Last Will of William Vail 

I William Vail of the town of North Salem in the County of Westchester being
of feeble health but of sound disposing mind and memory Do make and publish
this my last will and testament in manner and form following. 

After the payment of all my just debts and funeral expenses I give and
bequeath unto my wife Abigail (formerly Abigail Hunt) with whom I now live,
all my personal estate of every description; also the use and occupation
during her natural life of one third part of all my real estate; which bequest
to my said wife is to be deemed and taken in heir of dower in and to my
estate. 

All the rest and residue of my estate, wheresoever situate or being, I give, 
bequeath and devise to my two sons, by my aforesaid wife Abigail to wit: David 
Vail and William Vail, to be equally divided between them and to have and to 
hold to them their heirs and assigns for ever. 

And lastly I hereby make, constitute and appoint my two before named sons and
my friend Epenetus Howe of North Salem, Executors of this my last will and 
testament, hereby revoking all other and former wills by me made. 

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this sixth day of
August in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and forty one. 

Signed, sealed, published & declared by the Testator to be his last will & 
testament in presence of us. what at his request and in his presence have 
subscribed our names witness to the execution of the same.
