I, Jonathan Baily, considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say. First, I give and devise to my son Samuel Baily his heirs and assigns the farm on which he now lives being the same land that was purchased by me of Archibald McIntyr (situated in the town of Springwater in Livingston county) containing about fifty acres be the same more or less. I give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah Wilhelm the balance of one thousand dollars which shall remain after deducting from that sum the amount of a note which I hold against George Wilhelm together with the interest up to the time of my decease which said balance I do pay to her in three equal annual payments from the time of my decease. The amount of the said note is two hundred and ninety six dollars and forty cents and is dated the 18th of July 1837. Having given to my son, James L Baily, a farm in the town of Springwater of one hundred and twenty-six acres, I consider that his share of my estate. I give and devise to my son, Jonathan Baily, his heirs and assigns, the farm on which I now live in the town of Milo, aforesaid containing about one hundred and twenty acres be the same more or less. I also give and bequeath to my said son Jonathan all the residue of my personal estate after paying the legacy above mentioned to my daughter, Sarah. Lastly, I appoint my said son, Jonathan Baily and my son-in-law George Wilhelm executors of this my last will and testament therefore revoking all my former wills by me made. In witness thereof I have herein to set my hand and seal the twentieth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand and eight hundred and forty-six.
