I, TRUMAN MASON of GRANVILLE in the County of WASHINGTON and State of NEW YORK being of sound mind and memory and considering the uncertainty of this frail and transitory life do make, publish and declare this my Last Will and Testament in manner following (to wit) After all my lawful debts and funeral expenses are paid and discharged the residue of my estate both real and personal I give and bequeath as follows: 1ST : I give and bequeath unto my SON JAMES O. MASON one fourteenth of all my estate both real and personal. 2ND : I give and bequeath unto my SON LINUS R. MASON two fourteenths of all my estate both real and personal. 3RD : I give and bequeath unto my GRAND DAUGHTERS DAUGHTERS of FAYETTE P. MASON deceased JENNIE MASON and CARRIE MASON one twenty eighths each of all my estate both real and personal. 4TH : I give and bequeath unto my SON JEROME MASON two fourteenths of all my estate both real and personal. 5TH : I give and bequeath unto my SON HORACE G. MASON two fourteenths of all my estate both real and personal. 6TH : I give and bequeath unto my SON ALONZO P. MASON two fourteenths of all my estate both real and personal. 7TH : I give and bequeath unto my DAUGHTER PHEBE JANE PRATT two fourteenths of all my estate both real and personal. 8TH : I give and bequeath unto my DAUGHTER ELIZA ANN SMITH two fourteenths of all my estate both real and personal. 9TH : I hereby constitute and appoint my SONS JAMES O. and LINUS R. MASON the EXECUTORS of this my Last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made. BECKWITH, GRANVILLE, WASH CO, NY SURROGATES COURT WASHINGTON COUNTY In the matter of proving the Last Will And Testament of TRUMAN MASON deceased WASHINGTON COUNTY S.S. JOHN S. BURBANK and H. W. BECKWITH being first duly sworn in open court severally depose and say that they were acquainted with the above named TRUMAN MASON in his life time; and <______> they <______> each of them were present and saw him subscribe his name at the end of the instrument in writing now produced and exhibited to them purporting to be the Last Will and Testament of the said deceased bearing date the 29th Day of July A.D. one thousand eight hundred and sixty seven. That the said deceased at the time of subscribing his name as aforesaid published and declared the said instrument to be his Last Will and Testament, in the presence of these deponents and of each of them, and these deponents, at the request of the said deceased, and in his presence and in the presence of each other, subscribed their names respectively therein as witnesses to the execution thereof, the said deceased was a citizen of the United States above the age of twenty one years of sound disposing mind and memory, and not under any restraint to the best of the knowledge, information and belief of these deponents.
