An unknown newspaper hand-dated March 22, 1894:

Dyer P. Sisson, aged 73 years, died at his residence in this place last Saturday afternoon of
concussion of the brain. Mr. Sisson was in the merchantile business at this place for over 45
years, and the postmaster about 40 years. The funeral occurred Monday afternoon from the late
residence, the Rev. Henry Gordon of Coila officiating.
