GRANVILLE -- Harry P. Bartholomew, age 64 years, of Granville, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2005, at Glens Falls Hospital. Harry was born in Granville, on Jan. 9, 1941, he was the son of the late Donald Bartholomew and Gladys (Palmer) Matteson. He served his country honorably for the United States Army. Harry was employed for 15 years as a wood worker for Telescope Casual Furniture in Granville. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Harry is survived by his mother, Gladys Matteson of Granville; his stepfather, Hugh Matteson of Granville; six sisters, Margaret Dunbar of North Pawlet, Vt., Beverly Dunbar of Proctor, Vt., Joanne Duffany of Manchester, Vt., Alice Farnsworth of Cambridge, Ann Bartholomew of Rutland, Vt., and Mary Fenton of Hubberton, Vt.; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Richard Matteson and Almon Bartholomew. Relatives and friends may call from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, at Roberts-Aubin Funeral Home, in Poultney, Vt. Hudson Falls -- Lynn E. Bennett, 89, of River Street, died on Wednesday, May 18, 2005, at Eden Park Health Care Center. He was born on May 14, 1916, in Sturgeon Falls, Province of Ontario, Canada, the son of Peter and Estelle (Viele) Bennett. Lynn retired from the Sandy Hill Corporation in Hudson Falls in 1981 after 34 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and working on cars. Lynn was predeceased by his parents; two sisters, Ethel Bourgault, and Hazel Measeck; an infant brother; two children, an infant daughter, Estelle; and a son, Peter; a grandson, Shawn; and two nieces, Patricia Bourgault Reeves, and Judy Bourgault Bradley. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Anna (Smith) Maziejka Bennett; two daughters, Marsha Schul and her husband, Elden "Pete", of Sanborn, N.Y. and Phyllis Townsend of Lockport, N.Y.; a son, Gerald Lynn Bennett and his wife, Kathy, of Lockport, N.Y.; three stepchildren, Stanley Maziejka and his wife, Kathryn, of Fort Edward, Edward Maziejka and his wife, Evelyn, of Glens Falls, and Sally Vishneowski and her husband, Alex, of South Glens Falls; a nephew, David Bourgault of Hudson Falls; and a cousin, Jane Carpenter of Fort Edward. Flammer, Andrea MALTA -- Andrea Flammer of Malta, a teacher at Washington CF (Correctional Facility) for 18 years, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2005. Petrikas, Jacqueline Ann FORT ANN -- Jacqueline Ann Petrikas, 75, of Clay Hill Road, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, May 18, 2005, after a long illness. Born on Oct. 6, 1928, in Boston, Mass., she was the daughter of John and Sadie (McCormick) Ormond. Jacqueline grew up in Dorchester, Mass. On Oct. 2, 1947, she married Arthur C. Petrikas in Boston, Mass. They moved to Massapequa, Long Island, in 1950, where they lived until 1971, moving to Fort Ann. The dash between 1928 to 2005. People who knew and loved her, know her dash was spent as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She could walk into a room filled with strangers and leave having met everyone there. Jacqueline loved being with people, especially her family. After moving to the Adirondacks, she helped her husband develop and operate Fort Ann Campgrounds, which was also their home. They would travel to Florida in their RV for the winter months. Although she did not swim, she loved the water, being near it, or on it, in a boat. Jacqueline was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Arthur C Petrikas; her son, Jon Anthony Petrikas; her brother- in-law, William Petrikas (whom she raised as a son) and her two brothers, Francis Ormond and Joseph Ormond. Survivors include her sister, Margaret Spina of Beverly, Mass.; seven children: Linda Barber and her husband, Patrick, of Whitehall, Dianne Kaan, of Millbrook, N.Y., Arthur C. "Jeffery" Petrikas and his wife, Kathleen, of Fort Ann, Jacqueline Honeyman and her husband, Mark, of Moreau, Robbin Havens and her husband, Michael, of Hudson Falls, F. Garth Petrikas and his wife, Stacey, of Queensbury, and George Petrikas and his wife, Janene, of Fort Ann; 10 grandchildren: Joseph R. Buckman III and his wife, Elizabeth, Carrie J. Buckman, Ronald Kaan and his wife, Kim, Shawn Kaan, Kasey Petrikas, Jordon Honeyman, Lauren Rotunda, Jena Honeyman, Kylie Petrikas and Avery Petrikas; four great- grandchildren: Nevei Kaan, Trey Kaan, Ethan Buckman and Riley Kaan; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Sullivan, 66, died Monday, May 16, 2005, at Glens Falls Hospital. She had been a resident at Pleasant Valley Infirmary in Argyle since 2002. She was born March 2, 1939, the daughter of the late Peggy Dawley. Deanna was a communicant of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Salem. Her employment included Triangle Wire in Bennington and LaFlamme's in Granville. Besides her mother she was predeceased by her husband of 39 years, Richard Sullivan. Survivors include two sons, John L. "Jack" Sullivan of Salem and Dale A. Farrar of Florida; a sister, Janice Peabody of California; and a brother, Butch White of Texas; and one grandson, Jared Farrar. A memorial service will be held at a date to be announced. Weiss, age 82, of Hunt Lake Road, died Wednesday morning, May 18, 2005, at Glens Falls Hospital. Born on Jan. 26, 1923, in Hadley, he was the son of Galen H. and Jeanette (Holland) Weiss. He was a lifelong resident of Hadley. He married Carolyn Dunn on May 23, 1948, at the Rockwell Falls Presbyterian Church Parsonage, Lake Luzerne. Galen was employed at International Paper Company in Corinth for 34 years. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club of the mill. He enjoyed carpentry and woodworking, playing pinochle, hunting, fishing, camping and traveling. He especially enjoyed being surrounded by his family. Galen and Carolyn lovingly opened their home to foster children for 37 years. Galen was predeceased by one son, Bruce J. Weiss, who died on Oct. 26, 1978; one granddaughter, Lisa Thompson, who died on April 25, 2002; and one sister, Mary Smith. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Carolyn Weiss of Hadley; one daughter, Gail Thompson and her husband, Dale, of Benson, N.C.; three grandchildren, Tammy Cirillo and her husband, Bill, of Lake Luzerne, Bruce "B.J." Weiss Jr. of Lake Luzerne, Hilary Thompson of Benson, N.C.; Nine great-grandchildren, Darren Cirillo, Drew Cirillo, Kiley Rondeau, Christopher Vonscilassy, Bruce J. Weiss III, Devin Alec Weiss, Hunter Carson Weiss, Autumn Brook Moffitt, John Nicholas Moffitt; three special foster children, Doreen Lawyer and her husband, James, of Sharon Springs, their children, Jamie and Aaron and grandchild, Caitlynn, Priscilla Klinger and her husband, Arthur, of Walton and their children, Makayla, Maranda and Blain, Tricia Jacques and her husband, Ryan, of Franklin and their children, Trevor and Morgan; one nephew, Wayne Smith of Harleton, Texas; one niece, Lynn McCoy of Lake Wales, Fla., as well as several cousins.
