I, Truman Read of the town of Italy Yates Co. N.Y. being of sound mind and memory and considering the uncertainty of this frail and transitory life, do therefore make, obtain, publish and do declare this to be my last Will and Testament. First. After all my lawful debts are paid and discharged, I give and bequeath unto Rebecca my wife all of my household goods and furniture, One horse and one cow. And I hereby order and direct my executors to sell all of the balance of my real and personal estate to be divided as follows viz: to Rebecca my wife one third to have hold and control for her own use and benefit during her natural life and the balance that may remain after her decease to be divided equally between my heirs hereinafter mentioned. the remaining two thirds to be equally divided between my Daughters Wealthy A wife of James Stebbins Clarissa B. wife of Geo. W. Green Mary A. wife of Geo. Hunter and Sarah J. wife of Henry Storms, and my sons Calvin L. Reed and Henry T. Reed. the above gifts and bequests to my wife Rebecca are in lieu of Dower or thirds Likewise, I make, constitute and appoint James Stebbins and my wife Rebecca Read to be executor and executrix of this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former Wills by me made.
