Probate Matters

McClellan MILLER, of 318 Pennsylvania Ave., was judged insane by the probate court Friday, and will be taken to the Toledo asylum today. The unfortunate man is 36 years of age. he came to Lima about six months ago and went to work for the Lima Northern.
By an accident his skull was fractured and his mind greatly impaired.

Charles H. SWEET, adm'r of the estate of Augusta M. SWEET, deceased, filed his first and final account

Anna C. AMSTUTZ, administerix of the estate of John C. AMSTUTZ, deceased, filed her first and final account

Mary L. SLAUSON, administerix of the estate of Lewis SLAUSON, deceased, filed a petition asking to be permitted to compromise with the C.H. & D for the death of her husband, Lewis SLAUSON

T.J. WATKINS, adm'r of the estate of William E. WATKINS, deceased, filed his second and final account

The will of Sarah J. HILNER, deceased, was filed for probate

John BECK was granted a divorce from his wife, Mary BOOK, on the grounds of adultery

Sherriff BOGART, Friday took Adolph EMLICH to Dayton, to serve out his sentence in the work house

William HANTHORN and wife who live in Perry Twp., a half mile south of Perry chapel, are rejoicing over a baby boy that was born to them on Friday last.

Jesse WALTNER, alias Charles MILLER, and Henry WEST, the two men arrested by Detective HOYT, of the C.H.& D., one week ago, on suspicion, they having in their possession at the time of their arrest ten quart bottles of whiskey, are bad pills. They stole the liquor from a C.H.&D car at Ottawa, and Detective HOYT learned Friday that WALTNER lives at Leipsic and was sent to the peniteniary for twelve years from that place. The prisoners will be taken to Ottawa this morning where they will answer for the charge of burglary. They have been serving time in the city work house for loitering. 


Jjohn CLARK, aged 60 years, died at his home on McCullough st., friday after seven years illness, the result of wounds received during the war. He was a member of Co. D. 27th Massachuetts. funeral services were held Monday.

Saturday noon a message was received at Cincinnati, Hamilton and Dayton headquarters here announcing the death of louis RUST, a fireman employed on a switch engine in the Toledo yards. RUST was in the act of cleaning the fire in his engine when he fell over in a faint and before medical aid could be summoned, expired. Heart disease was the cause of his sudden death.

H.C. DICKSON, of Spencerville an enterprising young farmer and Miss Zoa B. BYRD, oldest daughter of John BYRD, of Amanda Twp., were married last evening at the home of the bride's parents. Rev. J.H. Cater, of this place, officiating. no guest's were present, except immediate relatives and friends. The young couple will make their future home on a farm near Lima, where the groom already has a house prepared.
