In the name of God Amen. I Isaac Harlow of the town of Whitehall in the County of Washington and State of New York, being weak in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory blessed be Almighty God for the same do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following (to wit). Considering, that I have no wife or companion according to solemn contract and agreement entered into (by she that was Sarah Moor) and myself as may appear by the said articles bearing date May the 18th day 1813 as will appear that she released all _______ claim or demand to my person of property, so that I consider she in justice and equity has no claim to any part of my Estate. 1stly It (is) my will that my two oldest sons Ransom and Isaac shall hold and enjoy the farms that they now live on that I have gave them deeds of to them and their heirs forever. 2ly It is my will that Byram my son shall hold and enjoy the fifty acres of land I have deeded to him lying in McIntoshes patent and three hundred dollars worth of my property to set off to him in land or other property which he shall chose at the appraisal of mine. 3ly It is my will that my daughter Lecti and her husband have three hundred dollars of my property to be set off to her out of my Estate. 4ly That William B. Warner my grandson have fifty dollars in a colt or a young horse. 5ly That Matteson Dwyer my grandson have and receive one hundred dollars out of my estate when he comes to be twenty one years of age if he continues to live with me or some of the family and conducts himself well----- 6ly It is my will that first of all before the above legacies are paid out that all my just and legal debts and demands and funeral charges be discharged and fully paid. 7ly That if there is property enough to meet the above arrangements that the timber that lyes down by Isaac be equally divided between Ransom, Isaac and Byram. 8ly If there should be any over___ of property after meeting the above statements that the over ____ be equally divided amongst my children. 9thly And lastly I do appoint Ransom Harlow and Isaac Harlow Executors to this my last will and testament hereby revoking all forms wills by me made in witness where of I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twentieth day of August and in year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventeen. Surrogate of the court of Washington, aforesaid Paul Spink, one of the inscribing witness to the will of Isaac Harlow late of the town of Whitehall in the said county deceased who, being duly sworn, declared that he witnessed the said Isaac Harlow deceased, seal and execute the instrument, a copy of which is herewith annexed, and impressed with the seal of office. The said surrogate, which said instrument purports to be the will and testament of Isaac Harlow deceased bearing date the twentieth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventeen that he heard him the said Isaac Harlow publish and declare the same as and for his last Will & Testament, that, at the time thereof to the said Isaac Harlow was of sound disposing mind and memory to the best knowledge and belief of him the said Paul Spink and that he together with Moses Nelson & E. Hurd the other witnesses to the said will, did severally subscribe their names there as witnesses in the presence of the testator. In testimony where of the said surrogate hath here unto set his LS and affixed his seal of office. Done at Granville this 19th day of January in the year of our Lord 1829. S. Standish. Washington County Be it also remembered that on the 19th day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty nine personally appeared before me the said surrogate, Ransom Harlow & Isaac Harlow Executors in the aforesaid Will named, and were duly sworn to the faithful performance and execution thereof by taking the usual oath in that case provided. Washington County, Js The people of the state of New York by the grace of God free and independent To all to whom there present shall come and may concern ____ Greeting. Know ye that at Granville in the county of Washington on the 19th day of Jan. in the year of our Lord 1829, before S. Standish Junior Esq. Surrogate of our said county, the last will and testament of Isaac Harlow late of Whitehall in the said county, deceased (a copy whereof is hereunto annexed) was proved and is now approved and allowed of by us and the said decease having whilst living, at the time of his death, goods, chattels, or credits within this state, by means whereof the proving and registering the said will, and the granting administration of a hand singular the said goods, chattels & credits and also the ____cting allowing and final discharging the amounts thereof, doth belong to us. The administration of all and singular the goods, chattels and credits of the said deceased, and any [may?] concerning his will is granted unto Ransom Harlow & Isaac Harlow Executors in the said will named being just duly sworn will and faithfully to administer the same to make and exhibit unto the office of the surrogate of the county of Washington, a true & prefect inventory of said and singular the said goods, chattels and credits, also to write a just & true account thereof when thereunto required.
