Glens Falls -- Donald S. Carlisle, 88, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2005, at Glens Falls Hospital. Born on May 31, 1917, in Glens Falls, he was the son of Samuel and Ada Carlisle. He retired from Stewart's Dairy and Delong Dairy. Prior to his retirement, he worked for Imperial Color. Donald was an honorary member of the Salmon Pond Hunting and Fishing Club. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Edith A. (Antonsen) Carlisle on Sept. 6, 1994, and by his sister, Margaret LaCrosse. Survivors include his sisters-in-law, Ruth Dumas of South Glens Falls, Stella Couglar of Hudson Falls and Thelma Edgerly of Fort Edward; his brother-in-law, Elmer Antonsen and his wife, Hannelore, of Illinois and several nieces and nephews. The funeral services are private and at the convenience of family. Burial will be at Southside Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Campbell Chase, 77, of Queensbury and formerly of Schenectady, died Sunday, Sept. 25, 2005, at Glens Falls Hospital. Born in Little Ferry, N.H., Doris was the daughter of the late Gustav and Anna Kaufmann. A homemaker, she was a former nurse's aide and a receptionist for The Schenectady Gazette. Doris was also a former Girl Scout leader and member of the Carmen United Methodist Church. She was predeceased by her husbands, William Campbell and Harold Chase; and a son, William Campbell. Survivors include two daughters, Cindy A. Bardsley of Granville and Christine Campbell of Porters Corners; a sister, Kay Jankis of Kreegeville, Pa.; four grandchildren, Michael Campbell, Amber Bardsley, Matthew Bardsley, and Russell Bardsley and a great-granddaughter, Nicole Campbell. A graveside funeral service will be held at Memory's Garden Cemetery in Colonie, N.Y. at 11 a.m. Wednesday. There will be no calling hours by request. Gradwell, 58, of state Route 9, passed away Sunday, Sept.25, 2005, while running his seventh Adirondack Marathon in Schroon Lake. Born Jan. 2, 1947, in Philadelphia, Pa., he was the son of Claire Greene and the late Samson Gradwell. After graduating from Norristown High School in Pennsylvania, Ted attended Temple University and Montgomery Community College. Obtaining a degree in Computer Science, he was employed by various organizations as a computer engineer. Ted is survived by his wife, Nancy Hughes Gradwell; his children, Lisa Cressman, Keith Gradwell and Lori Gradwell; his brother, Mark Gradwell. Friends may call on the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. Private family services will be conducted on Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Bowman of the Mountainside Bible Chapel in Schroon Lake officiating. Published in the Post-Star on 9/27/2005. Innace, Caroline A. Glens Falls -- Caroline A. Innace, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2005, at Glens Falls Hospital after a brief illness. Born on May 28, 1946, in Jamaica, N.Y., she was the daughter of Walter and Josephine (Hulse) Logue Almosnino. Caroline was a member of St. Mary's Church in Glens Falls and supported local monasteries. She attended Adirondack Community College and was proud of her achievement of placement on the Dean's List. Caroline worked in the medical billing department of Irongate Center for Dr. Petracca. She enjoyed shopping, gardening, knitting and crocheting, photography and was an avid reader. Caroline especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her uncle, Roy Hulse. Survivors include her children, Thomas Innace and his wife, Kelly, of Scotia, Frank Innace and his wife, Susan, of Warrensburg, Connie Perrelli and her husband, Anthony, of Glens Falls; her ex-husband, Thomas Innace of Warrensburg; her grandchildren, Michael Winchell, Gabriel Innace, Nicole Mason, Samantha Miner, Kaitlyn Innace, Lyssa Innace, Rachael Innace, Collin Perrelli, Micaela Perrelli and William Perelli; her brothers and sisters, John Logue and his wife, Patricia, of Kings Park, N.Y., Joanne VanDuersen of Riparius, N.Y., Truddie Comstock and her husband, Fred, of Queensbury, Val Almosnino and his wife, Wanda, of West Rupert, Vt., and Marie Almosnino of North Carolina; nieces and nephews, Dawn Prisco and her husband, Frank, John Logue and his wife, Sue, Paul Logue and his wife, Jesse, Theresa Rowe and her significant other, Sean Fell, Ashley Comstock, Kimberly Comstock, Jessie Almosnino, Annie Granger, Bo Joseph Bannon, Raymond Morris, Teeger Morris, Tiffany Morris and Jonathan Morris; one great- granddaughter; four grandnieces and nephews, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Orcutt, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2005, at the age of 94, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born in Glens Falls on Oct. 2, 1910, to the late C. Henry and Beatrice Barnes Lord. Erma graduated from Glens Falls High School in 1928. After graduation, she worked for the Glens Falls Insurance Company, and on July 22, 1929, she married the late Melvin N. Orcutt. They moved to Cooperstown, N.Y., and lived there for 10 years before returning to the Glens Falls area. Dr. Raymond L. Rhodes, OB/GYN, and a former high school classmate, asked Erma if she would work for him. She accepted and was in charge of the office for more than 30 years. While working as a medical secretary, she was a charter member of the Adirondack Medical Assistants and held the office of president. She enjoyed working in the medical field and with people. Erma had a great sense of humor and always looked for the positive in others. She was a former Girl Scout leader; taught Sunday School and was a member of the former St. Timothy's Episcopal Church and its vestry, and recently a member of the Church of the Messiah. Erma was also a member of the Eastern Star. Erma loved to go for rides and to travel. While her husband was alive they traveled across the country. She had been to every state but Alaska. As a family, they enjoyed many vacations in Maine, North Carolina, Florida, and spending time with close friends, the Stevens Family in Alabama. She was always ready to go. The family often took day trips to Wells, Maine She enjoyed nature and watching the geese migrate, and she was especially fond of her pet cats. Erma was a very caring, thoughtful and giving person. She treasured life, her family and friends. She touched many lives throughout her years, and opened her home to anyone in need. She gave strength, wisdom and courage, and from her heart she gave love. She loved holidays and get-togethers with friends and family. Above all, she loved to cook and feed people. She was very generous and gave all she could to everyone, and she lived every day with loved and devotion to others. She especially loved all of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all extended family members. Erma was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Melvin, to whom she was married to for nearly 53 years. Melvin died on July 3, 1982 at the age of 72. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Carolyn O. Thomson and her husband, Cleon A. Thomson, and a son-in-law, Carl A. Rabideau. Two brothers, Lynn Lord and Clark Lord; a niece, Lois Lord Breason, also died before her. She is survived by two daughters, Virginia O. Rabideau of Gansevoort, Kay O. Gray, and her husband, Jeffrey T. Gray, with whom she resided in South Glens Falls; and a brother, Lewis K. Lord and his friend, Beverly Goldbas, of New Hartford, N.Y. Other survivors are two nieces, Patricia Lord Bardin of Hudson Falls, and Susan Lord Tyksinski and her husband, Thomas, of Golden, Colo.; two nephews, Stephen Lord and his wife, Cheri of Portsmouth, N.H. and Clark B. Lord. She had seven grandchildren, Connie A. Thomson and her friend Robert St. John of Argyle, N.Y., C. Andrew Thomson and his wife, Kathleen, of Glens Falls, Glen M. Thomson and his wife, Donna, of Fort Edward, Rita Ann R. Weber and her husband Mark, of Rochester, N.Y. Ricky Rabideau and his wife, Wendy, of Kingstown, R.I., Kristen H. West of South Glens Falls, and Jonathan J. Gray and his wife, Jill of Glen Allen, Va. Erma also had 16 great-grandchildren: Lisa H. Lanier and her husband Michael, Eric Holmquist, Sarah Thomson, Alex Thomson, Jason Thomson, Matthew Thomson, Alissa Weber, Kimberly Weber, Shane Rabideau, Brendan Rabideau, Shelby West, Tyler West, Colin Gray, Colleen Gray, Samuel St. John, Francis St. John; and one great-great-grandson, M. Casey Lanier. Erma also is survived by a very special and lifelong friend, Geraldine Stevens and Gerry's son, Gary Stevens and his wife, Gail, and her daughter, Donna Stevens Costa all of Mobile, Ala. Two other special friends, Jane Bergmeier and Agnes Zacharias survive her. Erma appreciated the special care she was given by the Cancer Center in the Pruyn Pavilion, especially Dr. Robert Sponzo, Dr. Aaron Ambrad, Jean VanAuken, Rose Trainor; and the Saratoga County Hospice especially, Carol Marciano, Kathy Watson, Maryann Tyand, and Mark Porter. Erma and Carol developed a special bond and friendship. They shared many laughs together. Hospice continuous care was wonderful to Erma. Appreciation and thanks go to Terri Bravado, Donna Preston, Linda Rector, Ernie Piazza, Jeanette Horan and Lisa Ross. Many thanks to The Church of the Messiah, the Rev. Scott Harding, Janet Papa, Elizabeth Scalero, and Deacon Lawrence Steuer, Sister Sandra Tripp CSJ, Sister Marcia Blair CSJ, and the other sister from the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet and also to Judy Rosebrook for their special prayers and visitations. Erma's request was to not have any calling hours. She would like people to remember her with a smile and happy thoughts. "Dick" Middle Falls -- Richard F. "Dick" Perkins, 70, of Middle Falls, died Sunday night, Sept. 25, 2005, at his residence, surrounded by his family. Dick was born June 10, 1935, in Cambridge, the son of the late Harry and Maude Robinson Perkins. He attended Greenwich Central School and served in the National Guard in Hoosick Falls. Dick worked for the Robert Shaw Construction Co., the Greenwich Ready Mix, the Village of Greenwich DPW, Tracy Materials, Ashcroft Construction, Ralph Briggs and retired as a truck driver from the B.J. Farms in Greenwich in 2003. He served as past assistant chief of the Middle Falls Fire Dept. and was an avid camper and camped at Bullwagga Bay in Port Henry. Dick was a motorcycle rider, an avid hunter and a skilled heavy-equipment operator. He is survived by his wife, Betty Casey Perkins; his sons and daughters-in-law, Richard R. Perkins and his wife, Mardi, of Greenwich, Timothy Perkins and his wife, Michelle, of Easton, Peter Perkins and his wife, Tina, of Middle Falls, Scott Perkins and his late wife, Sharon, of Salem and Kyle Perkins and his wife, Laurie, of Middle Falls. Dick is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Ralph Perkins of Greenwich, Bert Perkins of Glens Falls, Jackie Pfeiffer of Easton, Evelyn Weiles of Victory Mills and Don Perkins of Greenwich. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews including two very special nieces, Juanita Boyce and Barb Scaglione. In addition to his parents, Dick was predeceased by his brothers and sisters: Harry Perkins, Mary Mosher, Charles Perkins, Robert Perkins and Roger Perkins and also a grandchild, Jamie Lee Perkins. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2005, at 11:30 a.m. at the Greenwich Cemetery, with the Rev. Debbie Earthrowl officiating.
