GREENWICH -- Linda J. Schneible, 56, died Friday, May 20, 2005, at her home on Route 40, in the town of Greenwich, surrounded by her loving family. Born Sept. 12, 1948, in Cambridge, she was the daughter of the late Charles T. and Jean Lyttle Kipp. She was a graduate of Greenwich High School, Class of 1967. She married Paul Schneible on April 6, 1968. Linda was a former employee of Evergreen Bank in Greenwich for 25 years, and had also been employed as a cafeteria aide at Greenwich Central School. She loved flowers and had worked part time for Belle Fleur in Greenwich and was a member of Bottskill Baptist Church. She enjoyed growing gourds and pumpkins for her favorite season, fall. Linda was a cancer patient for a number of years and was a mentor for anyone in need. She was involved with the Relay for Life and used her situation to benefit others. Her family was very important to her, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Paul R. Schneible of Greenwich; two sons, Paul C. Schneible and his wife, Sharon, of Argyle, and David T. Schneible and his wife, Tonya, of Argyle; two sisters, Judy Mattison and her husband, John, of Greenwich, and Bonnie Raney of Greenwich; four grandchildren Christopher, Jessica, Katelyn, and Zachary; several nieces, nephews and many other family members. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, at the Argyle United Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Stephen McLean officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwich Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St., Greenwich. Memorials may be made in her memory to the Charles R. Wood Cancer Center at Glens Falls Hospital, 102 Park St., Glens Falls, NY 12801. Published in the Post-Star on 5/22/2005. Worthington, Harold E. HEBRON -- Harold E. Worthington, 95, died Friday, May 20, 2005, at the residence of his daughter, Lucinda Skelly, in Hebron after a long illness. He was born April 7, 1910, in Pittstown, the son of the late Ralph E. and Nellie (Brenenstuhl) Worthington. Harold was a longtime dairy farmer, and had worked for the highway departments of the town of Hebron and Washington County. He was a member of the West Hebron United Methodist Church, the Hebron Historical Society, the Hebron Valley Grange, the Salem Coon and Cat Club, the Salem Fish and Game Club, the Ten Point Fish and Game Club, the Eagles of Hoosick Falls, a founding member of the Hebron Volunteer Fire Department, a member of the Washington County Democratic Committee and former chairman of the Hebron Democratic Committee. He also was a councilman for the town of Hebron for many years. Harold enjoyed hunting, raising dogs, playing cards, storytelling, reading, Native American history and spending time with his family. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Mabel Mae Worthington, who died in 1997; his sisters, Barbara and Marion Worthington, Marcia Underhill and Julia Tilleson and his brother, Robert Worthington. Survivors include his daughter, Lucinda Skelly and her husband, Ray, of Hebron; his son, Arthur Worthington and his wife, Dorothy, of West Hebron; his grandchildren: Cheryl Kilmartin, Yolanda Szabatura, Sheila Crimi, Raymond and Michael Skelly, Doreen Meany, Jeff, Christopher and Douglas Worthington and Angela Corbett; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 23, at the West Hebron United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Debbie Earthrowl, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Hoosick Cemetery. Friends may call at McClellan Funeral Home, 19 East Broadway, Salem, Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, that memorial donations be made in his memory to the Hebron Fire Co., Salem, NY 12865 or the West Hebron United Methodist Church, Salem, NY 12865.
