Jerry was born Dec. 9, 1943, in Glens Falls Hospital. He was the son of Davis C. and Ruth E. (Mann) Bearor. He attended Fort Ann Central School and was a milk tester for Washington County. Jerry went into the military, serving in the Air Force as a radar technician from 1961 to 1965. He was a retired Verizon employee working as a technician. He was well respected by his co-workers because he was always willing to help them out whenever they needed help. Jerry is best remembered as loving life and living it to the fullest. If there was a good time to be had, he was there. Jerry was a gentle giant whose greatest gift was to do things for others, never taking payment for what he did and never looking for anything in return. He was the type of person who would put his hand in his pocket and give you his last penny. He would laugh with you and cry with you. He did so much for so many. He was the kind of person you would want for a friend. Jerry is survived by his wife, Anne Gormely Bearor; his son, Brian Bearor and wife, Cathy, and granddaughters, Elizabeth and Caroline; his son, Matthew Bearor and wife, Debbie, and grandson, Brandon and granddaughter, Payton; a stepson, Kurt Gilman whom he thought of as a son. He is also survived by a sister, Juanita Haviland; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. At Jerry's request, there will be no calling hours and a private service will be for the family only. Published in the Post-Star on 9/17/2005. Brady, Thomas J. "Tucker" Queensbury -- Thomas J. "Tucker" Brady, 61, of Baybrook Drive, died unexpectedly Friday, Sept. 16, 2005. Born in Glens Falls, on Feb. 9, 1944, he was the son of the late William and Rita (Murphy) Brady Sr. Tucker was a graduate of Fort Edward High School Class of 1961, and SUNY at Plattsburgh Class of 1965. After college, Tucker taught fourth grade at Tanglewood Elementary School in South Glens Falls. He remained there until his retirement in 2000. He was a former member of the Glens Falls Elks and a member of the Fort Edward Idle Hour Club. Tucker loved sports and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Notre Dame Fighting Irish fan. He had a great sense of humor and a very giving heart. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews, who affectionately called him "Grandpa Tucker." Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Suellen Brady, and two brothers, William Brady Jr. and James Brady. Survivors include five sisters: Mary Esperti and her husband, Dave, of Schenectady, Patricia Gregory and her husband, Dave, of Queensbury, Carolyn Kelly and her husband, John, of Enfield, Conn., Colleen Winfield and her husband, Richard, of Phoenix, Ariz., and Carol VanAernem and her husband, George, of Liverpool, N.Y.; nieces and nephews, Matt, Joe and Tom Gregory, Brian, Nancy and Mark Esperti, Erin, Eric, Bryan and Megan Kelly, Lisa and Ryan Winfield, and Kathy, Tim and Kim Van Aernem and Ann and Paul Brady; and many, many friends. Published in the Post-Star from 9/17/2005 - 9/18/2005. Bremer Jr., Gustav H. Queensbury -- Gustav H. Bremer Jr., 42, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2005, unexpectedly at his home in Queensbury. Born on March 26, 1963, at Oceanside Hospital, he was the son of Gustav H. and Laurel (Conlon) Bremer Sr. of Bridgehamptom. He enjoyed snowmobiling and ATVs as well as vacationing in Lake George and attending car races at Englishtown, N.J. Gustav spent the last 20 years as a salesman for American Specialty in Happague, and Valley Van in Valley Stream. He worked as a computer consultant for many companies throughout New York and New England before moving to Queensbury. Survivors besides his parents include his wife, Krystyna Wozniak; a son, Gustav (G3), and a stepdaughter, Monica, all of Queensbury; two brothers, Carl Bremer of Bridgehampton and Erich Bremer and his wife, Diane, of Yaphank; a sister, Lisa Alpert and her husband, Michael, of Johnston, R.I.; nieces, Hayley and Katelyn Bremer and Emma Alpert, his maternal grandmother, Grace Conlon of Spanish Forks, Utah and many other loved ones. A funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m., on Sunday, Sept. 18, 2005, at Regan & Denny Funeral Home, 53 Quaker Road, Queensbury. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Donovan, Timothy J. "Bebo" ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Timothy J. "Bebo" Donovan, 53, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, Sept. 11, 2005, as a result of being struck fatally by a car. Born Nov. 1, 1951, in Glens Falls, he was the son of Louise Graves and the late Robert J. Donovan. He was a graduate of South Glens Falls High School. Timothy was a member of the Catholic faith. He loved the outdoors, and his animals. Timothy was a former junior member of the Moreau Emergency Squad. He was predeceased by his infant son, Sean Donovan, his father, Robert J. Donovan, his stepfather, Harry Graves, and his sister-in-law, Shelly Donovan. Besides his mother, he is survived by his four children: James Donovan of San Francisco, Calif., Jessica Donovan of Glens Falls, Cassidy Donovan of Albuquerque, N.M., and Kevin Donovan of Albuquerque, N.M.; two brothers, Charles Donovan of Hartford and Richard Donovan of Glens Falls; two sisters, Barbara (Mike) Kramer of Fayetteville, N.C., and Phyllis Moffitt of Gansevoort; several nieces and nephews, one great-nephew; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Drake, Devin Bradley HUDSON FALLS -- Devin Bradley Drake, 17, died unexpectedly on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2005, in Hudson Falls. Brad was born in Lexington, Va., on Oct. 12, 1987. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Drake. He attended Hudson Falls Schools and received his GED. Brad enjoyed music, football, Play Station games with his brother, and watching over his little sister. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. Robert Drake; his sister, Cassandra; his brother, Dakota; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Risser, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Drake, and Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Stanton; also several aunts, uncles, and cousins. A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2005, at Hudson Falls United Methodist Church, 227 Main St., Hudson Falls, with the Rev. David Lefurgey officiating. McMurray, Charles William "Chuck" SCHENECTADY -- Charles "Chuck" William McMurray, 77, a resident of Schenectady, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2005, at the Stratton Veterans Hospital in Albany, N.Y., following a long illness. Born April 19, 1928, in Amsterdam, N.Y., he was the son of Isabelle and Charles H. McMurray and the foster son of Mrs. Cora O'Brien of Hudson Falls. Chuck was in the Army from 1951 to 1954 and was in the Korean conflict. He then enlisted in the Air Force from 1954 to 1958 and during that time was stationed on Johnston Island, Hawaii and Plattsburgh Air Force Base. He married Alfreda R. Teetsell on Feb. 18, 1955, at the Philmont Reformed Church. They lived in Plattsburgh, Colonie and Philmont and he spent his career in the Postal Service in sales. Chuck was a member of DAV 88, the VFW No. 357, the American Legion of Schenectady and the Elks in Rotterdam. He enjoyed bowling and going to car races. He also loved to participate in and watch all kinds of sports. Besides his parents and his foster mother, he was predeceased by a son; Stephen John McMurray, and a sister, Eileen McMurry Sawtell. Survivors besides his wife of 50 years, include one daughter, Charlene McMurray Kostka of Fonda; three sons, Kevin W. and Gene A. McMurray of Schenectady, and Chris P. McMurray of Catskill. He is also survived by several in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, great- nieces and great-nephews and 10 grandchildren. Graveside services, with full military honors, will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2005, at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. He was born on Dec. 31, 1944, in Schenectady, the son of the late Howard G. Osterhaudt Jr. and Jane A. Jones. He loved his family, the outdoors, fly-tying, fly fishing in the Mettowee River and the Salmon River in Pulaski and was an avid chess player. Survivors include three sons, Josh Osterhaudt of Queensbury, Jason Osterhaudt of Belcher, and Howard G. "Ben" Osterhaudt IV of Salem; two daughters, Amy Osterhaudt of Salem and Marcy Osterhaudt of Greenwich; his special friend, May Thomas; his sister, Kathy Guy-VanGuilder of Rindge, N.H.; two grandchildren, Kayleigh Osterhaudt and Chase Brockway; a niece, Chrisdiona Clarke; and a nephew, Michael Guy. Peterson, Robert Putnam Station -- Robert Peterson, 74, of Putnam Station, died at the Moses Ludington Hospital, Ticonderoga, on Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2005. He was born on Oct. 9, 1930, in Putnam Station, the son of Nelson and Ellen Pearl (Lillie) Peterson. Robert was a member of the Putnam Volunteer Fire Company and a former chief of the department, a logger and construction worker and was employed by Putnam Highway Department until he retired. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Helen Lethbridge. Robert is survived by one sister, Pearl Chadwick and her husband, Glen, of Putnam Station; one brother, John Peterson and his wife, Ann, of Ticonderoga. He is also survived by four nephews, Lewis Chadwick of Putnam Station; John Peterson of Michigan, Nelson Lethbridge of Ticonderoga, and James Lethbridge of Long Island; one niece, Susan Barber of Ticonderoga; his former wife, Leslie Paterson of Putnam Station; and his faithful dog, Copper. Smith, 96, of Fort Hudson Nursing Home, passed away peacefully Thursday, Sept. 15, 2005, with her Angel by her side. Born Aug. 13, 1909, in Wevertown, N.Y., she was the daughter of Merton and Jenny (Parker) Corlew. She married the late William Smith of North River, N.Y. who ran the river drive for Finch Pruyn. Clara was a very caring and giving person who treasured life, her family and her friends. Throughout all of her years, she touched the lives of so many. She opened her home freely to anyone in need. She gave courage, strength and wisdom, and from her heart, she gave love. She so truly enjoyed the holidays, and she showed the beauty of the season, but it was everyday she showed the meaning. Clara will always be loved and remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Besides her parents and husband, Clara was predeceased by her daughter, Betty, her daughter, Janice, her son, Gerald, her son, Billy, and her daughter, Madeline. Also her brothers, Lawrence Corlew, Curt Corlew, Lee Corlew and his wife, Hazel, Micky Corlew, Leonard Corlew, and her sister, Sally Crossman. She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Redmond and her husband, Lindy, of South Glens Falls, her daughter, Wenona Smith of Fort Edward, her daughter, Evelyn Thomas and her husband, Harold, of Queensbury, her son, David Smith and his wife, Ruthie, of Florida; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Harold Corlew of Queensbury; and her sister, Ruthie Perkins of Crown Point, three sisters-in-law which were like her own sisters, Mary Corlew, Marie Corlew and Marylou Donlon, many nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, 2005, at Christ Church United Methodist, 54 Bay St., Glens Falls with the Rev. Arthur Hagy, former pastor, officiating. Spengler, 89, of Cossayuna and formerly of Glens Falls, died unexpectedly Thursday, Sept. 15, 2005, at Glens Falls Hospital. Born on March 17, 1916, in Carthage, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late George Nelson and Emily Elizabeth Cardinal. Helen was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Greenwich Chapter. She enjoyed volunteering for the Salvation Army, drawing and animals. Besides her parents and a brother, she was also predeceased by her husband, Reginald Spengler in 1987. Survivors include her friends, Harry LeBarron, Michael Carota and Gail and Tom.
