Smith & Orrin Smith. A right-of-way leads from the Pflaum Road to the cemetery grounds. It is less than a half mile from Dale Pioneer Cemetery, which is on the Main Dale Road. The present (1978) directors are: Elmer Bagg, Pres., Frank Kessler, Lewis Gay, Velma Thomson, Wayne Dersam, Bernita Wombwell & Mildred Belt. We are indebted to Lewis Gay, secretary for updating the 1955 records compiled by Charles Pflaum. Some interments from the Pioneer Cemetery in Dale have been removed to the present cemetery.] obits; Sylvanus Hawley's Undertaking record book 188_ - 189_; census records (before 1900); and other records. The lots contain 6 graves. NOTE: I have entered possible maiden names in capital letters. PLEASE confirm or disprove these prior to stating that they are the actual maiden name. I have also not entered redundant names, eg: if "Delia" (Filkins) Austin was the daughter of Seaman Filkins and the wife of Norris Austin, I have not entered the surname twice. I have also used the abbreviation m. for married. This listing will contain more information than that found on the gravestone. Additions and corrections will be greatly appreciated. Doris A. Bannister, Middlebury Town Historian, 25 May 1997.
