High St. The couple will spend the day with their family at the home of a grandson and his wife, Mr.Derek H. and Mrs.(nee Finn) Evans, 317 W. Ashton Ave. The Busserts were married in Cairo Feb. 14, 1900. Residents of Lima the last 14 years, the couple previously resided on a farm near Gomer, where Mr. Bussert was born. Both attended Dutch Hollow School in Sugar Creek Township. Mrs. Bussert (Dora Alice NEFF) is a native of Shenandoah County, VA. She Attended the Polytechnic Institute at New Market, VA., and Elkhurst Art School, Tyrone, Pa., where she engaged in portrait painting after completing the course. Bussert's grandparents were pioneers of the Lima and Allen County area. His grandmother, Tirzah Cunningham, who came to Lima in 1834, is believed to have been this city's first milliner. Her shop was located near the corner of North Elizabeth street and Sugar Alley. The Bussert farm was purchased from the federal government by Adam Bussert during the Andrew Jackson administration, and still remains in the family under the supervision of a grandson, William Reese. A daughter, Mrs Leone (Evans) Irwin, resides at the West High street address. Another daughter, Mrs. Marie Reese, died.
