He was the widower of Julia Fedory, who died in 2004, and the father of William Fedory. Arrangements are pending, under the direction of Ackley & Ross Funeral Home. "Teeny" Gray, 79, of Eddy Street, died on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2005, at Glens Falls Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born on Sept. 24, 1925, in Fort Edward, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Mary (Connolly) Ives. Teeny graduated from Fort Edward High School in the class of 1944. Ernestine married the late George Gray on Oct. 15, 1949, at St. Joseph's Church, Fort Edward. Teeny was employed for many years as court clerk, for the village and town of Fort Edward, and was a matron of the Fort Edward Police Department. In retirement, she always enjoyed riding in parades with the lead police car. She loved spending time with her family and friends, having parties at her daughter's property on the river, and traveling. Teeny was a member of the Police Benevolent Association, the Glens Falls Hospital Guild, and a communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Fort Edward, where she was a religious education teacher for many years. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her granddaughter, Paige Lane Gray, and her brothers, Raymond, Lawrence, and Harold Ives. Survivors include her daughter, Colleen Massa and her husband, Mario, of Fort Edward; her sons, Michael Gray and his wife, Kim, of Queensbury, and Patrick Gray, of Gansevoort; her grandchildren: Jill Massa, of Gansevoort, Marisa Massa of Cookville, Tenn., Michael Gray, of Queensbury, and Parker Gray of Sparta, Tenn.; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Maier, Evelyn J. QUEENSBURY -- Evelyn J. Maier, 67, of Montray Road, went into the arms of the Lord on Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 7, 2005, at Glens Falls Hospital following a long illness. Born May 27, 1938, in Jersey City, N.J., she was the daughter of the late George and Ada (Rapp) Ostrander. While attending Good Shepherd Methodist Church in Bergenfield, N.J., she met and later married Gerald B. Maier on Nov. 7, 1981, in that same church. For 18 years, she worked as an order clerk at Scholastics Magazines in Englewood Cliffs, N.J., until the company relocated, allowing Evelyn to stay at home tending to domestic duties. Evelyn enjoyed singing. She was very active in her churches, where she sang in the choir, often performing solos. She enjoyed working in her garden, cooking and baking, especially blueberry muffins, and caring for her dog, "Celeste," whom she loved dearly and who misses her tremendously. She also enjoyed going for nice relaxing rides, touring the beautiful countryside. Above all, she loved people. She was gifted with a very compassionate personality. Caring for her loving husband and her beloved dog truly were the light of her life, along with caring for her aunt, and her sister, who both lived with Evelyn and her husband for many years. Besides her parents, and many aunts and uncles, one sister, Marie Mc Craw, predeceased her. Survivors include her loving husband, Gerald "Jerry" Maier, of Queensbury; her dog, "Celeste;" one sister, Dolores Bell and her husband, Ed, of Glens Falls; four brothers: Alfred Ostrander and his wife, Mildred, of Pennsylvania, Ronald Ostrander and his wife, Betty, of New Jersey, Harry Ostrander and his wife, Marilyn, of Pennsylvania, and Bruce Ostrander and his wife, Mary, of southern New York; one aunt, Jane Ostrander, of Florida; also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. Friends may call upon the family Sunday, Sept. 11, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7 p.m. at Maynard D. Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury. Born June 4, 1924, in Woodstock, Vt., he was the son of Arden and Elizabeth Pellow Potter. He went to college at Brockport State Teachers College, Brockport, N.Y. William served in the Coast Guard from Aug. 27, 1942 to May 23, 1945. He was known as Pardner, Bill, and Uncle Art to his family and friends. He wanted people to remember him for his teaching and travels. He wrote a book on golf, "Swing Your Own Swing," and touched so many people in his life. We will all remember him. Survivors include a daughter, Betty Ostrander, and her husband, Thomas, of Crestview, Fla.; a son, William Potter Jr. of Crestview, Fla.; grandsons: Robert Cliff and his wife, Margie, Kevin Cliff and his wife, Leslie, Michael Gardner, Gary Potter and his wife, Lisa, and David Potter and his wife, Melissa. Raymond III, Noah Joseph "Newy" DRESDEN -- Noah "Newy" Joseph Raymond III, 49, of Pike Brook Road, was taken into the arms of the Lord to be with his mother, Ursula, on Friday, Sept. 9, 2005. Born on Dec. 23, 1955, in Whitehall, he was the son of Noah J. Raymond Jr. and the late Ursula (Hayes) Holcomb. Noah married Esther Manor on April 28, 1979. They celebrated and enjoyed 26 years together. They resided in Pike Brook, where Noah grew up and where they enjoyed their home with family and friends, especially their grandchildren. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy on the USS Saratoga during the Vietnam War. Noah had been an employee for the town of Dresden Highway Department. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 83 of Whitehall, and was a member of the Dresden Fire Co. Papa had many special times with his grandchildren, his NASCAR trips with Shane, fishing and canoeing with Ryan, and eating ice cream and gardening with his girls, Shayla, Brielle and Hannah. Noah enjoyed country music, motorcycles, camping, fishing, working in his garage and his most memorable trip was to Nashville with his wife for their 25th anniversary. He was a strong, caring, good friend to all, especially his good friends, Joanne and Chris Eagan, his special aunt and uncle, Marion and Maynard Rushia, and several nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law. Besides his father, Noah J. Raymond Jr. of Clemons, and his wife, Esther Raymond, of Clemons, he is survived by his son, Noah Raymond IV and his girlfriend, Diana, of Whitehall; two daughters, Brenda Burke and her husband, Patrick, of Saratoga, and Serena Putorti of Whitehall; grandchildren: Shane Bennett, Ryan Putorti, Shayla Burke, Brielle Burke and Hannah Raymond; three brothers: Michael Downey and his wife, Marion, of Whitehall, Fred Raymond and his wife, Kym, of Whitehall, and Edwin Raymond and his wife, Kim, of Clemons; two sisters, Tina Taylor and her husband, James, of Crown Point, and Michelle Therrian and her husband, Dave, of Whitehall. Noah will be greatly missed by all and cherished and loved by most. Until we see you again, we love you forever, husband, dad, Papa, son, brother, uncle, friend and nephew. Skoda, Anthony W. WILTON -- Mr. Anthony W. Skoda, 83, formerly of Chestertown, most recently a resident of Wilton, died Friday, Sept. 9, 2005, at Wesley Health Care Center in Saratoga Springs. Born Nov. 16, 1921, in Johnstown, he was the son of John and Pauline Skoda. He was a veteran of World War II and served in Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. Anthony retired from General Telephone Co. after 30 years of employment. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Frances S. Skoda; two daughters, Judith Brunner and her husband, George, of Saratoga Springs, and MaryAnn Nellis of Canajoharie; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister; Pauline Lorence, of Johnstown, and nieces and nephews. Born in Baltimore, Md., on Jan. 22, 1932, he was the son of the late Donald and Laura (McCarthy) Spaulding. Don was a graduate of West Catholic High School and Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pa. On Oct. 10, 1971, he married Mary Smythe of Fort Edward. Don retired from the New York State Tax Department. He also retired from the U.S. Army and National Guard after 30 years of service. He was a communicant of Corpus Christi Church in Usher, where he was a member of the homebound ministry and an usher. Don enjoyed reading and riding his bike. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his twin brother, John Spaulding. Survivors include his wife, Mary (Smythe) Spaulding, of Ballston Lake; two sisters, Mary McNichol and her husband, Thomas, of Pennsylvania, and Ann Tanner and her husband, Walter of Florida; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
