Florance William L. Florance died Monday, November 10, 1952, at his farm home on the Preemption road southwest of Dundee, after a long illness. He was born in the town of Milo, Yates county, November 3, 1865, and was 87 years of age. On January 1, 1890, he married Miss Celinda Struble, and they moved to Barrington 39 years ago. He was a member of the Dundee Baptist church. He is survived by his widow, a daughter, Mrs. Merton Rose, at home; a son, Ernest Florance of Rock Stream; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 at the Sargent & Oughterson funeral home, with Rev. Benjamin Disbrow officiating.
