Page 5, Col. 2 - "LOCAL PARAGRAPHS James Ramsey, aged 85 years, a veteran of the Civil War, died at the home of his son, Lewis Ramsey, in Manchester, last Friday morning, his death resulting from the infirmities of old age. But a few hours after his demise, and on the same day, his son Lewis, aged 45 years, who was afflicted with Bright’s disease, breathed his last. The older Ramsey was a widower, but had been married four times. Lewis Ramsey is survived by seven children. The joint funeral of the father and son was held Monday services being conducted at the M.E. church." Page 5, Col. 3 - "SPRIGG TOWNSHIP James Ramsey and son, Lepote who both died at Manchester last week, were at one time respectible citizens of this township."
