MURPHY The death of Daniel L. Murphy, 66, occurred Wednesday, October 23, 1946, after a long period of ill health. He was born in Watkins Glen, July 3, 1880. He died at his home in Penn Yan where he had been for the past eight weeks, having moved there from this village at that time. He was well known in this village and community, having lived here for 40 years. He also lived in Penn Yan for 24 years. He was engaged in business in this community for many years and was employed in Penn Yan. He also engaged in business in Dresden for a year and a half. He is survived by his wife and by one brother, Henry Murphy of LeRoy. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:30 Friday morning at the Hess Funeral Home, and at 9:00 o’clock at St. Andrews church in this village, Rev. H. Bisky officiating.
