"Frenchy" NORTHVILLE -- Glendon J. "Frenchy" Claire, 74, of Ridge Road, Northville, died Thursday, May 26, 2005, at home following a long illness. He was born on June 12, 1930, in Edinburg, N.Y., the son of the late James P. and Muriel Stone Claire. Glendon was a graduate of Northville Central School, where he was an exceptional basketball player and was inducted into the Northville Central School Hall of Fame. He was a Navy veteran, serving his country from 1949 to 1951. Glendon was employed as a paper maker for International Paper for 34 years until retiring in 1988 due to illness. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Northville and the American Legion Post 1076 in Northville. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy May Patten Claire of Northville; three sons: Keith and Mary Claire of Staten Island, Craig and Lori Claire of Spokane, Wash., and James and Michelle Claire of Northville; one daughter, Denice Claire of Gloversville; one brother, Eldon Claire of Northville; nice grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by three sisters: Helen Robinson, Katherine Claire and Mary Louise Fryer and two sons, Glen Allen Claire and Wayne Claire. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, at Northville Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, with the Rev. Michael Terrell officiating. Gilleran, 50, a longtime resident of the Wilton-Greenfield IRA, died Wednesday, May 25, 2005, at Glens Falls Hospital following a brief illness. Born on Aug. 14, 1954, in Rockville Center, he was the son of the late Robert and Eileen (Barron) Gilleran. Kevin first resided at the Wilton Developmental Center for a few years, and then lived for several years at the Wilton-Greenfield IRA on Wilton Road in Greenfield. He loved his caregivers at the IRA and at the Day Hab Program. He also enjoyed being held and rocked, using his swing outside, and loved spending time in the nature room in the Day Hab in Corinth with his senior companions. Kevin was predeceased by his parents and by one sister, Nancy Gilleran. Besides his caregiving family at the Wilton-Greenfield IRA and at the Day Hab program he is also survived by one brother, Robert T. Gilleran of Van Nuys, Calif.; one nephew, Damian Gilleran of Van Nuys, Calif.; and many cousins. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, at Densmore Funeral Home, Inc., 7 Sherman Ave., Corinth, with Lawrence Willette, deacon at St. Clements Church, Saratoga Springs, officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Corinth. Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, prior to the service. Herrick, Jack (John) BALLSTON SPA -- Jack (John) Herrick, 55, of Deerfield Place, Ballston Spa, died peacefully in the loving arms of his family at his home on Wednesday, May 25, 2005, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Born in Yonkers, Aug. 30, 1949, he was the son of the late Jack J. and Catherine (Heater) Herrick. He attended St Margaret's of Crotona and graduated from DeWitt Clinton High School. Jack was employed by A Greenhouse/Gourmet Awards NE for 25 years. He held many positions and was respected and loved by his co-workers. He was a member of Whitcomb's Rangers, a 18th Century re-enactment group and was very proud to portray the 18th Century American Revolutionary Soldier. He loved his country. Jack loved his friends and was lucky to be loved by them his whole life. He was proud to have many adopted daughters and sons. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and love of life. Survivors include his loving wife of 28 years, Debbie (nee Dennis) Herrick and the lights of his life his daughters, Donna Herrick of Portland, Ore., Kim Herrick of Ballston Spa, and Laura Herrick of Ballston Spa; his sister, Barbara Jeanne Herrick of Waterloo, Iowa; mother-in-law, Kathleen Dennis; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Liz and Ken Howley; niece and her husband, Anne and Bob Bennett; his aunts and uncles: Jeanne Jeannings, Catherine Herrick Daly, Ann Heater, Edward Heater, Marty McGrath, and Tom Daly, and their families; and numerous cousins who he held dearly. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, at St Mary's Catholic Church, Milton Avenue, Ballston Spa where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Huntley, Jadea Dianne "And in the twinkling of an eye, this little one came into our hearts forever" Hudson Falls -- Jadea Dianne Huntley, 12.6 oz., 9 1/2 inches, newborn daughter of Danielle Marie Hunt and Lerone Chet Huntley, passed away at birth joining her paternal grandfather, Leroy Huntley, Tuesday, May 24, 2005, from Albany Medical Center. Although she was with us for such a short time, we will never forget how precious and beautiful she looked, how soft she felt, and how much we will miss her. Besides her parents, survivors include two brothers, Justice D. Hunt and Nathaniel J. Waugh of Hudson Falls; maternal grandparents, Dianne L. Hunt and her fianc‚, Ricky Granger of Brant Lake, and Daniel J. Hunt and his wife, Jennifer, of Glens Falls; paternal grandmother, Yvette Francis of Trinidad; three maternal aunts, Jeannie M. Mallon, Raymond Lloyd QUEENSBURY -- Raymond Lloyd Mallon, 83, of Queensbury, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2005, at The Orchard Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Granville, surrounded by his family. Born on June 8, 1921, in Hudson Falls, he was the son of the late Pauline and Joseph Mallon. Ray grew up in Hudson Falls and graduated from the Hudson Falls High School. He was a World War II veteran. Ray worked at Sandy Hill Corp. for over 40 years and looked forward to the retirement picnic held each fall. He enjoyed sewing, gardening and cooking. He was a wonderful husband and father, who spent many hours playing with his grandchildren. Ray also loved to go fishing and camping with his children, out to the movies and out to eat with his family. He will be forever loved and missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his wife, Darlene Mallon of Queensbury; five sons, Raymond Mallon Jr. of Hudson Falls, Kevin Mallon and his wife, Hollie, of Hadley Luzerne, Tim Mallon and his wife, Ilona, of Maryland, Daniel Mallon of South Glens Falls and Curtis Mallon of Rutland, Vt; two daughters, Donnette Ulrich and her husband, Walt, of Hadley Luzerne and April Mallon of Fort Edward; two sisters, Inez Chakalis of Fort Edward and Rita Mallon of Ohio; six grandchildren, Karen and Heidi Ulrich, Johanna and Nicoline Mallon, Daniel Mallon, Jr. and Jacob Mallon-Clear; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Savale Jr., George Harrison Queensbury -- George Harrison Savale Jr., 77, of Dream Lake Road, died Thursday, May 26, 2005, at Glens Falls Hospital. Born Nov. 6, 1927, in Haledon, N.J., he was the son of the late George Harrison Sr. and Jean Madeline (Foster) Savale. George attended Haledon Grade School through 9th grade, and graduated with the class of 1945, at the Central High School in Paterson, N.J. He served U.S. Maritime Service from 1945 until 1946 in Italy, Africa, and Belgium theatres. He was employed from January of 1947 until September of 1959, by Fire Companies Adjustment Bureau, in Manhattan, N.Y., Paterson, N.J., Albany, N.Y. and Glens Falls, offices, which had a name change to General Adjustment Bureau. He was self employed as a Public Adjuster until 1955, and ran a Home TV service in the Queensbury and Glens Falls area from 1951 until 1974. He was also a self employed building contractor from 1951 until 1988, and was employed at Kamyr, Inc. from January of 1974 until May of 1988, which became Ahlstrom, Inc. Notable construction projects include Greenwich, Water Works, Kim Gannon historic residence in Greenwich, Sanford Ridge United Methodist Church restoration, Quaker Electric Building, Northgate Center in Queensbury, and restoration of Fort William Henry, Lake George. George had many hobbies including restoring and riding Indian motorcycles, antique cars including his grandfather's Savale Steamer (1897) and building and flying airplanes. Active in Masonic Order, he was Past Master of Senate Lodge 456 Free and Accepted Masons (Now Queensbury Lodge 121), St. Sacrament Lodge 1029 (Now Warrensburg 425) Past High Priest of Glens Falls Chapter 55 RAM, Past T.I. Master of Joseph Warren Council 81, and Past Patron of Glens Star Chapter No. 95 OES. Also he was a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies, Valleys of Albany and Troy, Oriental Temple AAONMS of Troy, N.Y., Glens Falls Shrine Club, and Keystone Kops unit. Mr. Savale was a fire-policeman with the Bay Ridge Fire Department and life member of the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association) Glens Falls N.Y. Owners and Pilots Association as well as a life member of the Florida Air Museum at Sun'n Fun in Lakeland, Fla., and a member of the Adirondack Sam Chapter. As a member of several EAA Local Chapters, he assisted others in their aircraft projects and was the Young Eagles Coordinator for Chapter 353 (Glens Falls) and Chapter 454 (Lakeland), setting up and coordinating free flights for youths 8 through 17 years old. He was also proud to serve his "Whirled Famous" pancakes at fly-ins and church functions. George was a member of the Sanford Ridge United Methodist Church in Queensbury, for more than 40 years, and served many positions, including singing with the choir, and as a Certified Lay Speaker. With Christ United Methodist Church in Lakeland, Fla., he was also a member as "Cheap" cook. With both churches, and some other groups, he started a number of Gourmet Clubs, based on many different themes, and the unique requirement that the members cook dishes that they had not attempted before. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by the former Norma Alice Miller, whom he married on Oct. 17, 1949; a daughter, Janice; a sister, Joan Ellen; and a stepmother, Thelma Eileen (Turner). Survivors besides his wife, Mary Ellen (Mottram) Savale, include three daughters, Joanne Marie, Wendy Ann, and Amy Renee; two sisters, Thelma E. and Zoila Savale of Warwick, N.Y.; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Watt, age 83, of Hampton, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2005, at the Indian River Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Granville. She was born in West Rutland, Vt., on Jan. 19, 1922, daughter of the late Samuel and Jennie (Clemons) Ballard. Prior to her retirement she was employed by the Green Mountain College for 22 years in the housekeeping department. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, making crafts for Easter and Christmas, and also enjoyed taking bus tours to Montreal, Maine, and Nova Scotia. Margaret is survived by her daughter, Patricia Panoushek and her husband, Joseph of Hampton; six grandchildren, Diana DeLong of Massachusetts, Susan Bunker of Poultney, Vt., Jeffrey Panoushek of Granville, Steven Panoushek of West Rutland, Vt., Karen Spaulding of Hampton, Joanne Gates of Benson, Vt., and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Watt in 1974; seven brothers, Richard Ballard, Samuel Ballard, Robert Ballard, Walter Ballard, Truman Ballard, William Ballard and Ernest Ballard and one sister, Alice Scribner. Relatives and friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Roberts-Aubin Funeral Home in Poultney. A funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home. The Rev.
