LAKE LUZERNE -- Ruth B. Andrus, age 81, of Lake Avenue, passed away Sunday, Sept. 18, 2005, at 9:20 p.m. at Glens Falls Hospital with her loving family at her side. Born Jan. 2, 1924, in Proctor, Vt., she was the daughter of the late William and Hazel (Delphi) Monahan. Ruth married Howard Forest Andrus on Feb. 22, 1941, in Corinth. He predeceased her. Mrs. Andrus was first and foremost a full-time loving great-grandmother to Danny "Boy," shown in her picture. Her career started as a postal worker for the United States Post Office in Corinth, and she also worked in various food service related businesses. She was a member of the Tri-Town Senior Citizens in Lake Luzerne and the William J. Varney American Legion Post No. 862 of Lake Luzerne. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two brothers, William and Keith Monahan; and several nieces and nephews. Survivors include two daughters, Cherie Andrus Bunzey of Venice, Fla., and Linda Andrus-Austin of Venice, Fla.; one brother, Joseph Monahan and his wife, Barbara, of Sandwich, Mass.; one grandson, Howard J. Bunzey of Shelburne, Vt.; two granddaughters, Tia M. Hollowood and her husband, Jim, of Anchorage, Alaska; her loving caretaker and granddaughter, Lori K. Barber and her husband, Michael, of Greenwich, N.Y.; six great-grandchildren: Danny Michael Barber of Greenwich, Alyssa and Corwin Bunzey of Shelburne, Vt., and Robbie, Toby and Jadon Hollowood of Anchorage, Alaska; three special friends: Wilfred Rowland of Corinth, Fred Austin, her loving caretaker, of Lake George, and Roland Stimpson of Venice, Fla. There are no services at the respected request of the deceased. Burial will be at Gerald B H Soloman Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville at a later date. Brauns, Jeannie Jardine BROADALBIN, N.Y. -- Jeannie Jardine Brauns, age 76, of Broadalbin, N.Y., passed away Friday, Sept. 16, 2005. Jeannie was born Dec. 17, 1928, in Trenton, N.J. She graduated from Rider College and then worked for the state of New York. Jeannie is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, R. William Brauns; children: Heather Jean Crampton and her husband, David, of Savannah, Ga., Charlene Brauns-Schindler and her husband, Edmund, of Fairfield, Conn., Richard Brauns and his wife, Pam, of Hudson Falls, and David Brauns of Sedalia, Colo.; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Archie Jardine and his wife, Dorothy, of Trenton, N.J.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held at a future date in Broadalbin. Published in the Post-Star on 9/21/2005. DiLorenzo, Timothy M. CORINTH -- Timothy M. DiLorenzo, 43, of Mosher Road, died unexpectedly, Sunday, Sept. 18, 2005, as a result of heart failure. Born on Dec. 20, 1961, in Corinth, he was the son of the late Dominic Jr. and Loretta (LeClair) DiLorenzo. Mr. DiLorenzo attended Corinth High School. He married Toni L. Yannaci on July 18, 1998, in Lake George. The couple had resided together for many years in Corinth. Mr. DiLorenzo was employed at C.B.M. Fabrication in Ballston Lake for several years. He currently owned and operated Tim DiLorenzo's Auto Sales in Corinth. Mr. DiLorenzo was an avid outdoor enthusiast, enjoying hunting, boating, automobiles, motorcycles, and snowmobiles. He was a family man who lived life to the fullest. Survivors besides his wife include one daughter, Chantal DiLorenzo of Corinth; one son, ICFN Catlin DiLorenzo, USN, of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; one granddaughter, Alexandria Clark of Corinth; five sisters: Victoria Orto and her husband, David, of Rochester, Kathy Daily of Corinth, Bonnie Vincent and her husband, Joe, of Lake Luzerne, Tina Babin and her husband, Brad, of Fredericksburg, Va., and Donita Nordland and her husband, Gene, of Corinth; one brother, SKC SW/AW Dominic DiLorenzo III and his wife, Melissa, of Ashby, Mass.; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, at Densmore Funeral Home, Inc., 7 Sherman Ave., Corinth. A Rite of Committal will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery, Corinth. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family suggests that memorials take the form of donations to the American Heart Association, Northeastern Area, 440 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205-3890. Ely Jr., 79, loving husband of the late Ursula Martin Ely, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2005, at St. Mary's Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Paul was born in Hebron, the son of the late Paul Frank Ely and Martha Arabella Dennison Ely. He was educated at Salem Central School. Paul was employed for 35 years as a machine operator and safety man for Norton/Nashua Co. in Watervliet, retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, and a member of the Troy Elks. Paul enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed camping and working in his yard taking care of his flowers. He got great pleasure from a trip to Ireland with his wife of 38 years. Besides his parents and wife, Paul was predeceased by his oldest daughter, Ann Marie Ely; two sisters, Frances Pangmon and Eleanor Ely; and three brothers, John Jay Ely, Malcolm Ely, and Walter Ely. He was the devoted father to Nora Bogardus (Sonny) of Argyle, Shawn Jones (Dennis) of Brunswick, MaryAnn Richichi (Carman) of Troy, Paul F. Ely III (Pam) of Brunswick, and Erin Ely of Cohoes. Paul also was loved by 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Paul was the brother to Mary Morehouse of Argyle, Doris Smith of Eagle Mills, Joan McClenning of West Granville, Joyce Rudd of Whitehall and Wallace Ely of Kennewick, Wash.; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at William Leahy Funeral Home, 336 3rd St., Troy, and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Family and friends are invited and may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
