Jackson Sentinel, March 12, 1885 

WARD— On Sunday, March 1st, Mrs. Polly Ward, at the residence of her son-in-
law, Morgan Tubbs, Maquoketa. She was born in Washington Co., N. Y., in 1803. 
She united with the Baptist church, at the age of 31 years. Six of her 
children are still living, three of whom are in Iowa. Interment was in the 
Mount Hope cemetery, Maquoketa.
