It appears from the Rolls on file in this Office that Archibald Kilmer was enrolled on the 20th day of August, 1862, at Argyle in Co. F 123'd Regiment of New York Volunteers, to serve 3 years and mustered into service as a Private on the 4th day of September, 1862, at Salem, NY in Co F, 123'd Regiment of New York Volunteers, to serve 3 years. On the Muster Rolls of Co F of that Regiment, for the months of Mar & Apr '64 to July & Aug 1864 he is reported present for duty. Roll Sept & Oct '64 sick in Hosp'l. Mustered out on Ind. Roll August 2/65 at Louisville KY. Co was stationed at Atlanta GA in Sept & Oct '64. The records of this office furnish no evidence of disability as alleged. McFadden aged 62 years, a resident of Prairie City in the County of Jasper, and state of Iowa well known to me to be reputable and credit, and being duly sworn, declares, in relation to the aforesaid case, as follows: I have known said Killmer ever since he was born, that he was in my employ. Before he enlisted in the army in the War of the Rebellion and that before his enlistment he was a sound healthy able bodied man. That before his enlistment he worked for me on the farm and did all kinds of heavy farm work and made a full hand at any work required of him on the farm. Affiant further says that prior to his enlistment he had never been treated for any disease of any nature whatever, being a perfect sound healthy man free from any disease, ailment or any complaint. That he was not employed in the military or naval service of the United States otherwise than as stated above. That he was born June 12th 1835. That his several places of residence since leaving the service have been as follows: Washington County, NY and Phillips County Kansas his present Place of Residence. That he has heretofore applied for pension that his pension certificate No is 269.584. That he makes this declaration for the purpose of being placed on the pension roll of the United Status under the provisions of the act of February 6, 1907. That she is the widow of Archibald Killmer Co F 123 Reg't New York Vol who was Enrolled under the name of Archibald Killmer at Salem New York on the 20th day of August 1862 as a Private in Co F 123 Regt New York Vol Inft and honorably discharged August 2nd 1865 having served ninety days or more during the late civil war. That she was married under the name of Cathrine Rice to said soldier at Argyle, Washington Co, New York on the 25th day of Sept 1867 by Rev. Hichcock that there was no legal barrier to the marriage; that she had not been previously married, that the soldier had been previously married in 1858 at Argyle, Washington County, New York died in August 1865 at Syracuse, New York and that neither she nor said soldier married otherwise than as stated above. That the soldier died June 23rd 1915 at Kirwin Kansas. That she has not heretofore applied for pension. That he post office address is Kirwin, County of Phillips, State of Kansas. Attest: (1) W.H.H.
