scrap of obit found in a cookbook published 1891
Mrs. Mary HANDY.  Mrs. Mary COONS HANDY died at the home of her only son, 
Edward ---- HANDY in Dresden, May 18th.  ---- was married to Charles HANDY 
December 13, 1855.  Funeral services were held at the home of her son May 2- 
Rev. Franklin HAMILTON officiating. (continued on page two. not included in 
clippings)

Additional Comments:
The cookbook is entitled "The Way to a Man's Heart."  It is a first edition 
published in 1891 by the ladies of the First Baptist Church of Elmira.  There 
are many recipe clippings tucked in.  This obit is on the back of a suggestion 
on cooking doughnuts.  The book may have been owned by Mrs. Peter Flynn.
