H. CAMP has been very sick but is better at this writing. Rev. BERRY, of the M.E.Church, commenced his ministerial labors in the Lafayette charge last Sunday. Mr. & Mrs. David CLINGLER, after spending three weeks in Perry County, returned home Oct. 12. George MURRAY's son, who has been so badly afflicted with a wounded foot,was better Monday and Tuesday, but it is feared if he recovers he will be a cripple. Miss Mary E. CORBET, returned home Saturday, after an extended visit with friends and relatives in Kansas. Born to Mr. and Mrs. Wm. PATTERSON, Sept. 10th,1883, a daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Jacob SHRIDER's child, which was so badly afflicted with cholera infantum, is getting well. Tommy and Emmet ARNOLD, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Solomon ARNOLD, are very sick. Mrs. Jonathan TILLIS, spent Sunday with her relatives in Lima. Dr. James HUSTON, of Dunkirk, was here Sept 19th, relieving a number of people of tooth-ache. Last Saturaday L. CONTRIS shipped a car load of hogs and sheep to the eastern market. Mr. & Mrs. LEASE and daughter of Dunkirk, Sundayed with Mr. and Mrs. Charlie LEASE. Mrs.David MOYER, of Lima, is here, the guest of her sister, Mrs. Samuel STRAUSER. Mrs. Clark PATTERSON, of Bluffton, was here, the guest of Mrs. N. SAGER Jr. There will be a Sunday school picnic on Solomon SNYDER's farm, about 3 1/2 miles east of Lafayette, on Saturday Sept. 29. Mr. and Mrs. SLOCUM of Ashland, were here, the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. RUMBAUGH. Mr. and Mrs. John CAMP's adopted daughter, who was so very sick, is now convalescent. E. BECHTOL and N. CURTIS have purchased the goods of Baker & Arthur, at Cridersville, and took immediate possession. Miss Gusta BUTTERFOOS, has taken sick. F.L. HARRIS, of Ada, has been chosen teacher for the Intermediate department of the Lafayette school. N. CURTIS & Co., of Lafayette, have sold their grocery to David HOLLOWILL, who took possession Tuesday, and is now behind the counter waiting on his friends.
