"Dot" HUDSON FALLS -- Dorothy A. "Dot" Bromley, 78, of Meadow Road, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2005, at her home, after a short illness. Born on Jan. 24, 1927, in Temple, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Manor Doc and Eula Kelley. On May 18, 1945, Dot married Nelson Bromley at Fort Hood, Texas. She enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family. Dot would like her family and friends to remember her with love and fond memories. Survivors include her loving husband of 60 years, Nelson R. Bromley of Hudson Falls; her two daughters, Carol A. Stuerwald and her husband, David, of West Jefferson, N.C. , and Cynthia J. Guardiola and her husband, Curtis, of Queensbury; her son, Ricky N. Bromley and his wife, Christina, of Hudson Falls; her six grandchildren; her nine great-grandchildren; her sister, Wanda Carter of Temple, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be private. Burial will be at Moss Street Cemetery, in the town of Kingsbury, at the convenience of the family. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to Hospice of Washington County, 415 Lower Main St., Hudson Falls, NY 12839. Butler, 99, of Broad Street, and most recently of Eden Park Health Care Center, passed away Wednesday evening, Aug. 31, 2005, surrounded by her loving family. Born Dec. 9, 1905, in Milton, Vt., she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. (Phelps) O'Donnell. Nellie married Bert Butler with whom she shares seven children. She was able to remain at home raising her family, and enjoying the chores around the house, in which she took a lot of pride. She loved her cats, family, and grandchildren. She enjoyed listening to the radio, talking with family, playing checkers, and playing board games. Besides her parents, her husband, Bert James Butler, who passed away Jan. 1, 1965; two daughters, Shirley Ann Butler, who passed away May 5, 1949, and Bertha Jane Needham, who passed away Aug. 6, 2003; and three brothers, Richard, George, and John O'Donnell all predeceased her. Survivors include three daughters, Jean O'Donnell of Glens Falls, Jeanette O'Donnell and Lillian Brooks and her husband, Fred, of Springfield, Vt.; two sons, Bert Butler and his wife, Mary, of Glens Falls, and the Rev. George Butler and his wife, Gloria, of San Antonio, Texas.; 16 grandchildren, George Brooks, Melinda Gomez, Carlene Hale, Darcy LaCross, Michael, Steven, Terry, Ricky and Kevin Needham, Eugene, Stephen, Mark, Jerry, Bert III, Lisa, and Jennifer Butler; 27 great- grandchildren, Lisa, George Jr., Angela, Frederick, Lorrie Sue, Matthew, Jacob, Joshua, Sarah, Jeremy, Aubrey, Ashley, Mark Jr., Daniel, David, Alicia, Misty, Heather, Tia, Travis, Stacey, Chanelle, Jacob, Gloria, Cambria, Dylan, and Lauren; and four great-great-grandchildren, Marquis, Tiara, Riana, Kaitlyn. Published in the Post-Star from 9/2/2005 - 9/3/2005. Fredette, Bradley Kirk COSBY, Tenn. -- Bradley Kirk Fredette, 57, of Cosby, Tenn., died Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2005, of heart failure. Brad was born July 15, 1948, at Glens Falls Hospital. He was the son of the late Chester W. Fredette and Alma (Howk) Fredette of Whitehall and Phoenix, Ariz. He graduated from Whitehall Hall School in 1966. Brad married Karen Bowser on July 19, 1974. Brad has one son, Patrick Fahringer of Catawissa, Pa. Bradley was a self-employed business owner, running a restaurant in Hudson Falls, and a landscaping company in Tallahassee, Fla., before settling in Cosby, Tenn., after being disabled by a heart attack. Brad loved life and enjoyed sports, traveling, and his family. In addition to his wife and son, Brad is survived by four siblings, Claire Bethel of Glens Falls, Dennis Fredette and wife, Susan, of Sandy, Utah, Albert E. Fredette and wife, Kay, of Glens Falls, and Bonnie Droddy and husband, David, of Stony Creek. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Rockwell Road, Queensbury, at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2005. Published in the Post-Star from 8/30/2005 - 9/2/2005. Goodhart, Ida L. Wilton, MAINE -- Ida L. Goodhart, 74, of Fuller Street, Wilton, died early Tuesday evening, Aug. 30, 2005, at her home. She was born Sept. 28, 1929, at Lake Luzerne, N.Y., a daughter of Gordon and Lena (Stone) Ramsey. She received her education in New York schools. On June 1, 1952, she married Paul W. Goodhart and they moved to Maine in 1974. Mr. Goodhart died in 1987. Mrs. Goodhart worked at the University of Maine at Farmington Bookstore and also was an active volunteer at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington. She was a member of the Wiltona Club and the Wilton Republican Town Committee where she helped organize the cooking of blueberry cakes for the annual pig roast dinner at the Wilton Blueberry Festival. She enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, and attending lawn sales and flea markets. She is survived by two sons, Ron Goodhart of Farmington and Mike Goodhart and his wife Sally of Lake Luzerne, N.Y.; a sister, Eleanor Ramsey of New York; four grandchildren, Cameron and Chad of Farmington and Justin and Courtney of New York; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four siblings, Harland, Ashley, and Gus Ramsey and Mabelle Barrows. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Wiles Remembrance Center, 136 High St., Wilton, Maine, with the Rev. Roger Chabot officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to call one hour prior to the service. Private interment will be at a later date at Lakeview Cemetery, Wilton, Maine. (Columbia County), died on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005, at her residence surrounded by her loving family after a long illness. She was born on Dec. 9, 1944, in North Adams, Mass., the daughter of the late Oscar and Adrian (Campagna) Duhamel. A resident of Hillsdale for the past 20 years, she graduated from St. Joseph's High School in North Adams, Mass. Mrs. Hanselman, along with her husband and children, owned and operated Taconic Valley Lawn and Garden in Hillsdale for the past 17 years. On Feb. 3, 1968, in North Adams, she married Joseph Hanselman, who survives her at home in Hillsdale. Surviving beside her husband are two daughters, Tracy Hanselman of Hillsdale and Cindy Brazie of New Marlbourough, Mass.; two sons, Joseph Hanselman Jr. of Hillsdale and Guy Hanselman of Copake, N.Y.; also survived by four grandchildren, Michael, Megan, Maxwell and Taylor Hanselman. Additionally, she is survived by a sister and a brother, Jeanne Labonte and Richard Duhamel, both of North Adams. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, 2005, from St. Bridget's Roman Catholic Church, Route 22, Copake Falls, N.Y., with the Rev. Lee Smith officiating. Friends are invited and may call on Friday, Sept. 2, 2005, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Peck and Peck Funeral Home, Route 22, in Copake. Interment will be at New St. Bridget's Cemetery. Born Nov. 16, 1921, in Granville, he was the son of William McKinley and Violet (Benway) Hicks. Mr. Hicks had been employed by Telescope Casual Furniture and Norton Company. He also owned and operated a taxi in Granville. His wife, Martha (Scally) Hicks, died Sept. 14, 1992. Two sons, Ernest Elmer Hicks and Bruce Anthony Hicks; three sisters, Mary Hurley, Margaret Pember, and Harriet Roberts; and one brother, John Hicks, died before him. Survivors include four sons, Willis F. Hicks Jr. and his wife, Janet, of Granville, James William Hicks and his wife, Bea, of Rutland, Vt., Richard Randolf Hicks and his wife, Pam, of Glens Falls, and Edward Arwin Hicks of Granville; three daughters, Shirlee Tanner and her companion, Chriss Mars, of Middle Granville, Monica Carroll and her husband, Richard, of Brandon, Vt., and Judy Crossman and her husband, Willis, of Wells, Vt.; two sisters, Laura Edwards and Ethel Croff, both of Bennington, Vt.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Robert M. King Funeral Home, 23 Church St., Granville, with the Rev. Donald Pepper officiating. Taylor, Beryl Meyers VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -- Beryl Meyers Taylor of Virginia Beach, Va., with her children and grandchildren near, passed away Sunday, Aug. 21, 2005, after a courageous battle with cancer. Beryl was born Dec. 4, 1929, in Syracuse, to Lucille Beryl Meyers and William Wyckoff Meyers. She worked a variety of jobs and enjoyed the family antique business. She also worked in the hotel restaurant business, as well as the travel industry. Beryl loved to travel, collecting antiques, reading books, needlepoint, making her bears and painting. Beryl had a vast knowledge of history and also family genealogy. Survivors include her daughters: Grace Harper Taylor of Virginia Beach, Va., Laura Taylor Phillips of Fort Edward, Griebe Van Ness Taylor of Queensbury and Rebecca LaGrange of Utah; one son, ZanPieterson Vandeventer Taylor and his wife, Janet Marie, and their two daughters, Abigail Marie Taylor and CarolAnn Marie Taylor, all of Wharton, N.J.; and lastly her beloved dog, Schatze. Arrangements were made by Colonial Crematorium and burial will be at the discretion of the family at St. Joseph's Episcopal Church in Concordville, Pa.
