This Indenture made the sixteenth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty seven, between Abraham J. Vancamp of the Town of Marion, County of Wayne and State of New York and Almyra his wife of the first part, and Jacob Garlock of the same town of the second part, witnesseth, that the said parties of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred and seven dollars and forty four cents to them in hand paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby confessed and acknowledged have granted, bargained, sold, remised, released, aliened and confirmed; and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, remise, release, alien, and confirm, unto the said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns forever, all that certain tract or parcel of land, situate in said town of Marion, and is bounded as follows, to wit; beginning at the Southwest corner of land belonging to Waterman Hanks, running from thence North eighty eight degrees East along the line of said Hankses land five chains to a stake; thence South seventeen degrees and thirty minutes East sixty seven links to a stake, thence South seventy two degrees and thirty minutes West four chains and eighty eight links to a stake in the line of the highway thence Northerly along the East line of said highway to the place of beginning; reserving out the same thirty eight rods and one half rod of land situate in the South west corner of the premises above described which was deeded by the said parties of the first part to Alden H. Eddy on the twenty ninth day of May eighteen hundred and thirty seven, containing after deducting the above reservation sixty four rods and one half rod be the same more or less, together with all and singular the hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or anywise appertaining, and the reversion and reversions, remainder and remainders, rents, issues and profit thereof; and all the estate, right, title, interest, claim and demand whatsoever of the said parties of the first part, either in law or equity of, I and to the above bargained premises, with the said hereditament and appurtenances. To have and to hold the said premises above described to the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns to the sole and only proper use, benefit, and behoof of the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Abraham J. VanCamp for himself, his heirs, executors and administrators do covenant, grant, bargain and agree to and with the said of the second part, his heirs and assigns, that at the time of the asealing and delivery of these presents he was well seized of the premises above conveyed in as of a good, sure perfect, and indefeasible estate of inheritance in the law in fee simple. And that the above bargained premises, in the quiet and peaceable possession of the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, against all and every person or persons lawfully claiming or to claim the whole or any part thereof, he will forever warrant and defend. Van Camp and Almira his wife, whom I know to be the grantors described in, and who executed the above deed, and acknowledged that they had executed the same.
