Witnesseth that the said Thomas Vowles and John Massey as agents for the said Nathaniel Fox, for and in consideration of the sum of rour hundred dollars to them in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged; have granted, bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain sell and confirm unto the said William Grymes, his heirs and assign all that parcel of land situated and being in the County of Adams and the Commonwealth of Ohio and on the waters of the Ohio River containing fifty acres of land, being a part of the tract of land surveyed in the issue of Nathaniel Fos of siix hundred sisty- six and two-thirds acres of land, and bouonded as follows: Viz. Beginning at an elm and two beach trees on the bank of the river and southwest corner of James Lawson' land, thence with his line North 10 degrees East one-hundred ninety five poles to a sugar tree, and Elm in Nathaniel Fox's upper back line and James Lawson's Northwest corner, thence with the said back line, North sixty degrees West forty six poles to a white walnut, honeylocust, small sugar tree and a small hickory in said back line (crossing Little Three Mile Creek at nine poles distance from said Lawson's northwest corner) thence south 10 degrees west 200 poles to two beach trees and a buckeye on the river bank and a maple at the edge of the Ohio River (crossing Little Three Mile Creek within twenty poles of the North West corner of the aforesaid fifty acres of land) thence seven degrees East. together will and singulan, the premises thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining: to have and to hold the land hereby conveyance with the appurtenances, unto the said William Grimes, his heirs and assigns forever. And said Thomas vowles and John S. Massey agts for the said nathanier Fox, for him said Fox, his heirs, executrors, administrators and assigns, the aforesaid Tract of Land and Premises unto the said william Grimes heirs or assigns, against the claims or claimms of all and every person or persons, whatsoe, do and will with and warrant forever defend, by these presents. there where of the said Thomas Vowles and John S. Massey agts for the said Nathaniel Fox, for the said Fox, have hereunto set their hands and seals this dat and date first above written, ever, against or claims, of all persons whatever. In witness whereof the said Nathaniel Fox by the said Earl Mason his attorney in fact, hath here unto affixed his hand seal of the dan and year first above writte.
