A. C. This Indenture made this first day of November one thousand Eight hundred and nine between Samuel Black and and Jean Black his wife of the County of Adams and State of Ohio of the one part and Andrew Alexander of the county and State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of Six hundred Dollars by the said Andrew Alexander unto the said Samuel Black in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged he the said Samuel Black and Jean his wife hath granted barganed and Sold and by these preasents doth grant bargan and Sell unto the Said Andrew Alexander his heirs and assigns for ever all that tract or parcel of land lying and being in the county and State aforesaid and on the West fork of Brush Creek it being part of a Survey of one thousand acres granted to Francis Taylor for his Military Services on Survey Number two thousand and forty three and Sold by Reubin Taylor Executor of Francis Taylor deceased of the county of Jefferson and State of Kentucky unto the aforesaid Samuel Black and conveyed by the said Taylor unto the said Black by a deed bearing date the twenty fifth day of October One thousand Eight hundred and three and bounded and described as follows to wit Begining at a Sugar tree and Small white oak in the line of the original Survey of which this is a part running thence with said line North Sixty Seven and a half degrees West one hundred and forty four poles cross the creek at forty poles to a white Walnut Elm and Dogwood thence South twenty degrees and three fourths of a degree West One hundred and Seventy eight poles cross the Creek at ninty Six poles to an Elm and two Redbuds thence South Sixty Seven degrees and one half of a degree East one hundred and thirty Six poles to a black oak ash and hickory thence North twenty two degrees and three fourths of a degree East one hundred and Seventy Seven and three fourths poles to the beginning containing one hundred and fifty five acres and one half acres be the same moore or less, together with all and Singular the appurtenances to the said premises belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversions remainders and profits thereof and all the estate right title interest claim and demand of them the Said Samuel Black and Jean his wife of and into the same To have and to hold the lands hereby conveyed with all and Singular the premises and every part and parcel thereof with every of the appurtenances unto the said Andrew Alexander his heirs and assigns for ever to the only proper use and behoof of him the said Andrew Alexander his heirs and assigns for ever and the Said Samuel Black doth for himself his heirs and Executors warrant and forever defend the title of the above granted land and premises unto the said Andrew Alexander his heirs and assigns forever against the claim or claims of all manner of person or persons whatsoever. In testimony whereof he the said Samuel Black and Jean his wife hath hereunto set their hands and affixed their Seals the day and date first within written. The said Jane Black being first by me fully informed of the contents of the within deed and also examined separate and apart from and out of the hearing of her said husband declared that she relinquished her right of dower to the premises within mentioned and also that she signed the same of her own free and Voluntary will and accord without the coortion or compultion of her said husband.
