Rose Funeral services will be held Wednesday for Merton C. Rose, 77, of 315 Dodge Ave., who died Monday at 12:20 p. m. at his home following an apparent heart seizure. Born in Cuba, N. Y., Feb. 18, 1895, he was the son of Charles and Leila Cole Rose. He married Viola Florance June 28, 1921 in Dundee. Mr. Rose was a guard at Ingersoll-Rand Co. in Painted Post for 18 years, retiring in 1960. He was a member of the Dundee Baptist Church. Surviving are: his wife, Viola, two sons, Richard of Mocksville, N. C., and Alton of Corning; two daughters, Mrs. Albert Green of Elmira Heights and Mrs. Clifford Rockwell of Corning; four sisters, Mrs. Ada Neil of Olean, Mrs. Genevieve Dewey of Jupiter, Fla., Mrs. Marian Kelsey of Lockport and Mrs. Irene Keller of Toledo, Ohio: four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Pennington-Oughterson Funeral Home in Dundee Tuesday from 7-9 p. m. Funeral services will be held there Wednesday at 2 p. m. with the Rev.
