All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/oh/ohfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Linda Deppner http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00012.html#0002870 November 3, 2010, 1:05 am Written: March 26, 1829 Recorded: April 10, 1829 Adams County, Ohio Deed Book 13, pages 526-527 Robbins to Alexander This Indenture made this 26th day of March in the year one thousand eight hundred and twenty nine between William Robbins & Elizabeth his wife of the County of Adams and state of Ohio of the one part and James Alexander of the County & state aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said William Robbins and Elizabeth his wife for and in consideration of the sum of sixty two Dollars current money of the United States of America to them in hand paid the receipt whereof they hereby acknowledge and forever acquit and discharge the said James Alexander his heirs executors & administrators have granted bargained sold aliened & confirmed and by the presents do grant bargain sell alien and confirm unto the said James Alexander his heirs and assigns forever all that tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Adams on Hills fork of Eagle Creek part of a survey of 5333-1/3 acres in the name of Thomas Hill No. 798 Beginning at two white oaks and water beech thence north 132 poles to two white oaks and black ash thence W 37.7 poles to a red bud and two small white oaks thence South 15-3/4 East to the Beginning Containing fifteen acres eighty poles and 12.22 poles Together with all improvements watercourses profits and appurtenances whatsoever to the said premises belonging or in any wise appertaining & the reversions remainders and profits thereof and all the estate right title interest property claim & demand of them the said William Robbins and Elizabeth his wife of in and to the same To Have & to Hold the premises hereby conveyed and every part & parcel thereof with the appurtenances thereunto belonging to the only proper use and behoof of the said James Alexander his heirs and assigns forever. And the said William Robbins and Elizabeth his wife for their heirs executors & administrators do covenant & promise and agree to & with the said James Alexander his heirs and assigns by these presents that they are the true and lawful owners of the premises hereby granted and have good right full power and lawful authority to sell and convey the same in manner aforesaid, and that the premises are free and clear of and from all incumbrances whatever and further that the said William Robbins and Elizabeth his wife for the premises aforesaid together with the appurtenances and every part and parcel thereof unto the said James Alexander his heirs and assigns against them or by from or under any other person or persons whomsoever. In Witness Whereof the said William Robbins and Elizabeth his wife have hereunto set their hands & seals the day & year first above written. Personally appeared before me the subscriber a justice of the peace in and for said County William Robbins and Elizabeth his wife signers to the within deed of Conveyance and several acknowledged the signing & sealing thereof to be their act & deed for the purposes therein expressed the said Elizabeth being seperate and apart from her said husband and the contents to her made known she acknowledged that she executed the same freely without fear or coertion of said husband.
