From an old newspaper clipping without a date or the name of the newspaper.
	
			JOHN THOMAS TARLTON
	John Thomas Tarlton, the son of Armistead and Anna Cole Tarlton, was 
born in Locust Grove, Ohio, March 6, 1862, and died March 4, 1934.
	He was united in marriage to Martha Jane Hanes in March 24, 1886.  To 
this union were born six children, one who died in infancy.
	He leaves to mourn their loss, his widow, and Catherine at home; Mrs. 
Marie A. Miller, of Springfield; Mrs. Luly Smart, of Bainbridge, Ohio; Mrs. 
Lee Verda Potts, of Greenfield, Ohio, R.1; and Charles, of Cythiana, Ohio.  
Also nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
	Also two sisters and two brothers :  Mrs. Bertha Smith, of Columbus; 
and Mrs. Louis Demler, of Cincinnati, Ohio.  Richard, of Chillicothe, Ohio, 
and Oscar, of Springfield, Ohio.  Also one half sister and two half brothers, 
Ida, of Sacramento, Cal., and Samuel Burton and Merritt, of Scranton, Pa.
	He was a good friend and neighbor and was loved by all, and will be 
sadly missed by all who knew him.
