Joseph Drakes Regiment. Fernow's New York in the Revolution, at pp. Shows that Joseph Drake was the Colonel of the 1st Westchester Militia Regiment. Other records of this Regiment are found in the folder in the National Archives in the folder under the name of this Regiment's Lieutenant Colonel, James Hamman. Fernow shows Capt. Globe Requa, Lt. Cornelius Van Tassel and Ensign Sebourt (Sybert) Acker were commissioned after election as officers of the Tarrytown Company on October 23, 1776. The election must have taken place prior to the above service since Fernow lists Abraham Storm as the original Captain. He is in the above payroll as Sergeant.)
