Witnesseth that the said David Harbinson Cen’r. [should be Sen’r?] by his attorney in fact Robert Brackinridge for and in consideration of the Sum of nine hundred & ninety six Dollars current money of the United States of America to me in hand paid the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge and forever acquit and discharge the sd. John Alexander his heirs executors and administrators have granted bargained sold aliened and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell alien and confirm unto the said John Alexander his heirs and assigns forever all that tract or parcel of land lying & being in the County of Adams and State of Ohio on the waters of the west fork of Brush Creek a part of a Survey of One thousand acres No. 2287 and deeded to the sd. David Harbinson by Abraham Hite assignee of Jacob Coalman and bounded and described as follows to wit. Beginning at two white Oaks South East corner to original Survey and North east corner to Robert Brackinridges Survey thence with his line South fourteen degrees west three hundred and Sixty three poles to three Dogwoods thence North Sixty degrees west one hundred and Seventy four poles to two dogwoods thence north twenty three degrees East three hundred & Sixty three poles to a Stake and two Dogwoods thence South Sixty Six degrees East One hundred and nineteen poles to the beginning. Together with all improvements water courses profits and appurtenances whatsoever to the sd. premises belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversions remainders and profits thereof & all the estate right title Interest property claim and demand of him the sd. David Harbison Cen’r. of in and to the same to Have & to Hold the lands hereby conveyed with all & Singular the premises & every part and parcel thereof with every of the appurtenances unto the sd. John Alexander his heirs and assigns forever and the sd. David Harbison by his said Attorney Robt Brackinridge for himself his heirs executors & administrators do covenant promise and agree to and with the sd. John Alexander his heirs and assigns by these presents that the premises before mentioned now are and forever hereafter Shall remain free of and from all former rents gifts grants bargains Sales dowers rights and titles of dowers Judgments executions titles charges & incumbrances whatosever done or suffered to be done by him the sd. David Harbison Cen’r. and the sd. David Harbison his heirs and all & Singular the premises hereby bargained and sold with the appurtenances unto the said John Alexander his heirs and assigns against the him the sd. David Harbison his heirs and all & every other person or persons whatosever doth and will warrant and forever defend by these present. In Witness whereof I the sd. David Harbison by my sd. Attorney Robert Brackinridge hath hereunto set my hand and Seal the day and year first above written. I do hereby certify that this day personally appeared before me William Lacock one of Commonwealth Justices of the peace in & for sd. County the within bound David Harbison Cen’r. by his attorney in fact Robert Brackinridge and acknowledged the within signing & sealing to be his act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned.
