret Ford and Gert Blanchfield, and four brothers, Jim, Bill, Frank and Ed Dunigan. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Lura "Tiny" (Carlton) Dunigan; one son, Peter Dunigan and his wife, Anne, of Salem; one daughter, Mary Dunigan of Rutland, Vt.; three grandchildren: Erin and Bridget Dunigan of Salem, and Jason Watters and his wife, Shamyra, of Rutland, Vt.; three great-grandchildren: Hayley, Mackenzie and Jayden Watters; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. French, 79, of Bellews Circle, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2005, at The Stanton in Queensbury, after a long illness. Born on March 9, 1926, in Bolton Landing, he was the son of the late, Harry and Bertha (Sherman) French. Milton was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran during World War II, serving in the South Pacific. He served overseas for 23 months, in which time he participated in two landings on New Guinea, also landing on Letye, Luzon, Panay, Negres, Malkkus and Okinawa. Because of his service he was awarded five Bronze Stars. On Oct. 8, 1949, he married Lena M. Gochie, in Schroon Lake. He was employed by Borden's Dairy in Glens Falls, and then later Chase Bag in Moreau for 25 years. While at Chase Bag, he was union president of one of the local unions there. After his retirement from Chase Bag, he was employed by Burns News Agency in Glens Falls and as a Warren Co. election machine inspector for 10 years. He was a communicant of St. Alphonsus Parish in Glens Falls. Milton was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Adirondack Post 2475 in Glens Falls, American Legion Mohican Post 553 of South Glens Falls, the Glens Falls Elks Lodge No. 81 and the Knights of Columbus Council 194, in Queensbury. He enjoyed going to the Saratoga Race Course and other tracks. He was an avid basketball and baseball fan and liked various other sports also. Besides his parents, a sister, Theadora Palmer and two brothers, Harry French, Jr. and Lee French, passed away before him. Tyrel, 52, died Sunday, May 8, 2005, at Glens Falls Hospital after a long illness. Born June 25, 1952, in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Preston and Loreta (Dalaba) Tyrel. Mr. Tyrel was a log turner for Brown and Son Lumber of Pottersville and was a lineman for Lloyd Construction of Plant City, Fla. His hobbies included hunting and fishing. He was predeceased by two brothers, Arthur Tyrel and Elmer Tyrel. Survivors include his wife of more than 29 years, Regina Meade Tyrel of North Creek, whom he married May 23, 1975; four sons, Harold Meade and his companion, Kay Heath, of Pottersville, Howard Meade and his wife, Bonnie, of Chestertown, Frank Meade and his wife, Jill, of North Creek, Thomas Meade and his companion, Heather Weinberg, of Pottersville; three sisters: Martha Cieszynski and her husband, Walter, of Altamont, Helen Meade-Bohannon and her husband, Herbert, of Lawtey, Fla., and Jeannine Meade of Saratoga; one brother, David Tyrel and his wife, Linda, of North Creek; three sisters: Hilda VanDerwarker of Pottersville, Wanda Haynes of Colonie, and Lillian Boatwright of West Columbia, N.C.; seven grandchildren: Richard Steele, Danielle Steele, Samantha Meade, Franklin Meade, Frederick Meade, Michael Meade, and Geoffrey Greene; two great-grandchildren, Kirk Steele and Matthew Steele; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. "Aud" (Harpp) White, age 88, passed away peacefully at home Saturday morning, May 7, 2005, surrounded by her family. Born on March 21, 1917, in Hadley, she was the daughter of J. Smith and Ethel M. (Shippee) Harpp. Audrey graduated from Hadley Luzerne School in 1935. Thereafter, she worked as an accounts payable assistant and librarian for the town of Hadley. On April 23, 1938, she married Joseph W. White of Hadley. After a military assignment that took them as far as California, they returned to Hadley, and in 1946, she and her husband opened Joseph W. White Trucking, Inc. During the company's 50-year operation, it evolved into the largest forest products trucking fleet in the Adirondack region. Aud will be remembered for her selfless devotion to her husband, her acts of kindness to family, acquaintances, former employees and her devotion and love for her great-grandnephew, Adam. She loved spending time with her family and friends. During the last two years of Aud's life she enjoyed living with her special great-grandnephew, Adam Bourdeau, his wife, Michelle, and family. She really enjoyed the company of the children. She enjoyed watching Adam's daughter, Alexis, dance and watching cartoons with her every morning. Aud and Alexis spent a lot of time playing Barbie's and eating cookies. She enjoyed listening to Joseph and Cody tell her about their Little League games and video games. She also enjoyed playing instant lottery games. Audrey was predeceased by her husband, Joseph W. White, one sister, Mildred Baurman, and one brother, Hubert W. Harpp. She is survived by one cousin, Bea Harpp of Chestertown, as well as several nieces and nephews. Aud's family would like to thank Dr. Pitkin, JoAnn Zornes, Sherry Bourdeau and Sharon Brooks for the wonderful care, support and friendship they gave Aud at home. FAIR HAVEN, Vt. -- Ranae Mary Wood, 44, died Friday evening, May 6, 2005, at Rutland Regional Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. Ranae was born Nov. 6, 1960, in Middlebury, Vt., the daughter of Catherine (Bowen) Labshere. She graduated from Fair Haven Union High School with the Class of 1978. Ranae loved people and was a loyal and dedicated employee to her various employers throughout her working career. She was employed as a manager for Mike Henry and his family at the California Fruit Store in Rutland for 10 years. She later worked for Spaulding Fuels in Fair Haven and also for Dave Camara at his family business, Camara Slate Co. of Fair Haven for 13 years. Ranae became affiliated, because of her knowledge of slate, with the Slate Valley Museum in Granville, and through their influence she developed her own Internet business of manufacturing and marketing several different types of speciality products made of slate, which had grown into a very successful business. During her life, she never lost her desire to care for her family and continued to find time to enjoy her flower gardens and her beloved pets, Lucas and Mary Jane. Ranae is survived by her husband, Doug Wood of Fair Haven, Vt., whom she married May 30, 1986; her son, Michael Wood of Fair Haven; her mother, Catherine Labshere of Whitehall; a sister, Gail Bruno of Bomoseen; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Hollis and Martha Bowen and by a brother, Michael Boutwell, who died in 1974. A graveside funeral service will be held at the convenience of her family. A Celebration and Remembrance of her life will be held today, May 9, at her home on Bolger Road commencing at 1 p.m. All of her many friends and family are invited to come and share the many happy memories of her life with her family.
