--The death of Mr. Robert Hoffman, an old resident of Clyde, occurred on Saturday at
the age of 72 years.  
Mr. Hoffman was a glass blower by trade, and commenced work in the Clyde Glass Works
soon after they 
were established.  He is said to have been one of the oldest glass blowers in the
United States.  the funeral 
services were held at the Methodist Episcopal Church Tuesday afternoon, and were
attended by the Clyde 
glass blowers.  in a body.

Additional Comments:
Mary Ann (Hoffman) Waldorf was my Great, Great, Great, Great Grandmother.  Robert
was her father.  
Hoffman was originally incorrectly spelled as Huffman in the obituary (I have
corrected it in this 
transcription)
