		SPENCER F. SPURGEON
	SPENCER F. SPURGEON, 75, 364 Yorkshire Dr., Jeffersonville, died at 
Arbors of London, Thursday, March 20, 1997.
	He was born Dec. 17, 1921 in Adams County, the son of NOAH SPURGEON and 
ROSA SCOTT SPURGEON.  His parents are deceased.
	He was a retired farmer and retired from Colonial Stair Case in 
Jeffersonville.  He was a member of the Sedalia Church of Christ in Christian 
Union, graduated from Port William High School in 1939, was a veteran of WWII 
Army, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American 
Veterans.
	Survivors are his wife, FREDA ELLEN PIERCE SPURGEON whom he married 
March 15, 1944, a daughter, CONNIE (CAREY) YOUNG of Hamilton, sons, Rev. DON F. 
(AGNES) SPURGEON of Grove Port, Ohio, NEIL E. (JOAN) SPURGEON of Washington 
C.H., LEE W. (NINA) SPURGEON of Jeffersonville, five grandchildren; two 
brothers, NOAH RUSSELL SPURGEON of Mowrystown, Ohio, CHARLES SPURGEON of 
Lillington, N.C.; and one sister IDA KATHRYN MILLER of Dayton.
	A funeral service will be held Saturday morning at 11 a.m. at 
Littletown Funeral Home in Sabina with burial in Fairview Cemetery, 
Jeffersonville.
