TANNER: I Martin P. Tanner of the Town of Kingsbury, Washington County, New York, being of sound mind and memory and considering the uncertainty of this life, do therefore hereby make, ordain, publish, and declare this to be my last Will and Testament, viz.: 1. I give and bequeath the sum of Twenty-five Dollars to my grand daughter Lina Hesketh, and the sum of Twenty-five Dollars to each of my four daughters, Leona Roselli, Jessie Denton, Carrie Moss and Marion Crawford, and I bind and change with this fragment of said sum of One Hundred and twenty-five Dollars, the real estate hereinafter devised ro my son Fred H. Tanner. 2. I give and divise unto my son Gred H. Tanner all the tract or parcel of land on which I reside and on which my dwelling house and buildings stand, and containing about Fifty acres of land in said Town of Kingsbury, to be his and his heirs and assigns forever, subject however to the payment of One Hundred and Twenty Five Dollars hereintofore referred to. 3. I give and bequeath unto my son Fred H. Tanner all my farming stock and tools and household furniture, including all my horses and cattle. 4. I give and devise unto my son William G. Tanner all that tract or parcel of land known as the "Plain Lot" and containing about thirty eight acres of land in said Town of Kingsbury. 5. I make, constitut and appoint my son William G. Tanner to the executor of this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former Wills by me made. Smalley The foregoing instrument, consisting of a little more than one page of paper, was on this day of the day thereof, subscribed by Martin P. Tanner deceased. State of New York Washington County George Sherrill and Alphonso D. Smalley whose names are signed to the said will as witnesses, being each severally and duly sworn and examined as witness in the above signed entitled matter says, and each for himself says. I was acquainted with the above named Martin P. Tanner in his lifetime and was present and saw him enter his name at the end of the instrument now ______ to me and offered for Probate as his Last Will and Testament bearing date the 28th day of September one thousand eight hundred and ninety six. At this time of subscribing his name as aforesaid, the said decedent published and declared the said instrument to be his Last Will and Testament in the presence of myself and of the other subscribing witness above named. I then subscribed my name as a witness to the said instrument, at the request of the said decedent and in his presence. Grenville M. Ingalsln, Surrogate Additional Comments: ABRAHAM DICKERSON was born July 11, 1795 in Orange County, New York. He married (1) Lucretia Bull (2) (3)Caroline Matilda (Burnam?) Tanner, in Orange County, New York. Caroline was the widow of Benjamin Tanner. Abraham Dickerson died on January 5, 1880 in Sumpter Township, Wayne County, MI.; and is buried in Martinville Cemetary. Caroline Matilda (Burnam?) Tanner was born March 2, 1807 in Kingsbury, New York. She was christened Caroline died December 31, 1879 in Sumpter, Wayne County, Michigan. I do not know much more about her family, at present. Abraham and Caroline only had one child, William Seward Dickerson, but both had children from their other marriages.
