Will Book Vol. F page 117 Written: March 11, 1852 Recorded: April 26, 1852 (Will) I Robert Robertson of the Town of the Town of Potter in the County of Yates do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner following: Firstly. After the payment my just debts and funeral expenses, I give, desire and bequeath unto my beloved wife Sophia Y. the use, rents and profits of my whole estate real and personal for and until our youngst child shall arrive at the age of twenty one years, in confidence that my said wife will support and take care of such of our children as may wish or desire to reside with her during their minority. And I give my said wife full power and authority to sell and dispose of such part or portion of my personal property as she may deem proper and for such use and purpose as she may wish at any time during the minority of our said children. Secondly. Whatever of my said property and effects shall remain undisposed of on the arrival at the age of twenty one years of our said youngest child as aforesaid I give desire and bequeath the same unto my eight children by said present wife their heirs to be divided between them by my said wife in the following manner, the whole of the said property and effect to be valued at the just and true value thereof and the said amount to be divided into twelve equal parts, I give and bequeath to each of my four sons by my present wife two twelfth thereof and to each of my four daughters by my said wife one twelfth thereof and to their heirs respectively. My further will, wish and desire is that the farm on which I now reside in the Town of Potter containing about fifty acres shall not be sold or pass out of the possession of my said wife and children until after the death of my two sons William S. and Otis Marion, my wish and directions are that any said property be so divided in making the division aforesaid that the said farm above mentioned remain in my said family or some one of the legatees above named until the death of my said two sons above named. Lastly. I hereby appoint my beloved wife Sophia Y. sole executor of this my last will and testament and hereby give her full power and authority to sell and convey any or all of my real estate except the farm above mentioned, if she shall deem a sale for the best interest of the legatees herein named. Dated this 11 day of March 1852.
