From the West Union, Ohio, Adams County,  “People’s Defender” newspaper,  11 January 1906, Page 5, Col. 1.

"LOCAL PARAGRAPHS
      Mrs. Christina Stevenson, aged 84 years, died at her home in Monroe 
township, last Thursday.  The funeral was held Sunday morning at 10 o’clock, 
at Beasley Fork Chapel, of which congregation the deceased had been a member 
for many years.  The services were conducted by Rev. J. W. Shoemaker.  The 
deceased is survived by five children, all of whom were at the funeral.  Three 
of them, George, Samuel and Joseph, reside in Indiana; and two, William and 
Elijah in Monroe township."
