COOLBAUGH hand dated 1925 John W. Coolbaugh died in the hospital at Penn Yan on Saturday, Oct. 10, as the result of injuries he received the preceding Sunday when the automobile in which he was riding was struck by a locomotive at the Hollister street crossing in this village. Mr. Coolbaugh was born in Hornby, March 6, 1864, and was 61 years of age. Much of his early life was spent around Altay. On Nov. 27, 1906, he married Miss Anna Coon of Milo, and for the past 18 years they have lived in this village. For several years Mr. Coolbaugh conducted a general store in Milo Center. He is survived by his wife, and one son, Stanley, of this village; one brother, O. W. Coolbaugh of Altay and one sister, Mrs. Edward Littell of Dundee, besides a number of cousins. The funeral was held at the house Tuesday afternoon, with the Rev. M. E. Bartholomew officiating. Interment was in Hillside cemetery. (This is presumably from the Dundee observer.)
