CORINTH -- Sandra M. Harran, 67, of Oak Street, died Sunday, Sept. 18, 2005, at Albany Medical Center following a short illness. Born on Feb. 1, 1938, in Corinth, she was the only daughter of Charles Brady of Corinth and the late Alice (Melvin) Brady. She was also predeceased by her stepmother, Dorothy (Ames) Brady. Mrs. Harran graduated from Corinth High School in 1955. She married Richard B. Harran on May 18, 1957, in Corinth. The couple resided on Oak Street in Corinth for many years. He died Dec. 26, 2001, following 43 years of marriage. Mrs. Harran was first employed at Hudson River Credit Union in Corinth for numerous years and then worked as an administrative assistant in the library at Skidmore College until her retirement. She was an active communicant of the Church of the Immaculate Conception of Corinth for many years and served as a volunteer at the Corinth Free Library for several years. Mrs. Harran enjoyed traveling with her husband, activities with her friends, and time spent with her son, Patrick. Survivors besides her father include one son, Patrick G. Harran and his wife, Susan, of Dallas, Texas; one aunt, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 23, at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 409 Palmer Ave., Corinth, with the Rev. Charles Gaffigan, pastor, officiating. A Rite of Committal will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery, Corinth. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Densmore Funeral Home, Inc., 7 Sherman Ave., Corinth. Morris, Robert James SARATOGA -- Robert James Morris, 88, of Saratoga, passed away Friday, Sept. 16, 2005, at Saratoga Hospital Nursing Home. Born Nov. 18, 1916, in New York City, he was the son of the late David Morris and Catherine (Reynolds) Morris. Robert was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theatre from 1942 through 1945. He was employed with American Airlines, and as a manager at Asquith, Inc. in Westbury, N.Y., for many years. He also worked for European American Bank. Robert was an avid reader and gardener and enjoyed doing mechanical and electrical work. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Frances (Wulfhop) Morris, who died in December of 2000. Survivors include his daughters: Eileen Stuart and her husband, George, of Queensbury, Patricia Gutierrez and her husband, James, of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., and Jean Morris and her husband, Christopher King, of Hilo, Hawaii; his sister, Grace Tedeschi, and a brother, David Morris, both of Florida. Robert had eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m.Wednesday, Sept. 21, at Our Lady of Annunciation Church, Aviation Road, Queensbury. Burial will follow at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville. No calling hours are scheduled. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Crandall Public Library, 251 Glen St., Glens Falls, NY 12801. Walkinshaw Jr., 69, of Zephyrhills, Fla., died Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2005, at his residence. He was born Feb. 26, 1936, in Troy, and had lived in Zephyrhills, Fla., for 16 years, moving there from South Glens Falls. Mr. Walkinshaw was a computer manager. After retiring he became the postmaster at Neukoms Drug Store in Zephryhills, where he worked for 12 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus, a member of the Italian American Club in Zephyrhills, and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Walkinshaw is survived by his wife of 45 years, Marilyn, of Zephyrhills, Fla.; his children, A.J. Walkinshaw of Central Valley, N.Y., and Cynthia Walkinshaw of Albany; two sisters, Ellen Walkinshaw of Scotia and JoAnn LaFlanne of Schenectady; and two grandchildren. He will be inurned at a later date at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville. In lieu of flowers,the family requests that donations be made in his memory to the Hernando-Pasco Hospice, 7066 Fort King Road, Zephyrhills, FL 33541.
