She was born July 6, 1934, in Cambridge, the daughter of the late Franklin and Margaret Hedges McLenithan. Joyce graduated from Cambridge High School and was employed at the Cambridge Valley Livestock Market before becoming a homemaker. She loved flowers and enjoyed gardening at her home. Joyce was an active member of the Shushan United Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School for 42 years and was involved in many organizations and committees within the church. She was a member of the Committee for Youth for Christ. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Neil R. Adams; two sons and their wives, Raymond and Lori Adams and Brian and Sandy Adams, all of Shushan. Joyce is also survived by her sisters and brothers, Ruth Skellie of Greenwich, Stanley McLenithan of Salem, Lorraine Bovard of Grove City, Pa., and Glenn McLenithan of Cambridge. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Sarah Lourie, Laura Adams, Cassandra Adams and David Adams, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her brothers, Charles McLenithan and Irving McLenithan. Relatives and friends are invited to attend services on Monday, Nov. 7, 2005, at 2 p.m. at the Shushan United Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Boyd Heldring officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family at the Evergreen Cemetery in Salem. At Joyce's request, there will be no calling hours. Bouton, Marian Dow Liebig NORTH HEBRON -- Marian Dow Liebig Bouton, 89, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2005, at Indian River Health & Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by her loving family. Born Jan. 24, 1916, in Saranac, Clinton County, N.Y., she was the daughter of Harry and Marjorie (Allen) Dow. She graduated from Cadyville High School in 1931 and from Plattsburgh State Normal in 1935. She taught school for a number of years. Marian married Truman T. Liebig Sr. in 1938. Mr. Liebig died in 1977. She worked for the Department of Social Services for 15 years as a senior caseworker. In 1984, she married Clifford C. Bouton. Mr. Bouton died in 1998. Mrs. Bouton was active in the South Granville Church, Mettowee Valley Senior Citizens, as well as a member of the Slate Valley Garden Club. She enjoyed playing the piano, sewing, knitting and crocheting. Survivors include one son, Truman Liebig Jr. of North Hebron; three daughters, Marilyn Nolan of Cambridge, Laurene Liebig of Johnstown and Sharon Gordon of North Hebron; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; she had three stepchildren, Shirley Thompkins, Robert Bouton, and Alice Winters; and a number of nieces and nephews, stepgranchildren and stepgreatgranchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Robert M. King Funeral Home, 23 Church St., Granville, with the Rev. Robert Flower officiating. No calling hours will be scheduled. "Bus" Fish, 94, of Argyle, died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2005, at Pleasant Valley Infirmary in Argyle, where he had been a resident since May 2005. Born on Dec. 5, 1910, in Fort Edward, he was the son of the late John and Bertha (Hill) Fish. He married Geraldine Colvin Gates on April 27, 1937, in Fort Edward. His wife died May 12, 2005, after 68 years of marriage. Bus worked at Imperial Wallpaper and Color and later at Hercules, Inc., as an electrician for more than 30 years. After retirement, he worked in the area helping friends and neighbors with electrical needs. He always gave generously of his time and abilities. He was an active member of his church at Pine Knolls Alliance in South Glens Falls and was formerly active for many years at the Village Baptist Church in Fort Edward. Besides his parents and his wife, he is predeceased by all of his siblings: Raymond, Harry, John, Clifford, Albert, Earl, Ralph and Robert Fish. Also, Florence Johnson and Myrtle Berkowitz and several half brothers and sisters. He is survived by his children, Daryle Fish and his wife, Ruth, of South Glens Falls, a daughter, Patricia Abrahamson and her husband, Richard, of Cossayuna and a son, Gordon Fish and his friend, Sharon Corlew, of Fort Edward; nine grandchildren: Ann Greene and her husband, Pat, Daryle Fish and his wife, Caryl, Scott Fish and his wife, Katie, Diane Sprague and her husband, Scott, Pam Bice and her husband, Sean, Todd Abrahamson and his wife, Kathy, Dan Abrahamson and his wife, Stephanie, Beth Payne and her husband, John, and Charlene Bell and her husband, Ben; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. At the request of the family, there will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2005, at 2 p.m., at Pine Knolls Alliance Church, 614 Gansevoort Road, South Glens Falls. Holland, of a longtime resident of Liberty Street, died Wednesday morning, Nov. 2, 2005, at Saratoga Hospital. Born on May 28, 1920, in Hadley, he was the son of the late Sanford and Maryetta (Redmond) Holland. William served in the United States Army from 1942 to 1945 in the Mediterranean. Upon his honorable discharge from the Army, he was employed at International Paper Company in Corinth as a machinist. William retired in 1981 after 42 years of service at the mill, where he was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He married Hazel Diehl on Jan. 1, 1942, at the Baptist parsonage in Saratoga Springs. He was predeceased by his parents, one brother, Howard Holland; one sister, Jeanette Weiss and a son-in-law, Frank Ferdon. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Hazel Holland; two sons, William Holland and his wife, Cathy, of Corinth, Brian Holland and his wife, Gail, of Corinth; one daughter, Donna Ferdon of Pensacola, Fla.; two sisters, Mildred Niles of Queensbury, Hallanies Aufiero of Pattersonville; five grandchildren, Michael Ferdon, Kenneth Ferdon and his wife, Joni, Bill Holland Jr., Donna Hersey and her husband, Eric, Brian J. Holland and his wife, Rachel; two great-grandchildren, Megan and Katie Hersey. At the family's request, funeral services will be private. Burial will be in Lynnwood Cemetery, Hadley. LaCarte, Gail Leslie Henry PHOENIX, Ariz. * Gail Leslie Henry LaCarte, 46, of Phoenix, Ariz., formerly of Hudson Falls, passed away Sunday, Oct. 30, 2005, after a courageous battle with cancer. Gail was born May 31, 1959, in Glens Falls Hospital. She was a graduate of Glens Falls High School, an employee at C R Bard in Glens Falls and for the past 10 years she was a stock keeper for Honeywell IAC in Phoenix, Ariz. Gail leaves her husband of 22 years, Joseph R. LaCarte Sr.; a son, Joseph R. LaCarte Jr., both of Phoenix, Ariz.; her parents, Kenneth and Mary Dutcher of Spring Hill, Fla.; three brothers: P. Gene Henry and his wife, Rayna, of Gansevoort and their children P. Gene Henry II and his wife, Carrine, Denise Sesselman and her husband, Chad; Glenn Henry of Cohoes and his children, Tonia Balfour and her husband, Craig, Michele Mallory and her husband, Tim, Adam and Rebecca Henry. Gerald Henry of Queensbury and his children, Craig and Todd Henry; two sisters, Genette Henry and her friend, Tim McCarthy, of Las Cruces, N.M., and their children, Shannon, Lyndsay and Sean. Russell FORT EDWARD -- R. Russell Moore, of Fort Edward, died Thursday, Nov. 3, 2005, at Glens Falls Hospital after a brief illness. He is survived by his devoted wife Irene, of 62 years, two loving daughters and sons-in-law, Anne and Richard Carpenter of Eliot, Maine, and Lorraine and Alan Testani of Boca Raton, Fla.; he had four grandchildren whom he was so proud of: Amy Carpenter Landry of South Berwick, Maine, Adele Testani Tongish of Plainview, N.Y., Dr. Jeffrey Moore Testani of Philadelphia, Pa., and Beth Anne Carpenter of Eliot, Maine. He also leaves behind two beloved great-grandchildren, Kayla and Jacob Landry, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Benjamin and Irving, and a sister, Nellie Preseau. The son of Benjamin and Amy Moore, he was a native of Whitehall, but lived in Fort Edward for more than 55 years. Mr. Moore served in the South Pacific in the Navy during World War II. He was very active in community affairs, serving on the Fort Edward Recreation Commission for many years and a member of the Fort Edward Lions Club where he was a past president. He also served in several leadership capacities with the Fort Edward Methodist Church. For many years, he was the proprietor of R. Russell Moore Electric Motors Sales and Service in Glens Falls, N.Y. A private funeral service for family and close friends will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Mason Funeral Home, 18 George St., Fort Ann. Interment will follow at Greenmount Cemetery in Whitehall. Mossing, Lisa Cornell Queensbury -- Lisa Cornell Mossing, 34, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2005, at Glens Falls Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on Aug. 2, 1971, in Glens Falls, the daughter of Sherwood and Sandra (Pratt) Cornell. Lisa was a 1989 graduate of South High, a 1991 graduate of Bay Path College and a 1993 graduate of Castleton State College with a B. S. degree in business administration. She was employed at CIGNA in Hartford, Conn., and MLMIC in Latham as an assistant underwriter until 2002. On July 18, 1997, Lisa married the love of her life and best friend, John Mossing. Her greatest pleasure in life was her family and they enjoyed many vacations together. Lisa felt fortunate that she was able to travel with her daughter, Lauren, to Walt Disney World for the past two years and share many treasured memories. Lisa loved life and when she entered a room, it was like a breath of fresh air. She was blessed with many friends and thought each of their relationships was special. Her unfaltering spirit in the face of adversity was an inspiration to others and she will be greatly missed by all who loved her. In addition to her parents, Lisa is survived by her beloved husband, John Mossing and her cherished daughter, Lauren; a brother, Christopher Cornell and his wife, Jennifer, and their children, Morgan and James, all of Queensbury; her maternal grandmother, Thelma Pratt of South Glens Falls; her father-in-law John Mossing and his wife, Nancy, of Dexter, N.Y.; and her sisters-in-law, Kristen Bauter and her husband, Stacy and their children Lee, Nancy and Anna of Dexter, N.Y. and Ann Russell and her husband, Reb, and their children, Reb, William, and Elizabeth, all of Manlius, N.Y. Phillips, 58, of Countryside Adult Home, Schroon River Road, Warrensburg, passed away Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 2, 2005, at Glens Falls Hospital following a long illness, with his loving family by his side. Born Aug. 1, 1947, in Glens Falls, he was the beloved son of Nora (Mattison) and the late Martin H. Phillips. Shortly after attending Glens Falls High School, he joined the U.S. Navy in 1964 during Viet Nam serving aboard the USS Ingram. He was honorably discharged in 1966. Admiring the beautiful Adirondacks was one of his many enjoyments since he was a nature lover. He also enjoyed crossword puzzles and watching television. Marty had a great sense of humor and was very witty, which we will greatly miss. Survivors include his loving mother, Nora Stark of Glens Falls; one sister, Patricia Leroux and her husband, Thomas, of Queensbury; two nephews, Matt Leroux and his wife, Lisa, of Queensbury, and Mike Leroux and his wife, Vicki, of Glens Falls; two nieces, Lisa Rojeski and her husband, Steve, of Gansevoort, and Traci Fayette and her husband, Patrick, of Glens Falls; also several great-nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends. Born on April 5, 1933, in Mount Kisco, N.Y., Mary was the daughter of the late Edmund and Mary (Collins) Liston. She graduated from Plattsburgh State University in 1954 with a Bachelor of Science degree. In 1960 her uncle, Bishop Liston, married Mary and Anthony Rozell at St. Francis Church in Mount Kisco. Anthony passed away on Aug. 30, 2000, after 40 years of marriage. Mary was a school nurse/teacher for many years at the South Glens Falls School System, retiring in 1993. She was a communicant of St. Mary's/St. Paul's Church in Hudson Falls. Mary was a lover of life, culture, and people. She made a positive impact on people who met her in all stages of her life. She liked to go places and do things, to learn and discover. She was an explorer -- whether it was to the museums of the Northeast, to Paris, Italy or Ireland. Mary played competitive tennis and zipped through her daily 5-mile walks. The great pleasures of her life were spending time with her children and friends. Survivors include her five children: Matthew Rozell and his wife, Laura, of Hartford, Mary Rozell and her husband, William Adams, of New York City, Nora Rozell Thurmond and her husband, Jeb, of Keene, N.H., Ned Rozell and his wife, Kristen, of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Drew Rozell of Hebron; her two brothers, William Liston of Indiana and Edward Liston and his wife, Judy, of Maine; her two sisters, Frances Liston of Goshen and Kathleen Morrison and her husband, Jim, of Albany; her eight grandchildren, Emma Rozell, Ned Rozell, Mary Rozell, Samuel Adams, Luke Thurmond, Calvin Thurmond, Kelly Thurmond and Grethe Thurmond; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Lake Luzerne -- Patricia R. Sebald, age 66, of Chuckwagon Trail, died Wednesday evening, Nov. 2, 2005, at Glens Falls Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. Born on Jan. 16, 1939, in Corinth, she was the daughter of Joanna (Mann) Paul and the late Henry Paul. Pat earned her bachelor's of education in registered nursing from Plattsburgh State University in 1961. She married Donald J. Sebald on Aug. 26, 1961, at Rockwell Falls Presbyterian Church, Lake Luzerne. Pat was employed as a school nurse at Hadley Luzerne Central School for many years prior to her retirement in 1995. She was a member of Rockwell Falls Presbyterian Church serving as Sunday school teacher for more than 25 years as well as a volunteer at the Powers Maxfield Thrift Shop. She was a member of Alpha Delta Theta Sorority. Pat enjoyed reading and gardening. Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Donald J. Sebald; her mother, Joanna Paul of Malta, Mont.; two sisters, SueAnn Solberg and her husband, Arthur, Maralee Robinson and her husband, James, all of Malta, Mont.; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. There are no public calling hours scheduled. A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Rockwell Falls Presbyterian Church, with the Very Rev. William Love officiating. Friends are invited to gather in the Jeffers memorial room of the church following the service for fellowship. Private burial will be in Bolton Rural Cemetery, Bolton Landing.
